“I had a great burger and experience at Q-burger. The owner was very kind and helpful and my server was sweet and very kind. The burger was amazing balls! There were so many good looking burgers to choose from so I’ll have to go back again!”

“We made a big order and everything was super good we got: iced Carmel macchiato, passion fruit refresher, iced matcha latte, chai latte. All the pastry we got were good. And the breakfast food was very good, although a little small for size. They also served us very quickly.”

“4 of us went there last week (2 from Comox and 2 from Nanaimo) and the food was incredible. Everyone really enjoyed their meal. We just wish we weren’t so rushed, it really took away from our night out. We were told we only had 1.5 hrs which was no problem. She reminded us continuously throughout the meal and after an hr asked us if we were ready for our bill. We told her we were thinking about having a dessert (which was pre-made) and she sighed and looked at her watch! She brought the dessert and we scarfed it so fast and just got out of there. We tipped well because who knows if the pressure was coming from the kitchen, but we left with 20 mins to spare and a whole lot of empty tables there. Recommend if you aren’t meeting others and are in a hurry.”

“Food here is fantastic good serving sizes price is comparable to any other restaurants and the atmosphere is quaint they definitely do a good job of making you feel welcome my only complaint was the cashier was young and little slow my bill came to 57 and change which I gave her 60 and she never offered me my change but being such a small amount I felt it was not necessary to complain and I would for sure go back”

“We were looking for a place to hold a small gathering with family and friends to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We LOVE Thalassa. So we asked Ooara if they would accommodate us!! And they did NOT disappoint us!! When we arrived, the room was all set up perfectly! We added a few personal touches and voila...perfection! We had appies to start, followed by a fluffy salad, and a wonderful ham and scalloped potatoes with fresh veggies ...all of which were wonderfully prepared and served to us! The portions were very generous! Throughout the evening they served wine, drinks, tea and coffee. And to top it all off, they served us a yummy “ anniversary” cake, fresh from the Bakery in Ladysmith!! I almost forgot to mention the exceptional view we enjoyed from our party...the ocean and golf course..what more could we ask for!! The chef and staff were so amazing and outdid themselves in delivering exactly what we wanted!! All in all, it was a perfect place to have our gathering. We all totally enjoyed ourselves. “The new owners have kept all the old favourites that the customers like, as well as adding new items such as chocolate covered carrot cake bites that were a big hit at Christmas, and delicious fruit pies and cakes that are as light as a feather with European style icing that melts in your mouth. Also, every week new Indian items are added, such as special soups with a splash of Curry that are exposing us to exciting new flavours. Extra tables have been added inside and out, because more and more customers want to sit, enjoying a coffee and a pastry, or a delicious egg bite or a bowl of soup of the day. But it’s the friendly atmosphere, the great customer service and the happy, positive vibes that make this spot a magnet for customers, old and new.
