I ordered the lamb biryani, and it was so delicious and enough to share between two, maybe three people. It's somewhat spicy and full of lamb chunks. Yes, it's that good. Please order with your phone, not in person. It makes things operate more smoothly for everyone and decreases the wait time for the crack. I mean food. Well I don't know what they put in their chicken, but full disclosure you might start experiencing side effects if you don't get your fix. Consider yourself warned. “Mashaallah started out as a food truck but now has a stall in the food court of Westfield San Francisco. Despite its humble appearance, this small business offered some of the best Pakistani food I've had in the city from its steam table of freshly-prepared meat and vegetable curries. A star dish here (which came recommended by Soleil Ho) was the Lamb Korma, made of super tender, lean, meaty chunks of lamb in a spiced curry. On my combination plate, I also got the Chana Masala (chickpea curry) and the Palak Paneer (cheese cubes in a velvety puréed spinach sauce), served along with rice. Every item was delicately spiced and flavorful without being too salty, and the garnishes of raw onion and cilantro brought out the freshness of the dishes. On the side, I also had an order of Garlic Naan (another star item), which was perfectly soft and chewy and had a wonderful flavor and aroma from the garlic and herbs. Overall, the food here was absolutely delicious, and the owners were so friendly and hospitable too!“

“My friend recommended this place to me. The place is fairly simple and clean. You order at the counter. There are a few tables for you to dine in, but I find most people order to take out.I like the Simurgh kebab sandwich. The kebabs were delicious but what stood out for me was the Turkish bread. It's not like anything I've had before. It is grilled, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It is probably my favorite sandwich bread now. They make them all from scratch.I've only been there twice, but it's a place I would return again.“

“Honestly, I always enjoy my experience at Pakwan. My go to is their cheese naan, which in my opinion is the best naan in SF, possibly the bay. I usually accompany it with either an aloo mutter, bengan bartha, or a chicken tikka masala. Something that goes good with naan and is scoop-able. The workers are super nice and show a lot of hospitality. I really like the ambiance and how the dine in experience is as well with the music they play and how It has a family style vibe that makes it really inviting. Overall, one of 16th streets best eats. “The best wrap I’ve had in the entire East Bay. The people here are genuine with the food even more authentic. I made it a point to u-turn and stop by last night. The team behind the counter really just mean business. No frills, just order your food and take in the normal buzzy gas station energy. “Best Indian fusion place in the area! A little sketchy to go at night but just don't walk around the area too much! Pani puri: SO GOOD, I've never had pani that tasted this good that wasn't in India. It was stuffed with the potato and Chana and it was spicey and just everything I wanted. We also tried the green pizza with chicken and the sauce was actually spicy. It had great flavor and one pizza was plenty for the 4 of us with an appetizer and another dish. Chicken“

“Let's get straight to business... how was the food? 10/10. I got the Golden Burrito with steak. It was amazing! I let the staff know it was our first time trying it and they went into detail of how to enjoy it best with the different sauces they have available. It's also in a good safe part of town and provides clean indoor seating. Definitely coming here more often to try different items on the menu.“

The crunch, the spices, the bread - perfect.Potatoes and eggs needed some salt - they were okayish, the Hummus, pita and falafels (even the stuffed ones) were awesome.Background: partly grew up in the Mediterranean. “Do yourself a favor and run don't walk! The Karahi is made to perfection with slow cooked meat and pieces of ginger that give a nice textured spice to the dish. The Chicken biryani has caramelized onions folded in for pockets of sweetness. The chicken Makhni is a classic butter chicken that never misses. Their cheese Naan is gooey and delicious! “The best birria tacos in sf hands down. Birria tacos are supposed to be CRISPY and these are crispy!! if you eat the tacos there you get them nice and hot with the delicious melting cheese. i love birria, i get it at every taco place I go to, i even had it in mexico but it's really the best at La vaca birria. and plus is halal so it's not cooked in lard. when we walked in people were telling us how good the food was; I swear if you try this place you won't be disappointed. Perfect place to eat for cinco de mayo!! please try this place, it will be your new go-to, you will never be able to eat birria any where else. The staff was noticeably overwhelmed, they definitely weren't equipped for how many people walked in. but i would highly recommend!!“

“I got Karahi Gosht and it was authentic and flavorful. Serving quantity was decent as well. I live in the South Bay and most places over there don't get this dish right. 5* from me, for the Karahi Gosht and Naan. Service understandably took some time because they make it fresh and piping hot. And I went there in between performances of standup comedy at Cobb's next door.“

Opting for the mix-and-match meal, I selected spicy lemon pepper and garlic parmesan as my chosen flavors. Priced at $18, including fries and a drink, the meal was reasonably priced. However, the spicy lemon pepper flavor was somewhat over-seasoned, suggesting a need for a lighter toss to avoid overpowering the palate. The overall taste was good, albeit a bit intense. I would consider ordering this flavor again with a lighter toss in the sauce. On a positive note, the GP boneless wings were a delightful surprise. Bursting with juiciness and flavor, they proved to be a highlight of the meal. Similar to the spicy lemon pepper, I would recommend a more restrained use of the sauce for a more balanced experience. Despite this minor adjustment, I would undoubtedly order this flavor again. In summary, while there were seasoning nuances to be mindful of, the overall experience was positive, and the GP boneless wings left a lasting impression.“

“Ok so Shawarmaji has all the makings of a restaurant that’s about to get BIG.Incredible, authentic Jordanian food, cool clean and colorful aesthetic, and expanding literary as I was eating in the restaurant (new location coming pictured here across the street). Got the chicken shawarma arabi style and WOWOWOWOW, so good. The trio of hummus, toum, and garlic suace was utterly divine to go with the wrap and fries. The home made pickles on the side were also perfect freshener to cut the heaviness of the meal.Went just before lunchtime to beat the rush as it’s a popular lunch spot for people working in downtown Oakland. Only downside of the experience was that as soon as I ordered, the food was ready. Like the food had already been prepared in advanced and was not all the way hot anymore. I get that they need too stay ahead of the lunch rush, but stomach eventually got rocked. No regrets as it was a very good meal, just keep an eye out for that. I’m would have happily waited longer for HOT food.“

“If you know me, you know that I am half-Sudanese (Northern Sudan) and half-Egyptian. I moved here over a decade ago, and it was hard to find Sudanese food until I came across Z Zoul. The restaurant is a haven of warmth, cleanliness, and comfort. When I entered, I immediately felt like I was back home, thanks to the delicious aromas and the warm welcome I received from Arif. Aref served us the best homemade Sudanese food that brought back fond memories of my dad and family. The taste of the food and how it was presented just brought tears to my eyes. After the sumptuous meal, we ordered hibiscus drink (Karkade), which was the perfect finale. The food is very reasonably priced, and you get a generous portion for the price. If you've never tried Sudanese food, I highly recommend Z Zoul. My husband, who had never tasted Sudanese food before, and my son can't remember the goodness of Sudanese food. Both were thrilled with the food, and I'm sure you will be too. Aref and Dalya, I cannot thank you enough from the bottom of my heart for the hospitality and the incredible food. “Falafel and shawarma shop located in the heart of the Mission. Although seating is limited, we've always seemed to luck out on a seat. They offer free falafel as you order, which is kind of them. My go-to order is the kefta plate. The beef is super tender and their hummus is SO good“

“I stopped here out of curiosity to after getting items from Arizmendi and Los Cantaros Taqueria. I got the Honey Cake slice, chocolate baklava, and pistachio almond cookies (gluten free). Hatice the owner is very friendly and answered any questions I had. The Honey Cake was amazing, just the right amount of sweetness, not too much. I ate up the cake and baklava but shared the cookies. My family members said the cookies were great. I'll try to arrive before 12noon another time to get their breakfast items, like the egg in the hole. This will be one of my new go to places for food.“

I am from out of town, so sadly I won’t be able to come here again unless I decided to take another trip to the Bay Area.The Rogan Josh was cooked to perfection, with tender chunks of meat simmered in a rich and aromatic sauce that had just the right balance of spices. Every bite was a delight, and I found myself savoring each mouthful.The vindaloo, on the other hand, was a spicy masterpiece. The heat level was just right for me, adding a nice kick without overpowering the other flavors. “My wife and I went to Pizza Twist, Hercules with a friend who is gluten intolerant. We were delighted to have ordered two Gluten Free Pizzas (Cauliflower crust). One was Veggie Tandoori Paneer Pizza Twist and the other one was Chicken Tikka Masala. These were the most delicious pizzas we had in a long time. The new owners were very friendly. “I've had this place bookmarked for 3 months and finally got the chance to go. After reading reviews, I went early and started lining up at 11:40am and there was already ~20 parties ahead of us. Once they opened, someone came out with brisket samples. It took about an hour til we were ordering. I've never had Texas BBQ so I can't compare but the meats were so good!! The brisket was fatty, smoky, and well seasoned. The beef back ribs were a little smokier also delicious. The bbq sauce and pickled onions made for the perfect bite, along with the sides. The nasi goreng was a pretty standard fried rice that paired with the meat but I wouldn't get it again. The slaw is refreshing and was very peanutty but I wish it was a little more acidic. The rendang plate was a miss for me. The brisket was very dry and it was too smoky for my liking for a curry. I LOVED the kale curry side in the plate though. I don't like kale but I would eat it all the time if it was always cooked like this lol. I suggest getting the belado plate to try a different meat. I would definitely come back and wait an hour again and try the rest of their menu. :)“

“This is the second time ordering from A-town pizza for delivery. The first time I only ordered from there because it was one of the few pizza places open late other than dominos and Pizza Hut. “Gosh, I absolutely LOVE Sajj. It is so quick, perfect when you're in a rush, but still want something yummy and healthy. Think mediterranean-style Chipotle. I love the chicken shawafel or pomegranate chicken bowl. Every single topping on there is a perfect fit. I usually get all the spreads and can't choose a favorite. You can't go wrong with the toppings, but I usually add the sumac cauliflower, onions, cucumbers, cherry peppers, arugula, and mint leaves, finished off with either the spicy tahini or cilantro mint chutney. I know some people love the lentil soup. The baklava is so flaky and nutty. Most of the locations I've been to are clean and nicely decorated. The staff is helpful and pack on the toppings on your bowl. I absolutely LOVE Sajj, I even have a loyalty/newsletter (which I almost never do). Definitely recommend.“

While I was waiting for my order, I was offered a taste of another group's goat curry, and learned a word or two of Pashto. If you're the only one there, you'll find the atmosphere to be standard-issue convenience store, but if it's full of Pakistanis, it's like a short visit overseas.“

I got my food to-go, but they had some comfy looking chairs if you wanted to eat there. Definitely coming back here.
