“We had dinner before a theater event at Sandler. Restaurant was close to the facility with parking as well(warning: 2nd level has a 2 hour limit so go at least to the 3rd level). I had the orange chicken which could have used more orange flavor. My date and the Crispy Honey Shrimp and enjoyed it. Fried rice was good. Service was quick given the crowd in the restaurant. Server was cordial as well.“

“Came to the Lucky Oyster with family and it is our come to, when we visit! I had the Pungo Farms Chicken fried Chicken, garlic mashers, and green beans; it was the best I have ever had! Everything was homemade and tasted incredible! My wife had the nachos, they were the best also! And the service was fantastic!!!“

Friend had the shrimp salad- very large portion and yummy. My husband had shrimp and grits which was ok but not as good as mine. Lots of cherry tomatoes which weren’t necessary and not eaten. “We ended up here on a Thursday afternoon by chance. We actually needed to stop by Sam's Club which is right next door but we were so hungry we knew we wouldn't make good choices shopping on an empty stomach so we decided to eat lunch first and of the few restaurants in the same shopping complex, we ended up here at Forbidden Palace. Upon entering we were greeted by a human (lol) & then asked to follow 'Wally' the robot as he led us to our table. The place is a lot more spacious than it looks from the outside which was a nice surprise and the decor was anything but Chinese or 'palace' looking. The walls were painted a with a space themed mural which I actually thought was pretty cool! They had ample seating with booths and tables and a large bar. In the middle of the restaurant. They also had tvs which were on. A couple looked like they were on ESPN and at least one was on some kind of news channel. The music that was playing sounded like it was on 80s flashback. Again, I liked it but that's just my preference :) Now on to service and food. Our server Jim was great! He came by and introduced himself and really made us feel welcome. What I mean was that you could tell he enjoyed talking to people and even more importantly, he loved his job! The menu was slightly overwhelming as it had so many dishes to choose from. From apps to entrees there was something for everyone that I believe that even the most finicky eaters wouldn't be disappointed. It went from dim sum to sushi if that tells you anything. For apps, we ordered cilantro dumplings, siu mai and lettuce wraps & for our entree, we ordered the Peking duck with bao buns. Cilantro dumplings were tasty and light but only with a hint of cilantro. We were expecting just a little more cilantro flavor. Siu Mai was tasty especially dipped in the sauce that was provided. They were larger than we expected (at least 2 bites). But they were just a little dense for my liking - still tasty nonetheless. Lettuce wraps were excellent!! Very tasty with a good ratio of meat to chopped veggies. The sauce it was cooked in was not greasy at all. The lettuce leaves were also perfect (I point this out because some places don't pay attention to this little detail so I always appreciate fresh, clean, intact lettuce leaves). Peking duck with bao buns were amazing!!! We've never had duck with anything but rice or noodles so when the dish came out with a plate of bao buns we were slightly confused but Jim was more than happy to explain how to assemble and eat the bun :) I would definitely recommend checking this place out at least once if you've never been. Five stars for food and definitely for service because I don't believe 'personal preference' (about the siu mai) should factor into it. We'll be back!!“

They always replied promptly (which, when planning a wedding, is a just the best). They even reached out an extra time to see if i had any additional questions.I visited the baker today because I had a sweet tooth. It's such a cute little location with TONS of goodies to choose from. I ended up purchasing a cheesecake brownie and cranberry scone, and OMG, divine!! This is, hands down, probably one of the best bakeries in Virginia Beach.“

“It was my first time going to Rita’s and I usually have trouble choosing what I want or speaking to people, but the sweetest employee assisted me right away and let me try samples of the ice and hand scoped custard’s and recommended some flavors that she enjoys. My custard was so good I just can't get enough! The sweetest employee, I believe her name is Dafna, helped me sign up for Rita’s rewards to get better deals on future purchases. “I love CPK and used to eat there all the time when they had the Norfolk location when I went to MacArthur to shop. Now, MacArthur is an empty shell and Town Center is where it's at!I've been to this location several times and have joined their rewards program. They almost always send a monthly $10 off $40 and send you a birthday coupon for free dessert as well.I love their in-house pizzas made in their wood fired oven right in front of you. I often like to sit at the bar but there isn't a bad seat in the house bc they have maximized the space with windows all around and it's very open and light inside.Service is great and the menu is stellar. I LOVE their cobb salad and other salads and the best of all is their heavenly buttercake. Noms. It's sinful and SO good.They switch up some of the items on the menu seasonally and always adjust for what is in season at the time, love that.They have lunch specials for great prices and there is plenty of parking (free) in the local garages and shopping.A+“

“I had such a great experience here yesterday for brunch. We had a group of 5 come in at opening at 11am. Our server was super nice and patient with us. I had mentioned to her that this was my first time at this BC location and she was nice enough to bring me a complimentary chips with tomato/cheese sauce. I really appreciated this. We brought in a cake since it was 2 of our birthdays. I ordered the Maryland omelet with home fries and sourdough toast. Everything was delicious! My toast was a bit burned but no worries. I asked for jelly and butter and that made it better! I love the ambiance of this restaurant and the service. I only wish it was closer. My friends loved their food as well. Great job BC!“

“If I could give 0 starts I would.My father ordered some lobster bisque from here and after eating a bowl himself I was going to enjoy some. I found a huge fly in it and called the restaurant to let them know. I was put on the phone with what I assume was the shift manager who I politely greeted. After being told I could not get a refund because it wasn't their policy and my only option was to get another order of bisque I was then told that I needed to put my father on the phone. When I asked for what reason I was told because I needed to put an adult on the phone. I informed the manager that I am a 27 year old adult and was then told I didn't sound like an adult so I needed to go ahead and put my father on the phone. I will not be giving this restaurant my service ever again.***UPDATE AFTER 1 STAR REVIEW***The owner reached out directly to address the issue and apologize for the service. One dish was a little bland and not up to what we normally see, but Chelsea made sure we left happy and full! Make sure you use their hand scrub in the bathrooms, its amazing and they sell it!!“

“This is the second busy Friday in the last 2 months we've eating at this YNot and both times not only was the food and service exceptional both times this time the owner Tony was there greeting customers, cleaning tables and even boxed our leftovers. It just goes to show he keeps his fingers on the pulse of the business which is probably why the brand has such a great reputation!
