“UNNNNNNNBELIEVABLE sushi bar experience for its value. The chef really delivered on making sure you get the best & unique ingredients of the day. I've dined here a couple times at the table and I assumed it was just a regular local sushi spot but I was wrong when I see & tasted my first nigiri. Go for the table if you want the usual salmon, tuna, snapper etc. Go for sushi bar omakase experience if you want to try something out of your usual comfort zone. Today we were served hirame with thin, transparent seaweed (if my memory serves me correctly), jelly fish, misokani, and octopus (not like your usual tako) and much more. We added some firefly squid, mirugai & ikura on top of our omakase and we were so full and satisfying! Service was great as you communicate mostly with the chef but the waitresses were friendly & attentive on refilling our tea. Overall a place you'd definitely visit if you are in the area!”

“This is a really nice place for seafood. They have fixed price menu and market price market. I asked for non-spicy option and the server recommended the garlic butter sauce which was very delicious. The shrimp and crawfish portion is what I expected but I was surprised (in a good way) to get 2 lobster tails with 1lb order! The service was great. Good vibes with sport playing too.”
“A hidden gem in Diamond Bar!!! And they actually open until 10pm. For Diamond Bar standards that's pretty late. We love Tofu Bean - Diamond Bar. This Tofu Bean is owned by the same great owner of the Tofu Bean of Rowland Heights. Their Banchan (side dishes) are the best. The potato side dish and kimchi are my favorites. When you order a combination, the tofu soup is the same size as the regular tofu soup orders. Check them out - I highly recommend.”

“I found this restaurant on Yelp! What a great find! The inside is spacious. They have small curtain like partitions for privacy between tables. So far, I've been here twice. Both visits have gone well. This hot pot restaurant is shabu shabu style. You are given a slip and check off all the ingredients that you would like to put in your broth. The beef is cut fresh when you order it. I've tried the sichuan broth and the tom yum broth. They've been flavorful. I love adding tofu and potato vermicelli along with veggies and beef. Customer service is great. The waitress is attentive and friendly. She checks on you often and makes sure your cup is always full of water or your preferred drink. I also like how they are open late as this cold weather makes me crave hot pot. I'm looking forward to trying a new combination.”

“Chuan Pot is a AYCE shabu place that's relatively worth the price! The ambiance was pretty interesting, we came in a Saturday night and it wasn't too crowded around 6pm! The tables are all made of a type of wood I commonly remember seeing in my uncles' and auntie's houses growing up haha so it gave kind of a nostalgic feel. I found the music and vibe to be quite unique for a shabu place! They played jazz and had a screen with a Hawaiian backdrop; it made the dinner experience feel strangely calming, not the usual upbeat experience people may find at other places. As far as food and service, it was really great! Both of our female servers were super sweet, attentive, and friendly. They checked on us often and made sure we always had meat on our table! They only serve 4 types of meat and have 6 soup bases to choose from but allowed us to order two plates of each (not sure if this was because we were a group of 4 or because it wasn't too packed). The meats were good quality and were tasty in our two soup bases. They give you paper plates and bowls to eat from which worked for us! They also have a sauce table with ~8 toppings, a water bar, and a veggie/noodle/rice/other misc shabu foods bar. I was happy with the variety of items they had! Lastly, we were given a scoop of strawberry or cookies and cream ice cream (flavors vary) and it was a delicious way to end our meal. We'd come back :) thanks for a great experience!”

“Don’t know why they only rate 4.2! Love Indian food and have tried many Indian food places in San Bernardino, Orange County and LA County and san Gabriel area. So far this place has the best Indian food. Feels like home. The owner and staff are amazing great sense of humor and very friendly. I am so glad they have remained open. We need to support good food places run by small business owners.Today I tried the Lamb Buna- soooo good. Along with our buttered chicken and palak paneer. Makes a perfect dinner for family and friends. Food is always fresh. Do t forget the garlic naan. Mango Lassee and gulab jamon for desert. They have awesome buffets for $20 weekdays and weekend brunch tor $25 with a drink.”

“Nice place to have a cozy meal in a quiet and family-style Korean restaurant. First time here and did not know what to order. Their menu shows photos of dishes with lots of choices but we did not find one we felt comfortable in adventuring out. So we went with the basic - Korean seafood Tofu . It was a big mistake! They literally put a big piece of tofu over a few small mussels. Typically, there are small clams, shrimps , oysters and etc in the stew. Lessons learned for me! There is a tofu place across in the same plaza. Seems like this restaurant specializes in more authentic Korean dishes.”
“I stopped by looking for lunch on Thursday. This location is inside the World Market Korean supermarket on the right hand side. The location is really great for because it's close to the freeway. I ordered the 10 piece soy garlic wings. The total came out to about $20. Price is a little steep for wings. Surprisingly, the order came with about 5 potato swirls (imagine well done steak fries). The food overall was pretty good. Wings are made to order. The wait was about 15 to 20 minutes in the afternoon. I requested the sauce be tossed with the wings. This made the sauce slide off the wings and all over the bottom of the foil, so I recommend asking for it on the side. Overall, it was pretty good! Just a little steep in price. We would get again!”

I love pastries from this bakery; I've tried both whole cakes (for birthdays and special occasions) and other pastries and they are all very fresh and delicious. “What a discovery!!!The “Beef roll cake” (Niurou Juan bing)! was amazing, the dough was super thin and yet flaky crunchy. The beef tasty and plentiful with fresh coriander.I’ve eaten this in Taiwan, China and (too) many Chinese restaurants around the world and commend the chefs for an exceptional experience. We also had Xiao Lom Bao, the very fine soup dumplings which were equally tasty and had a very fine skin dough. This was definitely the hidden gem I had been looking for with my wife who is part of the Chinese diaspora. It’s a simple eatery without much fanfare but for those who have a discerning taste for this type of food, a must visit. The Diamond Bar (east of Los Angeles where I-57 and CA-60 cross) neighborhood as is Chino Hills etc. is home to many families, originally from Taiwan and later people from the People’s republic of China. This eatery is owned and operated by a chef from Heihe, Heilongjiang province, located on the Chinese northern border with Russia across Blagoveshchensk. They also do take-out and one can buy various dumplings to make at home.A word of thanks to my niece who discovered this gem.Parking: It’s easy parking right in front of the restaurant.”

“I'm pretty basic with my coffees and always opt for a hot vanilla latte ($5.75). Visited Grid Coffee on a Sunday late morning and almost all the indoor seating was occupied. The decor and space is very minimal and relaxed. Good coffee and a nice area to hangout or study. Only downfall is the chairs have no backing so if you have a bad back, this may not be the place for you to hang around. Definitely will be back to try the strawberry caffe latte which looks amazing!”

“I had the Peking Duck Combo Meal twice, both times takeout and they were very good and tasty. The location was previously a Korean fast food and that’s why you see reviews of Korean food mixed in here. Google should really fix this problem.Back to the Duck Palace. The duck was well seasoned and delicious. The meat was carved out with both skin and meat so it is not just skin only. This is just another style of eating Peking Duck, not more or less “authentic “ as I had both styles in China, in Beijing no less. The combo meal comes with a Duck soup, first time it was real good, the second time I think the cook tipped the whole bottle of pepper in it ?. The carcass of the duck, mainly the neck and leg bones, were deep fried and they are surprisingly tasty, excellent when washed down with a cold beer.”

It's not just a meal; it's a comforting experience that transports you to ramen heaven. I also love the sushi as well. “I recently dined at Mandarin Taste Restaurant in Diamond Bar and had a mixed experience. The restaurant quickly seated us, and we ordered Kung Pao Chicken, Orange Chicken, Beef with Garlic Sauce, Mongolian Beef, Egg Fried Rice, and Egg Rolls. The food portions were decent and arrived promptly. However, the service left something to be desired. Our server was not very attentive, and I had to chase him down to order more dishes and request the check. This lack of attentiveness impacted the overall dining experience. Despite the service issues, the food itself was satisfactory. The flavors were good, and the portions were generous. I appreciated the variety of dishes on the menu, and everything we tried was flavorful. In conclusion, while the experience at Mandarin Taste was not bad overall, there is room for improvement in the service department. I may give this restaurant another chance in the future, hoping for better service.”

“We accidentally went to the original Tasty Box and was informed that we were looking for It's sister location in the same plaza next to Starbucks. The staff were super friendly and moved tables for us. She was so nice and brought filtered water for my kids. There are roughly 8 small tables in the tightly packed restaurant. They menu is pretty big and was super excited that they had pan fried sticky rice which is my daughter's favorite. They also had another hard to find item near us, crispy noodles with gravy. There are very few places near us that do this well. We were super happy with everything we got. Highly recommend the pork chops with honey garlic sauce, braised green beans, and eggplant with pork.”

“Haven't been here since remodeled. Prices are good based on the area, and no need to pay tips because almost everything is self serve. However, service is ok but not every employee has good service. Food is good, and you have to self serve soy sauce or chili sauce etc. Porridge is still an excellent and big portion in my opinion. I like the Pork Chop and the black pepper sauce is the perfect match, and pork chops are not dry. Probably a place will come back for brunch.”

“It's a cute little corner bakery tucked inside an H-Mart. It's tinier than most Tous Les Jours I've been to. There isn't really a café atmosphere; it's too squishy and noisy inside. The presentation is really nice though, but they also don't have that big of a variety of baked goods since they only occupy such a small space. There were only a few people, but there wasn't enough of a walkway to shop around comfortably. I'd prefer to go to a brick and mortar location instead for the aesthetic and calm aura.”

Look, do yourself a favor and if you happen to be in the Diamond Bar area make a quick pit stop at Koio Tea Shoppe and ask for an AVOCADO FROMIO. You are never even going to believe this smoothie HAS avocado. I kept on checking this place each time I stopped by HMart, and it just so happened that I had a few minutes to spare, when I finally took the plunge. I don't regret this. Please believe me when I say, that this concoction is way more than just a smoothie, it's a MASTERPIECE. I dontnhave all the datils regarding the ingredients, but I can tell you that even with the fruit jelly and ice cream, it's not overwhelmingly sweet and the place itself though small, has a very cozy atmosphete. It's bright and pretty modern. I'm def going back to try this again. SOON.”
