“This is an unusual place, basically the lobby of a new residential complex turned into a hip (for Menlo Park) lounge. The first time we were here the food was mixed (in not everything was fantastic), but the service was outstanding. This time what we ate was all delicious (the scallop ceviche was one of the best things I have ever eaten), but I had a hard time getting anyone's attention to get a glass of wine. It is designed to be a place to hang out for a while. Good cocktails, small plates of tasty food.“

I had ordered #25 bun bo hue & my mother had ordered #20 rib bone phone along side with some fried rice (#34) . Everything was excellent, the meat was so tender & the broth had such a great umami flavor to it that it was damn near addicting which made every bite bursting with flavor . Did not taste like there was lemon or lime in it but who knows. Duck main course: meat also perfect, very interesting sides (baby leek and artichoke heart). Basque cheesecake: I wish I could steal their recipe. I make a good cheesecake but theirs is lighter. I am jealous :) Panna Cotta: NOT TOO SWEET THANK YOU SO MUCH Please for heaven's sake get rid of dessert jars. They are just... not a great idea. “We were weary travelers stopping by Scotty's in hope of a more chill vibe with some good food, and Scottys delivered! Our bartender, Sergio, was so friendly and fun! We got some inside knowledge about the town as we are from Oregon. The drinks were perfect and the food was top notch! I would have expected to pay a lot more for the quality of food and service we received at literally any of the surrounding places. We will visit Palo Alto again if only to go back to Scotty's as a new tradition! Thank you, Sergio, for making our anniversary dinner a great one! Someone give him a raise!“
