“The food is creative and delicious! Dad and mom work the front of the restaurant and they are absolute gems: attentive, friendly and they make the dining experience special and fun. The food options were tantalizing and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! The experience would be even better if the interior looked more like earlier photos (less cluttered and more stylish).Vegetarian options: There are some options available.Parking: No dedicated parking, street parking only.”

“The food is very flavorful. Every night they serve a different set menu, in two sizes depending on your appetite. The meals are always well composed. We are not full time vegans but really enjoy seeing how flavorful the cuisine can be!”

“First time here amazing food and service. We had no idea what the flavors were going to be like. But I'll tell you. Delicious and so flavorful. If you have not gone here try it and the best part is it is open Saturday for noon to 10pm”

“I deeply appreciate the owners dedication to creating a wonderful experience for their customers. Last time we went to Everest Kitchen, we had a hiccup with our Togo order. After learning about this, the owners and staff were quick to resolve the issue! We're glad we got to give them another go because it was well worth it! My husband and I had the veggie korma, lamb curry, garlic naan, mango lassi, and samosas. The entrees were flavorful, and paired nicely with the garlic naan (of course!). The samosas are MUST try. Wow. They were phenomenal!! I love samosas already, but I find that some places tend to over bread them. These were perfect. These had a nice outer shell that wasn't too thick, so you really get to enjoy the flavors. I could have eaten the whole order to myself, they were that good! The sauces that accompany the samosas are also very tasty. 10/10. Lastly, the Mango Lassi was a great treat. It was the right level of sweetness for my husband and I. Overall, after our experience and interactions with the staff/owners, we will definitely be back and thinks it's worth giving a try for those looking for quality food/service.”

“If you are going to LabCorp on Solano and you have to fast, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping into this place to get a breakfast sammy after your blood draw is over. Friendly service, no wait, and a tasty egg sandwich at a reasonable price. I've been shopping and dining on Solano since I was a teenager and I had never clocked this place, but I am so glad I did. Just me, a quiet magazine, breakfast, and glad to be done with my blood draw. The perfect combo. Thanks for the great sandwich!”

“I order the pumpkin curry. It was delicious. I also ordered the Tom Ka chicken soup. It was too tart, the chicken over cooked. A disappointment for a soup I usually love”
“Not sure how I always past this place on Solano Ave but glad we finally got to check inside. I loved the varieties of cider they have on tap and lots to choose from in their refrigerated section as well. They have such cute place with plants decorated everywhere that you can even purchase! The service as super friendly and love how they are also dog friendly. They also do have special nights like game nights and would love to check that out! Will for sure be back again”

“This place is good. The last time I went it was for the tacos in 2013. I'm back in the area and I had a really sad experience at Chipotle the past week so I tried the carne asada burrito. I'm glad I returned; this place was quick to serve up on a lunch break and the burrito held up while I was enjoying it. It was fresh-tasting, well-proportioned, and, at a great price!”

“I really like the sushi rolls and the calm atmosphere at Sumo. Hot tea and miso soup to start on a rainy evening. It was my first time having the GoGo roll, with shrimp, avocado, cucumber and DF asparagus... give it a try! The baked scallop roll is a warm savory treat as well.”

“The iced mocha here is sorcery. Tastes like straight smooth and rich chocolate milk, but it kept me wired for several hours lol. Respectably really strong. Overall wished that there was a distinct coffee to the mocha but I'm still a fan. Don't underestimate this coffee shop trailer! Chill and friendly staff. A few small tables right in front of the trailer but can enjoy your drink while perusing Flowerland Nursery here.”

“Hal’s is IMO the best cafe in Albany - all the baristas not only serve beautiful, delicious oat cappuccinos but they also create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes u want to stick around. If you’re lucky they’ll be brewing a fresh batch of chai and your nose will wonder if you’ve died and gone to heaven.”

“Wow now I know why I see so many people sitting outside this place every time I drive by. The yogurt is absolutely amazing. We had tropical yogurt it was passionfruit and guava, and my daughter absolutely loved being able to put all the toppings on her frozen yogurt. It was such a great treat, and it made for a great place to take my daughter on our special date.”

“Al's Big Burger has been around since I've been a kid, so it's survived many years! Consistency is their key to success, even with probably several ownership changes through the decades. We've called it "Big Al's" since forever until I actually yelped it writing this review! Al's main event is a huge 1/3 pound hamburger. With several types of cheese to select (pepper jack is my fav), tomatoes and lettuce, it's not cheap anymore. But what is? The burger is still flame grilled, juicy and tasty. So nostalgic! Milkshakes are very thick. I like the coffee flavor. French fries are yummy thick crinkle cut and one order easily serves 2 people. Service is always friendly, both at the order booth and after. Al's is my 92-year old dad's favorite burger place. He used to go to when he taught at Albany High decades ago. The 1970 casual burger joint ambiance is still the same. The old timey tables are probably the same ones, but I don't recall 1/3 lb burgers back then. I guess they've grown bigger too.”

“Excellent food. The lamb shashlik was delicious. Also the large, varied platter of appetizers. We were there on a Sunday at noon and there were not many others at that time, so there was hardly any noise which was good for me. I will definitely return to try other dishes, or maybe have the lamb again . . . . Highly recommend.”

“Yelp said this place is closed, but it's not. We've been here twice after just recently discovering it was open. The second time, we didn't realize they were closed when we pulled up, but that didn't matter, the super nice gentleman took our order anyway. Customer service was excellent and I'd be happy to frequent this establishment to support this small business because of it. The added bonus is the coffee is also really good. I tend to have a complicated order, and it was met with no issues. My daughter ordered the Havana Cap with oat milk and she said it was also very good and couldn't wait to come back. We'll definitely be back for the great coffee and customer service.”

“Had a simple sausage cheese pizza and it was good. Also had chicken wings, garlic fries, and the rigatoni. The rigatoni was a bit on the dry side but still tasty. The wings and the fries were a hit! Ordered for a particular pick up time; it was ready exactly at that time. I was happy with that. Pick up was quick and painless. Will definitely order from here again.”

“I stumbled upon this place after attending an event at a pizza place across the street. Wow, I am so glad I did! This is a clean and cute little place that sells drinks, Boba, banh mi, sandwiches and snacks. I had a mocha Frappuccino and I will have to say it is the best one I have ever had! It was thick and creamy and tasted like it was made from real ingredients rather than just powder. I will come back and get another one whenever I am in the area !”

“I have seen the truck before, but finally got to try Brown Cap because they had kindly stepped up to serve ice cream at a fundraiser event for Street Spirit newspaper. I opted for the brown cap in a cone, twist (vanilla and chocolate swirl) for the flavor, and sea salt. I had the misfortune of accidentally swallowing a huge hunk of salt in my first bite, which actually stung in my throat. But later when I recovered a bit and was able to eat the rest, the chocolate shell was great, and the ice cream itself was sweet and creamy. I did find the salt quantity a bit too high for my preference. But I tried some of my partner's ice cream too, they had ordered the twist in a waffle cone with salted caramel drizzle. I'd say that is a great topping if you have a sweet tooth as it's only lightly salted. Just watch out for melting ice cream dripping down the sides!”

“First time here, celebrating my sister's birthday and it was like we were kicking it at a friend's house! I was able to make a reservation one day in advance for 7 people during peak dinner hours, and even called the same day to change our time with no issues whatsoever. They accommodated us right away and sat us even without my whole party present. Someone had called out, but we never even felt like service was slow or anything. This is a family owned and operated business, and we really felt like we were a part of that. Granted, we had quite a few shots, so alcohol tends to loosen up people but even without that, the whole staff were cool as heck. The food was delicious. Calamari (forgot to take a pic) was light and crunchy, served with cocktail and tartar sauces. The garlic noodles were super flavorful and stayed buttery. Some places tend to dry out and clump up, but not these! The seafood boils also had tons of flavor and spice. Medium was about as much as I could handle. Lol I think my absolute favorite dish was the Player's Plate. It comes with garlic noodles, 5 Tony's wings, 5 prawns and a huge catfish filet. Best bang for your buck, in my opinion. I would get that next time we go. And a special surprise was Tony's Style (Berkeley) was in the building. They were temporarily operating out of the space, so we had to get the shrimp and crab baguette. All that cheesy seafood goodness went perfect with our shots. Lolol Needless to say, we took home lots of leftovers. We had a blast, and I hope yall have a great experience too.”

“This is a pretty good Starbucks to go to because of the parking lot outside. Drinks are good and service is quick. There is free parking and it's right across from Sprouts. They also just changed their seating to have more tables which is good for studying. The only time this place is wack is when the local crackheads come in and do weird stuff, otherwise it's pretty chill.”
