We ate at the sushi bar and our friend introduced us to this restaurant for lunch. Everything was delicious, and the seafood was fresh. The head chef is very well known for his flavorful homemade marinades, and you can taste the difference. We will be back to try the dinner menu. Lunch time gets very busy and there's usually a wait so make a reservation ahead of time.
Probably as authentic as you could get outside of Japan! They bring in ingredients from Japan and you can taste it. The omakase had not a single bad bite and the corn tempura… such sweet corn pieces! The clam in dashi was soothing and delicious. Our new favorite spot for sushi! The service was amazing and it is a smaller, more intimate space so a wait is pretty common.

What a gem! The Premium chirashi bowl was absolutely delicious! And Uni and Ikura don - so good you want to squeak with every bite. Japanese uni was tender and sweet, perfect! And lunch prices are super reasonable.Note: Makomae opens at 11:30 am, but by that time there's already a line of people waiting.
