“An excellent diner in throwback fashion with Southern hospitality and tremendous food. Jackie our waitress was warm, charming and attentive. Great food, great ambience and friendly service. From a NJ native where diners abound, this one is a gem.“

“Carly is the most charismatic barista I have ever met! Everytime I order from her she always not only makes me the best drinks but also asks me about my day and has a very genuine conversation with me. 10/10 would recommend this coffee shop!“

“After drooling over their social media, my husband and I decided it was high time to pay The Meadows Original Frozen Custard a visit! This charming frozen custard shop is located just off Colonial Williamsburg, and they boast an ever changing menu of specialty flavors. What I’ve learned from Facebook is that The Meadows truly does take time and care to create the most exciting and unusual flavors, fresh daily, and today’s specialty flavors were lemon lavender shortbread and chocolate peanut butter cup.Of course, we are creatures of habit, seeking out the best Oreo frozen treats one could possibly find, so we both ordered the Oreo Arctic Swirl, in vanilla custard - we were given the option to try chocolate custard as well.An Arctic Swirl is a blend of sizable Oreo chunks; in fact, I believe I saw half-pieces of cookies tucked away in the folds of the luxurious frozen custard. I’ve never had such rich frozen custard, and my husband explained to me that custard contains egg yolks, which ice cream does not.Given the friendly and helpful customer service we received on our first visit, we’ll likely be returning soon! I’m keeping an eye on those flavor specials, as I am a die-hard chocolate mint fan myself!Parking: If you can't find a spot directly behind the shop, there is plenty of parking in the adjacent lot.“

“This is a busy spot. We had great food and fabulous service. Wish we had gotten the young lady's name because she was truly awesome. We had to add a guest at the last minute and the host was not as accommodating as I might have hoped. The restaurant wasn't too busy at an early lunchtime so not sure why he had to make an ugly face. The gazpacho and shrimp salad made up for the strange welcome and the freshly baked berry cobbler was an extraordinary way to finish.“

“Soft serve is my favorite ice cream and this place has the best! Twist is also my favorite and not a lot of places carry chocolate soft serve! Love that they have both chocolate and vanilla ? My kiddos love their shaved ice! Only thing I wish they had was waffle cones! Get waffle cones and you'll see me more often ?Parking: Parking is small, but if the company is closed next to them you can usually find a spot right next door! But when busy, there's only about 6 parking spots.Kid-friendliness: They have a few outside tables and space for kids to run around a little while your enjoying your ice cream!Wheelchair accessibility: It's all ground level, so if you need to use a wheelchair, you are definitely able to!“

“Like me you are looking around for some real pizza after a wonderful day in Williamsburg. Your search has ended, just come here. Perfect cheese to sauce to dough ratio. Nice thin slice. Best pizza I've had in a while. I can't speak much about the other shops in town but at Olde Town Pizza you won't be disappointed. Enjoy! Also Balsamic Vinaigrette is special on the salad.“

“Was trying to do the survey on line, but it kept telling me it was down, so I'm just going to write a review. Went to Mellow Mushroom for the first time on April 12th and our server was Autumn. She was the best! She had the best personality, very knowledgeable with the menu and very attentive. We loved it so much we returned on April 14th and was very happy to have Autumn again. Thank you Autumn for making my first time a very positive experience. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely go back and hope to have Autumn again.“

“Pizza was pretty good. They have several higher end ingredients for anyone who doesn't want a plain pizza. The person working acted like we were bothering him to be there. ?♀️ Didn't rate the atmosphere, this is definitely a to-go spot.“

“Dropped by for lunch because a band I always enjoy was performing 12-2.Parking: Didn't count. I arrived early and had no trouble, but by almost 2, the lot was full. A sign explains how to find parking next door with a bit of a walk.Kid-friendliness: I was on their large covered deck. Several kids were there, and it was easy for them to get to the adjoining yard to play.Wheelchair accessibility: Straight shot, no steps, from their parking lot. I made it in with my cane with no trouble.“

“I'm late on this review. We went around Christmas time. On the way to Busch Gardens for the Christmas lights. Which I will also review. I have to say that this was the most delicious pizza I have ever eaten in my life. My bf happens to know the owner and has worked on his hvac and refrigeration years ago when they were smaller. There were 4 of us in our group. We shared a large pepperoni pizza. Despite the line out the door that night we got our pizza and we were eating within 30 minutes. Want to warn you if you see a table open have a member of the party grab it lol unless you plan to eat outside on the curb or car. Lol. The bathrooms were surprising clean and well stocked despite the amount of traffic coming thru. I have told everyone I know going in that direction that you absolutely will not be disappointed.“
“Worth the visit, was happy I stopped in. Was greeted by a very friendly couple who are the owners and the cutest little min pin pup. They have a very good selection of meades to taste. My absolute favorite was the jalapeño flavored one the "el fuego del dragon" and the "chocolate noir" came 2nd. I took a bottle each home. Prices are very reasonable. I was sad to hear they aren't being sold in stores yet so it gives me a definite reason to stop in again for another tasting. Thanks for the welcoming experience!“

“I ordered some mini doughnuts for my daughter's 1st birthday party and my experience with Sipping Flea was amazing from start to finish! The staff is super friendly, they were able to decorate them to match the theme of her party, and their store is so welcoming! We'll definitely be back.“
“Copper Fox is a great craft distillery with amazing spirits and a really informative tour. Our guide Gabriel was extremely knowledgeable and one of the staff members involved in a wide swath of the process of creating these spirits, so he gave a very engaging and energetic tour. It's amazing what Copper Fox produces for their relatively small scale. Highly recommend the tour and tasting room, and consider bringing some home as well!“
“I have beed going to VBC for a while and I love the beer, always have a few interesting special beers on tap. I do have my favorite that is always there. Not only is the beer great the staff is just as amazing, they take the time to get to know us locals and what we like to drink. Nothing better than getting a nice warm welcome and a great cold beer.“
“We visit Williamsburg from DC 4 to 5 times a year and always make this a stop. Fantastic beer, great atmosphere, lovely staff, games for kids. Food wise they have a great rotation of food trucks otherwise it's just snacks. It's a must go.“
“Stopped in after a tour of Jamestown Colony and it was just great. The food truck had an excellent selection and was super tasty. The beers everyone had were excellent. Some delicious IPAs, and a real good stout as well. Also being on the water just makes this place a perfect stop for a nice lunch and couple beers following a tour.“

“The waiter was informative, and intelligent. The food was fresh , hot, and fantastic . The peach cobbler had so many different and subtle flavors as well as a very light and slightly crunchy texture. I'll go back just for the dessert!“

“I love this place. I do. But my god, they cycle through slack-jawed teenage dimwits faster than any fast food place I've ever seen. It's fortunate that much of the job is scooping ice cream, because if they had to make decisions about how much heat and how long to apply it, they'd burn the place down in the opening 20 minutes.e.g. You don't get a lid on your ice cream at the drive-thru unless you ask for it. Like think about that. You're in your car, visibly alone, and they want to hand you a giant heaping bowl of ice cream already dripping down the sides, with no lid. Now imagine you ordered something for your people at home, for whom they will hand you 2, 3, 10, however many you want, all uncovered, like instead of your grandpa's outmoded car with cup holders you're riding around in some kind of elite clown car stocked with a dozen ice cream crevices and your own hose to rinse away the gooey mess.Try ordering a sundae without a 20 questions about how you want it done. I dunno, how about the way it's described on the freaking sign? Like when I go to McDonalds and order a burger, they don't ask "do you want ketchup? mustard? pickle? cheese? rare, well done or regular?" Sphinxes don't ask as many questions as these folks. I was interrogated less when I applied for a passport. The end result, once you coach them to it, is generally very satisfying. I only wonder if they could do something to train and retain staff (and/or reexamine some extremely basic customer service practices) to make the daunting task of transferring your ice cream from a bucket into a [lidded] bowl less excruciating.“

“Even though it was a rainy Sunday, our party of four really enjoyed our brunch. With a view of the vineyard, we lazily dined on the turkey & brie, BLT, shrimp & grits and eggs benedict with Virginia ham which were all outstanding. We also enjoyed the extended wine tour after the brunch, well worth the time and expense.“

“Listened to Emma about the fish n chips as she sat us down. I was there with my friend and we were here for some grub. Victoria (the waitress) (Congrats to her as she graduates from college!) was very knowledgeable about the menu as we'd gotten the seafood nachos. I'd had the fish n chips which was a really good flounder. The chips were good too. My friend got the seafood pot pie that looked really good. All was good....except the water. I like to drink water with a lemon and the lemon had died and sank to the bottom of my glass. Other than that, the place was great. Also, great to know that kettlecorn place was still in the area and got some of that! Yes! You can't come to Williamsburg and not get the kettlecorn.“

“I got the Caribbean chicken and shrimp, and it was delicious. It was served in a pineapple shell. The saffron rice was layered at the bottom and absorbed all of the flavors from the shrimp chicken peppers and onions. The dish had a good chicken to shrimp ratio, and both were well seasoned. The bread was ok, like my rolls not so heavy. The servers were attentive and kept my water glass filled.“

“Whimsical, charming, offbeat — as if Alice, the White Rabbit, and the Cheshire Cat got together to start up a cafe. Large selection of freshly-baked croissants, quiches, and other pastries complement a broad selection of coffee and bar beverages. Owners and staff are extremely friendly, making everyone feel like a regular. Comfy seating all around; each corner from the sunlit upstairs to the humorous restroom has plenty of character. Come for a relaxing visit.“

“Every Wednesday night I go to Highway Pizza for their trivia night..... an absolute blast!!!! The food, the service , and the entertainment are great!!! They have recently added some tasty treats to their menu. Thank you to the wonderful staff that make it worth the weekly return. If you haven't checked out Highway Pizza you are missing a fun, affordable, place in your town Williamsburg.“
“Great venue and great beers! Plenty of room for kids to run around while parents chill out. The owner Conor did a great job accommodating a very large group in a short period of time. The event went down without a hiccup and we all are immensely grateful. Most small brewery's have ok beer but I'm a bit of a snob and enjoyed every beer I had there. Enough choices for everyone. Highly recommend thus brewery! Thanks Conor!“
“The sandwich spread is delicious. The sourdough bread has that perfect sourness. Every little product is a cut above in quality. The sandwiches look deceptively simple on the board, but prove that when you use the highest quality ingredients, you don't need to overcomplicate things.“

“Great dinner at Blue Talon. Our meal was delicious - a number of starters which was perfect after our long day. Service was fine. They did everything right. Just not the hospitality that makes you feel like a welcomed guest. Definitely order the clam chowder, truffle fries, beef tartare, and cake dessert. Skip the oysters, they didn't have much flavor, though the relish/salad they were served with were quite good. Had a nice cocktail and a lovely bubbly rose.“

“I've been twice in the last 6-8 months and every time I've been the sandwiches have been excellent, service is very good if not too busy (which they seem to be with many regulars), and they are willing to accommodate special requests (i.e., types of bread, hot/cold option for sandwich, condiments). Since I'm a beer drinker at lunch, I tend to like more options than they but this is not a brewery so....“

“We make this place a standard stop when visiting Williamsburg. Lots of college students, tourists and Williamsburg residents frequent here. The coffee options and food selections are extensive and the quality is always top notch. Open for breakfast and lunch daily. Dinner is usually available as well but can be seasonal so make sure you check. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Enjoy all the aromas you can take in!“

“Saved by an Angel This started out to be a lost cause. After driving and walking around for 35-45 minutes (mostly due to Yelp directions) we were not in a great mood when we found the tavern door. We had just rolled into town and weren't in the mood for a dog chase. Once inside we immediately thought this was not the dining establishment we had thought. Scrambled around for a drink or dinner menu for longer than seemed appropriate, but we were finally welcomed and presented with the evening's offerings. Though tempted to walk out unserved, Angel made her way over to our table, and we got a pretty dandy lager. Soon after that we had our grilled chicken masala, which was very tasty. So our long episode ended up being a rewarding treat.“
“Absolutely lovely venue, stately and classy. The food was all excellent, service was very personal. Waiter addressed us by name. Only criticism was the amount of spirits in the martinis were so small that we needed to order a double which ended up costing about $40 per martini. Also, when you make a reservation, there is no information that the menu for outdoors is more pub like and different from the menu inside. Namely, you can't have regular meal outdoors, which was disappointing.“

“Corner pocket is the coolest place in Williamsburg, they have a great atmosphere good food and plenty of pool tables, and dart boards. It is the only place in the burg with these fun attractions. Make sure you ask for Tevin he is the most personal-able bartender there.“
“Visited on a Wednesday around 12:30 to take a break from walking around Colonial area.. wasn’t super busy, had a quick beer. We returned later in the day around 7 and it was packed! We had dinner from Old Dominion Burgers and the food was fantastic! Regardless, both visits we received fast and friendly service. The beers were great and the brewery atmosphere was very energetic! Will definitely return when in the area!“

“Lovely day to sit on Duke of Gloucester in Merchant Square. We had delightful service from Carter. So happy to see the Ploughman's Lunch Board back on the menu. It paired nicely with a glass of Segura Cava. We also had the Fried Cod sandwich which was equally delicious.“

“Our server, Jace, was friendly, knowledgeable, efficient and enthusiastic about the food. The burgers were DELICIOUS! Best I've had since moving to Williamsburg. We got the cheese bread appetizer as well (I don't recall the name) and it was good. Loved the texture. I wish there was more flavor in the cheese or seasonings, but the Marinara sauce was flavorful.“

“Illy's Coffee offers excellent food and coffee that are sure to satisfy. However, the service can be slow, especially during busy times when there aren't enough staff to handle the orders. Despite this, the quality of the food and coffee makes it worth the wait. I recommend Illy's for a delicious treat, just be prepared for a potential wait during peak hours.“

“Absolutely delicious food, especially the tacos. The oysters were not the best I’ve had only because I’m a professional oyster diver and connoisseur. Heard they have great cocktails but I got a lager which was great. Thanks to the owner, mike wazowski for the wonderful experience.“
