I have now eaten both takeout and dine-in at Heemo Sushi, and the quality was great in both settings. The first time was dine-in with a friend, and the only thing that was a little confusing was that my friend and I waited for probably 10-15 minutes for them to seat us when it seemed like there were multiple open tables. Not sure if they were just short-staffed, but maybe a brief mention of the reason for the wait would have helped our experience just so we weren't wondering. The food was great - my favorite was the "Spring" roll with various fish wrapped in thin slices of cucumber, and no rice. Definitely a great choice when you're reaching middle age and trying to cut carbs that your aging body can no longer burn like it could when you were 20. Also a bonus: the server gave us a free little salad with fish and tomatoes. Sounds a little odd, but it was pretty good, definitely as a freebie. Will come again!

This sushi place was actually pretty unique me and my children were craving some thing yummy and we're hoping for all you can eat even though this is not an ace the service was immaculate so I definitely give this four stars maybe 4 1/2 if I could just because The overall restaurant itself is fantastic you walk and feel immediately welcome and like you are going to get some great service It's a little bit on the pricey side, but still makes you feel like you could order everything on the menu.

Not so good the egg rolls are not that great & I got an order of the California rolls it's not all that I agree with the other reviews you can find better spots out there.

Serving size, presentation, and quality of fish here is legitimately unmatched in Chino Hills.. Prices are super good and Chefs seem to have good experience, highly recommend

Love this place! The fish is fresh and the rolls are good sizes. We always try something new each time we go and every time it did not disappoint. Everything is tasty! We love the Cajun salmon nigiri. It's torched and has a nice flavor. My husband and I are locals so we come pretty often and anytime our friends or family ask for a sushi place around this area, we always recommend Heemo!

The sushi here was fresh with reasonably sized rolls! I give my experience 3.5 stars but will round it up. I came here on Valentine's Day and they were not properly staffed given how slow service was. To begin, the waitlist was messy as the paper with names filled up and people started lining up to put their names on it. The staff never came back with another paper and started using post-it notes. It took a very long time to get seated and when we were able to place our order, I could see our sushi rolls sitting at the sushi bar for a long time before they brought them to our table. The staff was nice but there was simply no sense of urgency from any of the staff given how busy it was. The sushi was great and made up for the slow service. Looking forward to coming back on a less busy day! DHA 5/5 - our favorite of the night! King Salmon 4/5 - also really enjoyed this. California Roll 4/5 - a classic that we always like to get. Spicy Tuna Roll 3/5 - overload of spicy tuna!

I'm a local and I recommend this place to friends since the sushi is good sized, fairly priced, and always tastes fresh! Service: The servers are always warm and welcoming. They accommodate to your needs as much as possible and were attentive. Ambiance: Nice place to sit and have lunch or even dinner, they always play the top trending music! There is never not any music which is something that is important when it comes to the ambiance in restaurants!

So disappointing. The service here from the waitress is the worst. First the table took forever to be ready even though not all the tables were full. We put in our order. The waitress even read the order back to us to confirm. While waiting I saw the same waitress clean the table behind us by just sweeping some waste paper down to the floor. Didn't even pick it up. Food took forever to come out and we literally waited till they were closing only to find that they didn't put in the order for the two main rolls we ordered. What was terrible is that the waitress had tried to drop off the check to us before and we told her we were still waiting for two rolls. She didn't even go check on it. It wasn't until they were closing that a man came out to ask if there was anything else they can help us with. He finally checked and saw that the two rolls were never put in. Keep in mind the two rolls were the main dishes that we were hoping we can get full from. But since they already cleaned up we ended up leaving hungry. What a great Valentine's Day dinner. O to be fair, the few pieces of sashimi that did come out was fresh and pretty good. That is why I gave this a two star and not a one.

This is a review of the take-out process only. I had placed an order today Valentine's Day 2024 at 4:00 p.m. via their website for a schedule pickup time of 7:15 p.m. At 6:31 p.m. I received another email stating that my order would be available for pickup around 7:45 p.m. However, I did not receive any notification or update until 6:31 p.m.?? What is the use of having an ability to make a pickup order for a scheduled pickup time just to be able to pick it up 30 plus minutes later?? So I arrived here at 7:45 p.m. and they are grossly understaffed. There is additional seasoning. But there's a line of about 18 plus people waiting to sit down. This is very disappointing for take out customers as well as dine-in services for sushi.

This location used to also be a sushi restaurant and the set up appears the same. Had dinner here last night with my sisters. I opted for the teriyaki salmon box, which came with miso soup, a side salad, rice, salmon, and tempura with gyozq and an egg roll. It was a large amount of food for a great price, and was definitely shareable. We also had the soft shell crab, which was delicious as well. My sister ordered the aloha and volcano rolls, which were fresh, flavorful and a bit spicy. Service was friendly & courteous but a little slow because there was only one server. Otherwise, we had a nice dinner and would come back again.
