UNNNNNNNBELIEVABLE sushi bar experience for its value. The chef really delivered on making sure you get the best & unique ingredients of the day. I've dined here a couple times at the table and I assumed it was just a regular local sushi spot but I was wrong when I see & tasted my first nigiri. Go for the table if you want the usual salmon, tuna, snapper etc. Go for sushi bar omakase experience if you want to try something out of your usual comfort zone. Today we were served hirame with thin, transparent seaweed (if my memory serves me correctly), jelly fish, misokani, and octopus (not like your usual tako) and much more. We added some firefly squid, mirugai & ikura on top of our omakase and we were so full and satisfying! Service was great as you communicate mostly with the chef but the waitresses were friendly & attentive on refilling our tea. Overall a place you'd definitely visit if you are in the area!

We've came back for more! Food 5 Stars - everything was fresh and satisfying! Service 5 Stars - everyone here is attentive and friendly! Ambiance 5 Stars - feels cozy! Parking 5 Stars - we realized best time to come is weeknight for dinner, plenty of open parking spaces with no wait time! Just another night of satisfied tummies with yummies!

I ordered sashimi combo plate and it was reasonably priced considering the portion size. I didn't like the ambience and service. We ordered hot tea and she said we charge ok? And later my friend ordered a second bowl of miso soup and the server again said we charge extra ok? seriously!!

I regret to say that my recent dining experience was disappointing. The service was lacking, as we had to repeatedly request refills of tea, which seemed unnecessary. Moreover, the premium chirashi bowl I ordered tasted overwhelmingly fishy, likely due to warm rice and an excessive oiliness. The texture of the fish was tough and unpleasant, leading me to discard several pieces. Overall, the meal was overpriced considering the portion size and quality. Unfortunately, I won't be returning."

An amazing restaurant, although small. Everything is fresh and traditionally and expertly prepared. The lunch sushi/ sashimi special is a bargain and filling. The fish beautifully cut and prepared. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. Advise getting there before they open for a good chance at being seated.

Just went with some friends. Don't go with a party larger than 4, as you will have a hard time being seated. Whole party must be present to be seated. Two hour occupancy limit, which is more like 75 minutes before the servers get anxious. Felt like grade school with all the rules posted everywhere. Complimentary salad with ginger/veggie dressing - 4/5 - standard Complimentary miso soup - 2/5 - quite salty Corn tempura - 3.5/5 - interesting with the matcha salt(fine salt, sugar, matcha, maybe some dashi), nothing special without it Intestines with veggies - 3/5 - the intestines are chopped fine and braised in a miso base broth Premium Sashimi - 4.5/5 - included akami(red lean tuna), otoro(fatty tuna), kanpachi, hamachi, red snapper, albacore, salmon, squid, shrimp and uni. They were out of standard Santa Barbara uni and automatically upcharged us for the Hokkaido uni. Rice was good, but not great. Premium Chirashi - I didn't have any of this dish that others ordered, but prefer my chirashi with seasoned rice, which this did not have. Tldw: good quality sashimi fish for the price and location, seating is cramped and service is fast but not great. Don't try to hang out here because they will run you out with sideways glances.

Wowie!!! This place is a hidden gem. Service was great and the food was even greater!!! I don't know how the prices are so reasonable for the quality you get! We got here before opening on a Saturday and there was a line. Apparently you can make reservations too now! Get the corn tempura & hojicha panna cotta. SO GOOD!

How is that I don't notice this place when I go in for my manicure which is practically next door? The entrance to the restaurant is on the side and the restaurant sign is not too big one can overlook it. But I am glad I discovered this today when I saw long lines before 11:30 am when it opens. The place inside is small and if you don't have seating for 11:30 am you will have to wait till 12:30 pm until those inside finish eating. I ordered their lunch menu, sushi & sashimi combo which comes with tea, soup and salad and the fish is fresh ,tender and high quality. sushi rice is soft, sticky and tasty. I will definitely come back for more.

It's always so busy whenever I come by, I've never had the chance to dine in yet :( Even when I call for takeout they usually quote a ~30-40 min wait time because their kitchen is super busy haha. Interior is definitely on the smaller side - simple and elegant with a bar/sushi chef and a scattering of tables around. On my most recent visit I ordered the sushi & sashmi combination from the lunch visit menu, which was an honestly crazy amount of fish for only $16. The fish was super fresh - each piece was so delicious - and I really liked the unique variety of fish (mackerel so tasty and pretty uncommon in the usual lunch menu lineup). Another great experience, but of course I don't think I've ever had a bad roll from them before. I also get the chirashi sometimes which is very yummy and super worth the price, too. Can't wait to come back (maybe to dine in... eventually...

Delicious, small, family owned sushi restaurant tucked away in a small, unassuming plaza. I was graciously treated here by my closest friends for my birthday lunch and really enjoyed the food and super attentive service here. They have their menu here but they also have a sushi ordering sheet, the daily specials on the menu board on the wall, and I don't think it's listed but you can also order the chef's special omakase! I got both ice water and some hot green tea and both cups were never empty throughout our meal. We got the: 1) Corn Tempura: -This comes with a side of matcha salt for dipping. Very unique and I haven't seen this before. -Nice light crispy tempura breading on the outside and sweet juicy corn on the inside that goes great with the matcha salt. -Great appetizer. 2) Deep Fried Baby Octopus: -Not bad! Comes with a slice of lemon to add juice for taste. -Not too chewy, thicker batter on the outside. 3) Omakase: -This came with 10 pieces of nigiri and the amaebi (sweet shrimp) head. -You get to choose how you want the shrimp head and we all got ours fried. -I don't recall everything that came in our omakase, but there was definintely fatty tuna, yellow tail, blue crab (with miso, I think?), scallop, ikura, uni, amaebi, and jellyfish. There were some other cuts of fish too, but I can't remember, sorry! -Everything was super fresh and delicious. High quality fish for sure. -It was my first time having jellyfish nigiri as well! -The fried shrimp head was super crispy and delicious, especially the little crunchy feelers. I don't usually eat shrimp heads but this was great! 4) Tuna and Salmon Nigiri: -We got 4 pieces of each and like the nigiri in the omakase, fresh and high quality. -Pieces were fatty and tasted great. 5) Negitoro Rolls: -Tuna with green onion. Delicious simple rolls where the bite of the onions highlight the freshness of the fish. Overall great place to treat yourself out at!

food was amazing! fish is soooo fresh and you get a good portion for the price paid. service was great, there were a few different servers helping up but they were clearly working as a team and made sure that our table was cleaned and waters were full. the restaurant itself is small and quaint, there are just a few tables and then the option to sit around the sushi bar. we came on a saturday at 6pm and waited for a little over an hour.

Great quality sashimi. Service was okay. I didn't get my hot water refilled. Small neighborhood sushi bar with no frills interior.
