“Staff were all very hospitable and provided friendly service with a warm smile. We thoroughly enjoyed the food the as well. The squid in the buryani rice stood out for me as it was really tender and delicious. We will definitely dine at fishhook again during our next visit to Victoria.“

“Yummy salads. Wonderful variety of drink options both coffees and teas as well as beer and wine. The food menu is not huge but all the salads and sandwiches I have had have been tasty. It is a small cafe, so space can be at a premium. They have 2 lovely patios.“

“Service was a tad slow at the start waited quite a while for drinks, but really friendly waiter and waitress.I had the duck confit for the main course. The duck feels dried out, which is really weird for confit. The crepe and mushrooms were fantastic.“

“By far and away the best restaurant in Victoria, everything from the service to the food was above anywhere we have been on the Island. We found the food surpassed our experiences in Paris.Dietary restrictions: All food is made from scratch so dietary restrictions are functionally a non-concern.“

“I was invited to a continuing education event and was grateful to be given the opportunity to sample a 3 course meal. Our group had a beautiful brightly lit private dining room in the back. The ceiling heaters kept me warm and toasty from the cold drizzly weather. Salad had a good mix of greens and shredded carrot. The dressing was slightly tangy and very delicious Main course was a chicken dish, which was quite alright. I especially liked the potatoes that complemented the chicken with its perfectly tender texture. Chocolate mousse was for dessert. The coconut whipped cream was a welcome addition to the mousse and paired well. The portion of the mousse could be smaller, though, as I and many others did not finish it. The service and ambience definitely deserve a 5 stars! The menu is extensive and I hope to come back to try something else.“

“My friend and I came for dinner on Tuesday evening and absolutely loved it. The food was tasty and the vibes were great. Service was on the slow side, but our server was very friendly and knowledgeable (we had lots of questions) so we didn’t mind. Definitely will be coming back!“
