“Haven't been here since remodeled. Prices are good based on the area, and no need to pay tips because almost everything is self serve. However, service is ok but not every employee has good service. Food is good, and you have to self serve soy sauce or chili sauce etc. Porridge is still an excellent and big portion in my opinion. I like the Pork Chop and the black pepper sauce is the perfect match, and pork chops are not dry. Probably a place will come back for brunch.“
“We accidentally went to the original Tasty Box and was informed that we were looking for It's sister location in the same plaza next to Starbucks. The staff were super friendly and moved tables for us. She was so nice and brought filtered water for my kids. There are roughly 8 small tables in the tightly packed restaurant. They menu is pretty big and was super excited that they had pan fried sticky rice which is my daughter's favorite. They also had another hard to find item near us, crispy noodles with gravy. There are very few places near us that do this well. We were super happy with everything we got. Highly recommend the pork chops with honey garlic sauce, braised green beans, and eggplant with pork.“
“I'm from San Francisco, so my bar for roast duck is Cheung Hing. I haven't tried much roast duck in Socal yet, but I definitely think the roast duck from Tasty Box is better than Ho Kee Cafe's. I'm still searching for solid roast duck out here.“
“We went here for breakfast. The portions were generous, and the food was tasty. I had the hot milk tea, and it was really good. They also have free refills for drinks as well, which is not standard practice in most places. Will definitely return.“
“Each table orders through a QR code without having to speak to the waiters. The menu has good variety and the food comes out fast! Their vegetable dishes are good and they do have some good vegetarian options of noodles, rice, dumplings, etc. For me, the one thing that would bump up the overall rating to 5 stars, is more vegetarian/plant based protein like tofu.“
“This is my favorite place to eat in Rowland area. The food is always on point. I believe it's one of the best Cantonese cafes in all of SGV. My favorite item to order here is the mushroom truffle pizza. Their pizzas are so good. The dough is crispy on the outside but nice and chewy on the inside. They use enough cheese and are generous with the mushrooms. I also love their fillet mignon and shrimp as well as their chicken steak meals. All the food is really fresh and quick. They are packed every day during lunch and dinner times so definitely try to come early and get a seat!“
“Stopped in last night 1/18/24 and ordered 4 different items and a mango tea. I had the steamed shrimp dumplings, BBQ pork Bao, Chicken and sticky rice in lotus leaves, and the steamed beef ball/ I enjoyed everything, even my mango green tea was tasty. I was the only person in the restaurant and I chatted with the owner for close to an hour while I ate. He was very friendly and my service was very good. After I was done eating the owner handed me 3 custard tarts to try. The crust on the tarts was super buttery and flakey and the custard was slightly sweet and warm. I like deserts that are not overly sweet and these fit the bill. Absolutely delicious. I'm in town for 3 weeks for work and will certainly be back.“
“My review is mainly on the food cause we all know service is not always going to be amazing at these types of restaurants haha. I come here pretty often with my parents because it's so close to my house. The food is almost always a hit with a few exceptions here and there but for the most part, we always leave pretty happy and with leftovers haha. I will say over the years, the portions have gotten smaller but that's not surprising considering how expensive things are getting. Food is always fresh and comes out relatively quickly“
“Came here for family dinner. Best HK style food around this area without a doubt! The decor was nice, the food was delicious with generous portion and the service provided by John(not 100% sure if that was the correct name lol) was outstanding. He was friendly, and made excellent recommendations. We'll definitely be returning soon!“
“Loud just like any other Hong Kong style cafe. Had a great variety of Hong Kong comfort food and it just hits differently. Everything we had was pretty good, the only thing was that the squid was a little soggy. The servers were quick to seat us and ready to take orders.“
“The vibe is quite nice like a cafe in Asia. Some of the dishes are quite good, you just need to get the right dish. The dimsum is good. I think some of the Chinese dishes are surprisingly good like mapo tofu but the shrimp walnut is too sweet. The steak plate was the best in my opinion. They have fresh juice which I recommend but it’s already pretty sweet so might be good to ask for no extra sugar. Servers are very nice.“
“Went in today to try them out. I'm new in town and Chinese restaurants are the first places I hunt down when I'm new to a city! This place didn't disappoint! Every single thing we ordered was perfect!!! Thank you, Cindy! Your place is the best!!!“
“Happy Harbor Restaurant has a cozy atmosphere that makes dining there a pleasure. The place looks nice, perfect for celebrations. I tried their truffle pork siu mai, soy sauce chicken, black bean fish filet, walnut shrimp, bbq pork bun, egg tart--all were incredibly delicious. The truffle pork siu mai was a unique twist on a classic dim sum dish and I really loved it, while the soy sauce chicken was tender and flavorful. The fish filet in black bean sauce had the perfect balance of savory flavors, and the walnut shrimp was crunchy and satisfying. To finish off the meal, the egg tart was the perfect sweet treat. Highly recommend trying their dishes for a delightful dining experience!“
“Typical Hong Kong style cafe. The environment is very noisy. Ideal for gathering but you need to speak louder ?Price and portion are reasonable.Recommend minced beef rice with egg on the top. The ingredients just matched.I like the Hong Kong style lemon Ice tea.The location is convenient.“
“I never had dim sum before college. If you've never been, try it here. Ideally, go with someone who knows about dim sum and can help you order. If you can't do that, here are my quick tips: - Get here early - Order the shrimp ha gow, pork sui mai, and anything that looks good as the cart goes by - Enjoy chatting with everyone at your table like you're relaxing at home“
“Indulge in a culinary adventure with three new standout entrees: Hainan Chicken, Sizzling Beef Tenderloin, and Baked Tomato Pork Loin Rice. Each dish is a masterpiece of flavor and texture. First up, the Hainan Chicken, a beloved classic that never fails to impress. Tender poached chicken, imbued with subtle hints of ginger and garlic, rests atop a mound of fragrant, fluffy rice. Next, the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin takes center stage, promising an explosion of flavors with every bite. Juicy strips of beef tenderloin, seared to perfection, sizzle enticingly on a hot skillet, releasing mouthwatering aromas that tantalize the senses . Last but not least. Succulent slices of pork loin, baked to tender perfection, are nestled atop a bed of fragrant jasmine rice, infused with the sweetness of ripe tomatoes. These entrees promise a dining experience that transcends expectations. From the classic simplicity of the Hainan Chicken to the bold flavors of the Sizzling Beef Tenderloin and the fusion delight of the Baked Tomato Pork Loin Rice. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.“
