“Came here on a Saturday Night, very fascinating experience, their Chinese Barbecue are the most authentic I ever had in SGV area. Not only the food was good, the beer was relatively cheap compared to other places. Overall I would give a five star and definitely would go there again.“

“Came here for the first time surprisingly being someone who lived in Alhambra for about 7 years and went to high school nearby here. Decor is modern with a chic feel, and though this spot doesn't serve food there was an amazing pizza truck out front which they allow you to eat inside the bar. “One of the meals I’ve had. The whipped feta was a dream with maybe my favorite pita I’ve tasted. Carrots were perfect. “Woah, such a cool place! Super awesome that it is dog friendly, has great food, alcohol, wifi, and a bunch of outlets around the area if you want to do some work. I came here with my bf and we stumbled upon this place by chance because all of the other coffee shops were packed with people and so we ended up just walking around. We just walked up to the parking area and asked the guard if there were any coffee shops nearby with wifi and outlets. It just so happened, he pointed at this bike shed behind him and said he thinks this place has all the things we were looking for. We were skeptical because there were just a bunch of motorcycles behind him so we were confused. We decided to check it out anyway and this place has easily become such a hole in the wall, great find! Service is amazing and they made us feel like it was home. Food was so good! We got the margarita pizza, the zucchini fries, and a beer. I would 10/10 order everything again plus more if we had the chance to come back. Lots of dogs coming in and out with their owners, so I was very happy about that! My pup, Benny, loves this place and I bet he would love to come back as well.“

“This place was great! I love how intimate it is, but also how closesly attached it is to the other food spots at the BLVD Market. I went for some Galentines day fun with my girlfriends and they had a DJ, a full decorated corridor, and people buzzing around. Since it was near the holiday they offered wine deals, and of course holiday drinks. They were doing special pink margaritas, topped with a heart straw, candy heart stirrer, and of course a nice spicy and sweet rim. I was going to opt to just get one drink but the bartenders didn't want me to miss out on a good deal. They mentioned 2 magaritas for $16. We love a great deal, so I couldn't hold back from this. I am not in this area too often, but I know that when I am I will be back for a much hyped Michelada.“

“I made a Resy reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Street parking was accessible and convenient a few steps away from the location. Once we walked in, I was greeted by first name by the host behind the bar who directed us to follow Lisa, our server, to our table for two in the garden patio. Once seated, she asked if we'd like to turn on the heated lamp, which we appreciated. We ordered the Hunan BBQ Pork Ribs (so meaty and smoky), Chilled Sesame Peanut Noodles (which my wife commented would be an ideal dish during a warm summer night), Lemongrass Chicken Banh Mi (served on a toasted, pillowy brioche bun), paired with a side of the Shoestring Fries. Lastly we enjoyed an unexpected gift from the kitchen - Shanghai Triple Onion Noodles, which was a warm dish in contrast to the other cold noodles. As a thoughtful gesture, the bartender, offered us two glasses of champagne to acknowledge our occasion. To cap off our unforgettable meal, we ordered the Hochija Tres Leches and Honeymoon Bread Pudding. The perfect conclusion to a delicious and well-thought out dinner. For a location with a history dating back to the prohibition era (informed by Lisa), I'm glad to see it's continuing it's life as a bar with an innovative kitchen. “This is literally the funniest and fun beer bar I’ve ever been to,but I find myself addicted to their Caesar salads they find themselves addicted to my poor sense of humor. I find myself addicted to tipping them more.They find themselves addicted to inviting me more. we formed a perfect relationship, but I will tell you the service is great they’re extremely friendly and the food quality is incredible.This isn’t dive bar food.They have a really great area for outdoor seating right on the corner and they have a number of sandwiches. “Started with smiling and welcoming staff. Our table was next to a very loud and screaming crowd and was getting so loud that we couldn’t even talk without shouting ti hear each other. The manager came over to apologise and offered us to move to another quieter table which we kindly took. They stage kept apologizing to us about the loud crowd. Kept us happy and well served all thrice our meal. Food was great! Ambience was great! We were very happy all in all! Hands down to the staff who tolerated the loud crowd who were still there when we left!!!!“

“We love Bourbon Steak. They always find a way to make every occasion that we spend there very special. Tonight was special in that it was Mama's birthday. That said, our Server, Omar was / is exceptional ... very attentive and genuine. “One of my favorite restaurants in LA. The food is consistently great, the bar program is creative, the service is friendly, and the vibe is chill and fun (especially on the patio and at the bar). Unlike almost all restaurants serving small plates they do not make you order everything at once or rush out the food, so meals here feel luxuriously relaxed.You can't really go wrong with the menu but in particular do not miss the boquerones y mantequilla, which is a brilliant dish.“

“I found this place 2 years ago completely by accident. My family and I walked in, and the rest was history. Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, and the cherry on top: the AMAZING food. We left happy with happy stomachs. I am excited to report that two years later, HATCH still exceeds my expectations. Happened to be in LA again and remembered the food. I couldn't remember the name, so I searched for it. Found the place, and it's a short walk away. Perfect. Walked in, got a table, and the service was amazing, per usual. The food was fantastic! The owner came over and checked on us, asking how everything was going. We explained how we were so happy to find HATCH again after two years and memories of the wonderful experience. The owner ended up cutting us a deal and said if we ordered one dessert, we'd get another one the house. Both of the desserts were delectable. “Did my popup there on a Saturday and it was super fun!!! The whole Verdugo team were slammed but kept it together and stayed super positive and welcoming. The clientele were very friendly and patient. Everyone was mingling and the DJ was doing pretty good. I need to go back and dance!“

“We were able to get seated right away at 7pm on a Monday night- I know it’s usually super busy here so we were lucky. The atmosphere is nice and the food was good. “We stopped by The Mermaid after dinner for a couple of drinks and had a pretty good time! It was super crowded but we were lucky to find a table to sit at. The place was pretty loud but the playlist was great and the atmosphere and crowd was friendly and a lot of fun.With a cute underwater/sea theme, their menu looks like it typically has a lot of rum based drinks but we had to get the special holiday drinks!Out of the specialty drinks we ordered the Sinterclaws, Seven Siren Swimming, Nauti or Nice, Carols of the Coral, A Merry Little "Coquito", and a Dementa Xmas "Shot." Almost all of the drinks were served in festive glassware like a snowman mug, so cute! My favorite drinks had to be Seven Sirens Swimming with the brown butter fat washed Chihuatan Indigo rum, and the "coquito" like a tiny coconutty eggnog.“

Great selection of beer, wine, kombucha, etc., solid bar food, and the staff is always helpful and willing to let you do a taste of something before ordering. Wanted to also chime in regarding H.R.'s one star review of the bar. We were outside that night as well, and her telling of events is hilariously untrue. She assaulted a patron, threatened a second patron, poured a beer on a third patron, and was finally asked to leave by staff. Her husband also threatened our table despite us not being a part of the kerfuffle she started with the people at the table next to us. It was definitely an eventful night, but the staff handled the situation well given how unruly she and her party were.“

“This place is amazing. My friend made reservations for us about a month in advance. We were seated right away. We had the options of either seafood or beef menu. We choose the beef menu. This is my first dining experience so I was looking forward to everything. This was a unique 12 course experience and the staff here did an amazing job. Every item that came out was very good. “Holy cow I can't say enough wonderful things about AltaEats. Discovered them through their pandemic-era Roasties (cooked food to take home and eat) and we're still doing it with them now. The potatoes and green beans were so good last night (heaping portions!) that there were none leftover this morning for breakfast. The flank steak was cooked to absolute perfection.
