“Excellent food and service as always. We have never had a bad meal here, so thought it time to share. The raw oysters and the fried oyster toast were amazing. The Bibb lettuce with pickled asparagus, strawberries and goat cheese salad is 10/10. Their house burger didn't disappoint either. All the cocktails were excellent. Our server Bryan was friendly and did a great job as well, had perfect timing.“

“Salad, Oysters, corn pudding bread, steak, crab cakes, seafood pye- vegetables, bourbon cocktail, beer, coffee, apple pie, chocolate ice cream. The food and drink are so close to being off the charts amazing. The important items- oysters, entrees and vegetables were perfect! Crab cakes could have used a touch more spice for our tastes but are delicious as they are. The cocktail was barely average. The apple pie was more of an apple berry thingie with a very thick crust, some of us liked it and some didn't. The ice cream was very good. The ambiance was great. The live music was fantastic and provided by an excellent musician. ???? The service was okay-ish.“

“Book with anticipation, I booked with almost 3 months and I was close not to get a reservation. I had a great time. I went for my anniversary and they gifted me a nice card and the musician played us a song that George Washington played for his wife. The food was really good. The menu will give you references from the actual recipes. My husband had Tomas Jefferson champagne and it was really good. We had for dessert Egg Clouds and it was delicious! I highly recommended. The service was excellent and you'll go back in time with the restaurant vibes.“

“We found this place while on vacation.. We were looking for some Virginia style cuisine and found a treasure.. Our waitress’s were amazing and kind. I accidentally spilled my lemonade on the table and they promptly moved us and wouldn’t let me help clean up my mess.. Food was wonderful and atmosphere was good but our waitress’s were amazing..“

“Our recent dining experience at Munchies left us thoroughly impressed. The food, bursting with soulful flavor, tantalized our taste buds and left us craving for more. Thanks to the chef, who shared that he learned his culinary skills from his grandmother. Each dish was served piping hot, adding to the sensory delight of the meal. One standout aspect of our dinning experience was the impeccable service. Despite being a party of six, our food arrived together, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the meal simultaneously. This attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction did not go unnoticed, and it significantly enhanced our overall enjoyment of the evening. I highly recommend the smothered pork chops, fried chicken wings, collards, green beans, cabbage, potato salad, and mac and cheese. You won’t be disappointed.“

“A gem in Williamsburg! Great breakfast spot with a nice variety, ample parking, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Lots of regulars and they are welcomed warmly. We had the garden omelet, breakfast burrito, oatmeal and corned beef hash. All were piping hot and delicious. The oatmeal came with ample " fixings" which was great. The booths and tables are very diner-like but perfect. We want to return to try other options.“

“Was truly impressed with the ambiance of the restaurant-the furniture had a nice southern feel and the music was wonderful -not quite jazz but almost? We shared a few dishes- biscuits with butter and jam -large and flaky, a southern crab chowder that was nice with a decent amount of crab, and shrimp and grits. They even split our meal into two plates (so you realize these plates are one portion split.) the shrimp were cooked perfectly and the whole dish seasoned well. I had a blood orange margarita which was enjoyed and my daughter had a Warm Flannel with bourbon and apple cider mix.“

“The atmosphere is nice. We were seated promptly. The food selection for the buffet was okay. Not bad, but not memorable. The server seemed occupied with other matters. Nice person but we were not a priority. A gripe I have with prepaid service and tipping. No incentive to do a good job, because they already got paid.“

“Food was delicious, the revised recipe for biscuits is fantastic, our server was a missing a bit, we needed some more water, gravy and never got our Honey Drizzle for the chicken. The area we were seated was a bit chilly and somewhat dark. Still love the old country dishes and feel“
