“This is the place we went to have a quick bite when we moved to Diamond Bar 8 years ago and then we found so many other places to eat and almost forgot this restaurant. Recently we visited this place again, the menu is same except price a little higher. The quality of food are same but now they gave you disposable chopsticks instead of re-usable ones in the past. Other than that, not much change, always busy but the waiting time is tolerable. I like this beef BBQ rib combo with seafood tofu soup and they are good. They don’t have steak knife but so provide a pair of scissors and a small pair of tongs so that you don’t have to eat BBQ beef with just chopsticks.”

“Great taste of duck dishes with both Northern Chinese and Southern Chinese style roast ducks. Awesome value for its lunch special bento, considerable portion of duck and side dishes, and competitive price. The only limitation is the restaurant is closed on Tuesday so that it is not convenient enough for me as I need to go to office nearby on Tuesday but cannot have food at that days.”

“Indian food isn't normally at the top of my list of favorite foods, so when I do end up at an Indian restaurant, I would usually just get some naan and chicken tikka masala. This was so true at Diamond Palace Cuisine of India.

My Kiwanis club met here for our May monthly meeting. There's a separate banquet space available right next to the main restaurant should you need to host your next event -- which is where we held our meeting. Plenty of room with a stage and food serving area!

I got the garlic naan ($4), the roti ($3), and the chicken tikka masala ($20). If you get both the garlic naan and roti, make sure you eat the roti first as the garlic naan is more flavorful and would overpower any taste you'll get from the roti. Both taste excellent dipped in the chicken tikka masala! Of course, some white basmati rice comes with the entrée, so you have that pairing option as well. I sampled my friend's chicken korma, which was less spicy than the tikka masala and a good choice to pick for variety.

Service was great and parking was easy in the plaza. We all enjoyed the food and setting, so we're planning on meeting more often at Diamond Palace Cuisine of India!”

“Awesome local small business! The drinks here are creative, unique, and so thoughtfully crafted. The different specialty drinks are so fun! My husband and I have tried the Saltara, Azteca, Buzz’n Brew, and Amorcita and loved them all. Drinks are made to order with specialty syrups and toppings.”

“Chicken Katsu lunch special is really great value. Spicy katsu sauce is the right amount of spice and flavor, and the salad dressing makes the salad pretty good. Taiyaki was made fresh and tasted great. Wish there was an option to buy less Taiyaki though; 5 is a little too much for even two people.”

“My service organization regularly came to Silver Spoons' predecessor, so when we found out that Silver Spoons was open, we made the restaurant our next meeting location so we can try it out!

I usually order my go-to to test out a Thai restaurant, so I ordered the pork pad see ew ($14.95) and mild golden curry with chicken ($14.95). I would've ordered a fried rice, but the mild papaya salad ($13.95) caught my attention instead. Note that the dishes come with your choice of chicken, pork, or tofu included in the price, but if you want beef, it'll be an extra dollar, and for shrimp, an extra $2. What was surprising was that the curry doesn't come with white rice. You'd have to fork out an extra $2.50 for that. I thought everything tasted great, though both the papaya salad and pad see ew was a little heavy on the sauce.

My friend ordered mango sticky rice ($12.99) for dessert and I was surprised and happy they had that available (I went to another Thai restaurant during Christmas time and while they had the mango sticky rice on the menu, they said it was not in season so they weren't selling any). I took a few bites of it and enjoyed it -- not too sweet and not too heavy! Don't forget to check-in on Yelp for a free Thai tea.

“This is the first time I was able to try authentic northeastern Chinese breakfast in California, and it really satisfied my cravings. The food is just like it is back in China and very delicious. The menu is short and simple which is my favorite since that means they specialize in specific foods. Must try for some authentic and delicious Chinese breakfast! The staff are very friendly too.”

Got a 2 protein poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I asked for half rice and half salad, but wow there's a LOT of rice. My brother didn't mind since he likes rice, but I was a bit peeved. (EDIT: Oh, also the poke bowl is drowned in sauce. My brother loves eel sauce so he was glad, but just letting other customers know!)

The staff behind the counter was nice and was patient with me while I was asking my brother for the toppings and sauces that he wanted in his poke bowl. Sorry I took so long, at least there was no one in the store!

Very good portions at Mr. Poke. I got 3 scoops of salmon for my half brown rice, half salad poke bowl, with all toppings, and all sauces. It was actually a lot of food and I could only finish half. I didn't want to leave it for the next day, so my mom ate the other half. I guess since I got it via Doordash, I did not get the miso soup.

“My favorite local Vietnamese restaurant. I always get their number 18 pho which is brisket and well done flank. This place is the only place around me that serves amazing food while being very affordable. Service is always welcoming and room is always filled with happy customers.”

“First tried this chain in Buena Park and was so excited to see them open in my home town! Literally searched for similar options in SGV but closest seemed to be Kingyubu in ktown that I didn’t like as much. Now this is a go to when I visit the parents. Have always loved inari as a guilty pleasure (so basic, I know..) and this concept takes them to the next level. Spicy options have a good kick and the toppings are plentiful. Im usually passing so I order online via toast and pickup no problem.. but then I can’t even make it out of the parking lot before I give in and gobble them up. Popping spicy salmon and garlic butter crab are my go tos.”

“I have been eating at Mandarin Taste since I was 4 years old. Since when they used to have to polaroid pictures taped to the wall where you waited for your seat. Since the shopping center was a thriving place for business.
I have been gone from the area for years now, but I came home over the summer and after a shopping trip at Brea Mall, I craved some Szechwan beef and nostalgia. Upon walking in, we noticed some small changes. The polaroid pictures are gone (mines was up there!) but everything else was exactly the same. Including the staff. They have of course aged as we all have, but I remember them in their younger years. We ordered all our old favorites. The pu-pu platter, chow mein, fried rice, and Szechwan beef. All of it tasted exactly the way it did the last time we had it. The consistency of this place is insane and much appreciated. The service was good too. I don't have any issues with Mandarin Taste and we always had great food and a good time here over so many years. Graduations, births, birthdays, and job promotions. All celebrated here. It made me sad to see the shopping center as desolate as it was. In the 80's and 90's, it was a busy place and again, many memories being there. I'm glad to see that Mandarin Taste has been able to remain and among so much change, they have been able to stay the same. Thanks for the memories. Please support this restaurant. You won't be disappointed.”

“We ordered the spicy hummus, garlic fries, beef shawarma, babakenush?, and cauliflower. My friend saw the baclava and had to try it. So we started with desser. The pistachio was very crispy and chewy and was my friends favorite. The walnut was sweet and chewy which was my favorite. Everything was absolutely delicious! The spicy hummus had a little kick at the beginning but as we ate we didn't taste the kick anymore. The cauliflower is lightly fried and so freaking delicious! I ate it by itself or with some hummus. My friend ate it with the babakanush and some cauliflower sauce and was in love. I tried her babakanush. I don't like eggplant but this was really delicious! Had a lovely garlic flavor that was slightly addicting. The garlic fries was just fries sprinkled with garlic powder but dipped it in the hummus and it was good. The pitas were really good too. I could've eaten more if I wasn't so full. But the beef shawarma was freaking AMAZING!!!!! We both said this was the best Mediterranean food we've ever had. I said no tomatoes to my beef shawarma which I'm glad I did. The flavor was absolutely amazing without it. Definitely 10/10 no complaints at all. And service was awesome too! So kind, friendly, and funny. I can't wait to come back again!”

“The buns here are stuff to the brim with filling with chives, glass noodles, wood ear mushrooms, and pork. Its a great quick meal to have after a long day because of how large the bun is. The frozen dumplings from here are also very generous in filling and are best boiled as soup or pan fried. The taste is meaty.”
