“The menu is relatively limited. I don't eat pork so that cut out a large number of things (usually not a problem for me in Thai restaurants). Pad Thai was great but my fave was the crispy rice salad. The ladies who run the place and serve are THE BOMB. They'll do whatever they can to make you smile and I loved them!!! Definitely recommend giving it a try.“
“Our neighborhood finally has a new gem of a restaurant! Everything about this spot is wonderful. The attention to detail in the decor (cozy fireplace, exposed brick, distressed woodwork, leaf-shaped cushions, gold silverware, plants galore) is transportive. The food is ravishingly fresh and thoughtfully prepared. On two different visits, we shared Market Salads, Chia Bowls, Yogurt Bowls, and Lava Eggs. Tanzie, the owner, is delightful, and you can tell she has a hand in every dish. My 8-year-old, who is a very picky eater, loved the yogurt bowl, eggs, and especially the Thai Beignets! Finally, a brunch I can look forward to, a few steps from my house...“

“So happy we got to be one of the first customers to ever eat at this new Thai restaurant. The place inside is pretty small, but the decor is cute & simple. They make the most of the room by putting as many small tables that fit with seating mostly for tables of two or four. We were literally the second table to ever eat in this new spot. And wow, am I glad I decided to search Yelp today for lunch. The service was super sweet, friendly, and perfect. We had a hard time deciding on what to try first (because everything sounded good and the smells from the kitchen were amazing). What we ordered: - Tom Kha Soup with Chicken Excellently flavors and just enough spice for me. My spouse loves really spicy dishes and said it would be delicious with more spiciness, but thought the broth was so good that it didn’t even need to change. We actually just wish there was an option to order a larger size, it was that good! Sometimes my spouse like to just have soup as the entree. - Green Curry with Chicken (comes with rice) Wow! Super bright and fresh taste! Smells really good and tastes even better. It was very fresh and loved all the vegetables inside (eggplant soaked up all the delicious flavor just right, baby corn- yum, etc.). - Pad Cashew Nut with Pork (comes with rice) AMAZING. Mouth-wateringly delicious. I did not want the dish to end. It was the perfect amount of flavor and freshness. Loved the cashews, the carrots, the onions, the cilantro on top. Perfect combination of sweet & salty sauce with nuttiness from the cashews, enhanced by the onion, carrot, cilantro. Since it was their first day, we enjoyed free beverages. The Thai tea was so good- you can get oat milk for $1 more. The Black Mango Iced Tea was also delicious and you get refills on it. I cannot wait to go back and eat every dish. Since it was their first hour open, we were there when the Doordash photographer came to snap pictures of all the dishes. WOW! We were eyeing the Lobster Ravioli and honestly it looks too good to miss. So we’ll probably be back later this week to try it and more. Congratulations on your opening. Thank you for bringing delicious Thai food to the area. We just moved up here from San Diego, and we’ve been having a hard time finding true Thai food and flavors. Many of the Thai places we’ve eaten up up here lack flavor or are just different because they’re fused with Laotian dishes or another type of cuisine. Finely we found a great Thai places we can walk to from the University Village apartments. See you soon!“

“I ordered a chicken pad kea mao (drunken noodles) and it was really good although… they gave me pork instead of chicken. And I didn’t know about that until they came over to the table with the plate that had chicken. Thankfully I am able to eat pork but… be careful if you are not— ask twice to make sure you get the right dish. Otherwise, they were very accommodating to our very large group.“
“they serve delicious, fresh and yummy food items, friendly environment with great hospitality.“
“We had the pleasure of working with Tumi & Thai Rice Spoon as the food caterer for our wedding in August and they exceeded our expectations in every way possible.Tumi was so flexible and was willing to accommodate our specific requests. She worked closely with us to create a customized menu that perfectly reflected our preferences and the overall theme of our wedding. The staff was attentive and professional, ensuring that the dining experience was seamless for both us and our guests. On the day of our event, the food was displayed beautifully and the quality was excellent. Our guests are still raving about it. The staff was so kind enough to make us our own plates and kept us fed throughout the evening. We would highly recommend Tumi & Thai Rice Spoon to any couple looking for a caterer that goes above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience. “Bangkok Thai Cuisine: A Delicious Trip to ThailandI recently had a fantastic meal at Bangkok Thai Cuisine, and it was a delightful trip to Thailand without leaving town! The Pad Thai was a real standout. It wasn't just delicious, it was perfectly balanced. The sweet, savory, and just a hint of spice all played together beautifully. Every bite was a flavor party in my mouth! The veggie rolls were another winner. They were incredibly fresh and packed with flavor. The crispy lettuce gave way to a delightful filling making for a satisfying and light starter.Overall, Bangkok Thai Cuisine impressed me. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic-tasting. While I can't speak to the entire menu, both the Pad Thai and veggie rolls were fantastic. If you're looking for a delicious and affordable Thai dining experience, I highly recommend giving them a try!“

“To go only, but so good for a student meal! I am thankful for this place. Really appreciate the kindness of the owners. She does not speak English well but the warmth in her presence and the food speaks for itself. Recommend getting the Pad Thai!!“

“This was a chance find, but they impressed us, and i cannot say enough good things about the food. We stopped here while trying to find another place, it looked like a good hole in the wall. What drew us here was it was full, even early in the evening - took it as a good sign. The service was prompt, and the food was yummy. The place is small and you can hear almost all the tables, but i was lost in the food anyways :)“

“This place has closed, marking the end of an era for me. I used to frequent the SF location in Union Square, which closed in 2015. I was delighted to discover the Berkeley location. Their prices were reasonable, and the combination beef noodle soup was delicious. The pad kee mao was exceptionally tasty and fragrant, and they would make it extra spicy for me. The last time I was there, the server informed me that they were closing on 3/21/24. I am now on the lookout for a new Thai restaurant that serves this style of Thai cuisine. The store seemed a bit empty over the last year or two, but it's still saddening to see them close.“

“Honestly I haven't had enough dishes to give stars, just yellow curry and larb (good) and egg rolls (okay). But yes they are back, currently only for online/pickup. I'm not sure they're equipped for walking up and ordering to go; no menus or payment system in sight. It's true that the bags don't come with napkins or utensils. Also had the lunch pad grapaw with vegetables, good and decently spicy.“

“There are many good Thai places in my area. I always go to Chai Thai, because they're even better. Their fresh rolls are outstanding! Their curries are wonderful. The vegetables are choice and very fresh. The staff is so nice too, and I never wait long.“

“I like this place. The food comes quickly and it's reliably decent. It has become my go-to Thai takeout when I'm short on time, or eat in when I just want something reliable. Some of the male waitstaff aren't super friendly, but a woman who cooked the food seemed kind.“

“My favorite Thai restaurant. The wait staff are really nice and accommodating, and the restaurant is pretty and relaxing. My chicken fried rice was delicious, with some lettuce and cucumbers on the plate for additional veges, and my friend loved his Pad Thai. Highly recommended.“
