“We were a large group of about 14, celebrating a birthday. Owner Mimo came to say hello and made sure we were satisfied with everything and asked if we needed anything. The entertainment was excellent with a belly dancer performing around the restaurant and gave almost every table a chance to enjoy the entertainment. Our server was Fatima and she did a great job with such a large table. I had a wonderful time and the food is delicious. You have to try out this place, you will have a wonderful time.“

“I came here for lunch as a tourist visiting from the Mid-West of the USA and was so delighted. I had a vegan falafel wrap with tzatziki sauce, veggies, and hummus and it was the best falafel wrap I’ve ever had. The restaurant is so inviting and the staff are so kind. Highly recommend!!“

I use to go there 2 to 3 times a week before Turkish guys bought, but laity i had a super level of 6.9% percent and I had to quit eating sweets which I use to eat a kilo of Bawlawa aday. “The prices are reasonable and the food is unique and quite good. The chicken shawarma meat was not the most delicious I have tasted, but the basra/kabsa rice and the house Homa soup was absolutely delicious. My barber is near here and I have walked by it a lot. Finally ordered through Uber Eats. It was nice. Generous portions. I would recommend the non-saffron rice option. I believe it was called basra or kabsa rice. The falafel was also very good. The soup was like a meat broth with some noodles and herbs. Really hearty and delicious. Really hit the spot.Vegetarian options: Falafel, salad, rice, hummus“

We had burrata overload but who doesn't love some good burrata?!?Our personal favourite between the four pastas we ordered was the SPAGHETTI AMALFI ! We really enjoyed the squid ink pasta, the burrata just added extra OOMPH!We were really excited for the PAPPARDELLE “ROCHE ROCHE” but the spaghetti Amalfi really stole the show. I personally thought the pappardelle tasted OK maybe would be a bit better with a spicy sausage/sauce?All the pastas were cooked al dente, which was very nice.We thought the SPAGHETTI CARBONARA was alright and the BEEF RAVIOLI was underwhelming.Which was a bit surprising considering those were the two suggestioned from our server.However the bottle of red wine she suggested was lovely.Personally did not like the tiramisu but I think it's just personal preference on texture!Overall, the experience was good. “On Monday June 27th we stopped by about 1:00 pm to place an order for 12 people, for a 5:15 pm pickup. Amar was very helpful with menu suggestions and helping us decide how much of the different items would be needed. The order was ready to go at 5:15 as agreed. The food was beautifully prepared, fresh, flavourful and perfectly seasoned. Lamb and chicken were very moist. Prawns were perfectly cooked! “One of my family's go-to dinner spots in the neighbourhood. Beautiful and spacious atmosphere, and the food is delicious. I'd recommend the chicken shish tawook or lamb kebab and the Najib's special which is fried cauliflower. The only thing is the portions are a little small. But honestly I think that makes it easier for family-style ordering (which is what you should do here so you can try all the delicious food.) Overall, Nuba never disappoints :)“

“Came from out of town, was looking for Mediterranean style food and I saw this place on google maps. If you want to eat something different you should buy the Shakshuka plate. Also the Falafel is amazing.The place is a bit hidden inside a building, but it is still in the ground floor as soon as you enter in the corner of Oak and 41st av.Coffee is really good, they use amazing beans from Milano coffee roasters.“

It's actually a bit far from me but my friend and I still visit from time to time to have their food.If you can handle the heat, the Chili Chicken is a must-have. If you don't want anything as spicy, their shawarma, bamboo chicken and lentils are still pretty good.“

“Cavo is our favourite restaurant/bar in the downtown entertainment district, it always surpasses our expectations. It's like being in Greece, having traditional dishes like slow roasted lamb shoulder, Mediterranean stuffed chicken, all the favourite dips with pita, calamari, spanakopita and pastitsio. They also serve excellent pizza. We started with the dip trio that came with lots of pita, and the saganaki that was flamed at our table, and for main course the Mediterranean stuffed chicken and the special which was fresh arctic char fish. Barra 41 is the bar attached to Minerva's Greek restaurant (which has been around forever) and serves the same great quality food from it's kitchen. All the food & beer on tap is good, and you can also order from the restaurant menu. The atmosphere & service of this bar takes Barra the next levrl. Highly recommended and worth the trip to karisdale. Happy hour specials are offered daily from 3 - 5 PM.“
