“We got married in Carmel by the Sea and it is one of our favorite places in the whole world. Whenever we get the chance to visit, I book a new foodie spot for us. This last visit, I found Chez Noir through Yelp and made reservations. We were not let down at this meal. Not only is the entire restaurant extremely charming inside and out (love the furniture & art!), the food and wine pairings were on point. The wine selection is eclectic and I loved that about it. We really enjoyed our time here and would definitely visit again!“

“Kind of a hidden gem. I have lived here five years and never walked back into this patio area. We went during winter so I predict the patio experience will be even better. Food was great. Still having a hard time with such expensive tacos- so used to street tacos being affordable- we will come back.“

“That dry aged steak is fantastic. I love getting the flight of sauces with it. We always leave full here. Folktale wines are showcased here and pair nicely with the dishes. Sometimes, it gets a bit loud because the acoustics are not ideal, but you can cuddle up together in a smaller table if you’re a couple having a romantic dinner.“

“It is an oyster bar. Small like almost all places in Carmel. The prices are very reasonable for any oyster bar. But they have an extensive alcohol menu and the prices are not outrageous.We are from the East Coast and like a variety of West Coast oysters, meatier and delicious. Hog Island were the best we had.Unique drinks, and a bartender who cares. Appreciate the attention to detail from a bartender.Wait staff is hustling because it’s busy.I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone coming to Carmel.If they are listening: put a seafood tower on the menu. I ordered all on one and would appreciate it on the menu.“

“We had a bar tender named Parker. He was ok but didn't know how to play 1/4 24 in dice and in fact was pissed when we passed him the dice in the cup! He just needed to say uncle on the game! We had so much fun in the bar and will return for the next match but Parker needs for focus on getting one more ingredient in our drink! Dave, Kathy, Renee and Steve. Happy Holidays.“

“This is the best restaurant that I have EVER been to in the WORLD! I've eaten in Paris, London and Rome! The food was simply amazing, and very flavorful. But the cherry on top was the outstanding service! Everyone was very attentive to our needs, very kind and GENUINE! I asked our waiter about the chef who then offered him to come say hi to us! We had to personally thank the chef for how amazing our food was!“
