“The food here is great- spinach ravioli with pink sauce, a side salad, and garlic bread hit the spot for real, served by people who really care, and enjoy the food as much as you do. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and nothing was too much. The environment is lovely and it's small, but warm, which is often times hard to do. Finding good Italian that is high quality and not too expensive is a feat, but Genoveses does the job.“

“I love the food my favorite is the linguine clams which is made with a white wine sauce but you can ask for red if you desire. Everywhere you go now a days is expensive but at least portions are large and shareable. It surprises me to read the reviews and see that people enjoyed the Tyson frozen wings they use to serve at Vittoria’s for years. I also would like to note that I love the antipasto salad and it doesn’t have only one meat as I read on one of the reviews.Also everywhere that has delivery service charges more when ordered on the app. Update: they are no longer charging for water. I can say that yes they are short staffed sometimes as well as many other restaurants have been ever since COVID. I really love the service and I will continue to be a customer for many years!! It always amazes me that people can’t see when it’s busy and aren’t understanding.“

“We ordered the hippo bread, cauliflower, ravioli with clams and the hangar steak. All so delicious! The hippo bread is soft and sweet with that butter. The cauliflower is shareable and so good! The ravioli was fine and the hangar steak was slightly sweet and tender. Our waiter, Alejandro, was so attentive and answered all of our questions. He was fabulous! The kitchen is open so you can look and see which is always fun! Love the music, too! We walked past the restaurant but then I remembered it was by the pizza place so we circled back and found it. Can't wait to return!“

“My daughter recommended this place so we gave it a try. There was only a handful of people there… it was a Tuesday. We sat in the outdoor area. We ordered two different veggie pizzas and bread sticks (kinda pricey). There wasn’t much to choose from on the menu. The food was more like an appetizer size serving but It was delicious. I have nothing negative to say about the taste of the food or the atmosphere.However, the parking was insane. We parked directly at the curb next to the entrance of the outdoor eating area. It’s metered parking. We had to add coins every 15 minutes… it only allowed 15 minutes before it capped out ?. I’ve read others say it was an hour meter, well it wasn’t the day we visited. I set a timer on my phone (a ticket would have ruined my day).It was a nice restaurant. I experienced it once but I’m sure I won’t come again.“

“I like this place because it has no frills. My friend and I ordered the cheese/onion pizza. My friend is from St Luis. She knows pizza. She said this was the best pizza she's had. I thought it was fabulous also. We shared a rib eye. She likes it medium. I like it rare. They cut it for us and cooked each separately. Calamari - delicious. We had tons of left overs too. The staff was friendly, accommodating and responsive, very yummy place to dine.“

I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. The rice was good, though I thought it was a little bland.The only thing I didn’t care for were the refried beans. They were watery and lacked flavor, but the rest of my food was great! The staff were so nice and so friendly it made up for the beans.If I were to visit again I would definitely try the cocktails, they looked delicious!It is a very small restaurant from the outside, if you’re not paying attention you could miss it. We followed all of the owner’s, Fabrizio’s (from Napoli), recommendations.Appetizer: started with the focaccia board, which included honey, caramelized pears, prosciutto, some other meat, and of course focaccia. It was the most unique appetizer I’ve had and so delicious!Main dish: we had salmone al limone, which had vegetables and mashed potatoes on the side. With the salmon cooked medium and the white wine sauce with lemon juice, it was all so delightful and quite possibly the best tasting salmon I have ever had.Pasta: we had genovese sauce (beef shoulder stewed with minced onions, basil, etc. stewed for 48 hours) with fresh pappardelle pasta. Very rich and delicious!Dessert: we finished with an affogato and was offered to try some dessert wine, Italian moscato with mint leaves on top. The espresso was so flavorful.On top of the food, service was great with Fabrizio, Claude the waiter, and a third waiter. All staff were super friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. We chose sit outside because it was actually quieter and we wanted the fresh air. They were nice enough to ask if we wanted the heater turned on. Everything was perfect - food, staff, and ambience. We have found our new favorite local Italian restaurant!“

“We were seated at the counter in front of the salad prep station. It was fun getting to watch some of our food as it was made. My friend and I both ordered wine. Unfortunately the Pinot Gris we wanted was no longer available but I thoroughly enjoyed the Grenache. We ordered the ricotta and bread appetizer, Caesar salad, pork tagliatelle and soppressata and honey pizza. Everything was plated beautifully and tasted delicious. We finished with the chocolate budino tart. It was yummy but I wish we ordered something else. It didn't feel totally unique. Service was spot on and moved quickly. Would definitely go back!“

“Was craving for a good italian sub and found this hidden gem near my work! Located across from the hospital. Parking was easy; street and parking lot behind the restaurant. Inside was filled with Italian goodies. They sold alcohol, cookies, bread, pasta, cheese, etc. Towards the back of the restaurant was tables to sit down and enjoy your sandwich. Came here for the 1st time with my coworker and we tried the Classic 6' sub with 2 sides. I got the macaroni salad and broccoli salad. The sides tasted ok to me but could be better. However, the sandwich was very tasty. I love how much meat and filling it was. I ate it all! We got a piece of tiramisu and that was very very good! The prices are affordable and the portions are huge. Definitely a place to go for lunch or anytime you are carving for a good Italian sandwich! *TIP: call to place your order if you are in a time crunch. We waited for 30 minutes for our food.“

“I am not one to provide reviews but I am a pesto lover, and it is one dish that is usually made in a variety of ways that are so-so. Well I finally found a place that makes a superbly "real" pesto!!!!! The inclusion of mint was a delicious addition. A true Italian dish does not require bread, and salads are usually eaten after the main meal. The portions were perfect and filling and the broccolini and pasta were all dented. I will try the brunch next, but I highly recommend this place. Karina and Francisco were great.“

“This restaurant is tucked away from the busy part of Little Tokyo. We walked in at 6:30pm on a Thursday and were seated immediately. We came here for the famous uni pasta and mentai japanese cream pasta. Both were creamy, rich, and filled with umami. The mentai japanese cream one was slightly more fishy than the uni one. Can we talk about the portion sizes? Each plate of pasta was huge! Great value for the price.All pastas come with complementary sad and bread. Save some of the bread to soak up all the pasta sauce!“

“second time at brera. great service, good ambiance. pork shank - still yummy! they currently serve it with polenta, which i don't like, so i asked to sub it for the roasted potatoes they have on the menu (dleiocious!!). the kale this dish came with was good too. a friend got the lamb chops - good! nothing super special, but a solid lamb chop. ny steak - we didn't like it. there was a flavor to it that we thought was a bit odd, but at the same time also tasted flavorless. we added salt/pepper but still not great for us. however, potatoes + veggies were delicious tagliatelle bolognese - yummy! not the best bolognese i've ever had but very solid. good texture to the pasta, well seasoned and flavored. their bolognese has mushroom flavors to it. idk if they actually put mushroom in it but that's the flavor i got overall, a good spot for dinner! i would recommend. they have valet as well so parking is convenient. they even added a candle to the desert as they knew it was a birthday!“

I ordered a Milanese and I thought it was really delicious with a lightly dressed arugula salad for a bit of contrast and to add a bit of freshness. This little restaurant is a must try. “Just drove in from San Antonio and stopped in for a bite to eat and we're so glad we did! The Philly cheesesteak was delicious, especially with the jalapeños to give it a little kick. The house salad was super fresh, crisp lettuce and the pepperoni pizza was amazing (crunchy crust).“
