“Everyone this place is a hidden gem. Ordered a bento box and the portions are very large, has so many different sides, all tastes good and the price is reasonable. Food is super fresh not premade, and the pork katsu w cheese is delicious. Recommend to dine in cuz it tastes the best when it’s hot. I’ll definitely try other dishes next time!“

“Very authentic in atmosphere, food, and service. I got the chirashi bowl and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh. Excellent texture. I was such a huge fan of their sushi rice as well! They have lunch specials that I clue miso soup and salad. Highly recommend coming here for lunch. Your whole party must be there to be seated and it gets busy (always a good sign).“

“Went to Wabi Sabi with a friend on a weekday night, and honestly, the plaza felt really quiet and almost deserted. From the outside, it was also hard to tell if the restaurant was even open because the inside looked so dark.

I’ll admit, I almost suggested leaving after seeing some less-than-great reviews on Yelp. But since my friend picked the restaurant, we decided to give it a try. Turns out, we were actually the only customers there that night!

We ordered:

Red Tonkatsu Ramen
Miso Tonkatsu Ramen

Both ramen were actually tastes okay, the broth was flavorful, although I found it a little on the oily side, so I didn’t end up drinking much of the soup. Red Tonkatsu got spicy kick but not that spicy as others mentioned.

One thing I noticed was that the pork wasn’t the traditional Japanese chashu. Instead, they use a pan-fried pork belly, which is still as tasty.

The service was attentive and friendly, and since the restaurant was so quiet, we had a very peaceful dinner and plenty of time to catch up.

More like 3.5 stars but I rounded up to 4. Not bad but not the best ramen in SGV area.“

“Really fresh and tasty hand rolls! The quality of the fish and rice are good. The place itself is small and meant more for take out. There is outdoor seating in the outside area as well as some limited seats inside but I'd recommend taking it to go. The have the seaweed packaged in a way that it stays dry during while you transport it. Definitely a great place for a quick and healthy lunch. Use the website to pre-order and avoid lines/waiting. Their presentation is also fantastic and a nice touch.“

“I've been coming here for over 10 years and absolutely love this spot. Hideo has been making sushi ever since I've been going here and he is excellent. Service is always good, the place is a little small, but always busy. They have the best muscles, best albacore capaccio and rolls. Nice vibe in there. “Was visiting from out of town and decided to pick up food for the family. The service was great and we were able to talk to who I presume was the owner, and he was friendly and patient with us. The food does take time to get but only because everything is made fresh to order. I much rather wait and get freshly prepared food. The food it self was delicious. Very generous portions. I would highly recommend this place. Great environment with amazing food. If you looking for some great teriyaki and delicious Mexican food then come check this place out. Food worth the price. “First time here. Service was excellent! William helped us decide on our order and was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The food is delicious and the presentation was perfect. We had the spicy miso ramen with gyozas and salmon teriyaki with tempura. The gyozas and tempura were perfectly crispy. My husband loved the ramen and he could make it as spicy as he wanted. The miso soup is one of the best I've had. The salmon was excellent and all the sauces were delicious. We will definitely be back!“

“Came in with zero expectations, just wanted to destroy a mountain of food. Surprisingly solid meat quality and selection. Most of the sides were good too, just not the corn & cheese and the golden oyster roll. Those missed.

Service was fine at first, then a wave of people hit and everything slowed down hard. Only two people running the host stand and dining area, so that tracks.

Also found out you can get scoops of ice cream even though it’s not on the menu. Only knew because we saw the table next to us get some. Hidden little win.

“A Mazesoba spot in Walnut, had to try it since it's rare to have this type of restaurant around. My wife and I were immediately seated as it wasn't busy when we entered, although busy a bit later. We were guided by Yuki, he was very friendly, and guided us through the menu since it was our first times at this specific spot. Top notch staff, friendly, professional, and very informative.

My wife and I ordered the Classic Mazesoba & Champion Mazesoba. (Both non spicy) Both came out pretty fast and the presentation is spectacular.

1. Champion Mazesoba came with 2pcs Chashu, Marinated egg, minced pork, poached eggs, 3pcs nori, shredded seaweed, green onions, chives, and garlic. All mixed together with the ramen noodles creates the perfect dish. It wasn't too salty, and everything mixes just melts perfectly.
The noodles were already seasoned well, which makes the mixing extra yummy.

2. Classic Mazesoba came with minced pork, poached egg, shredded seaweed, green onions, chives, and garlic.

Cheaper than the champion bowl, less ingredients, but just as tasty. This dish is perfect for customers who like less meat, and loves more simplicity in their mazesoba. Noodles taste very similar despite some of the lacking ingredients

Overall, Mazesoba Hero is amazing, service is great, parking is free (popular plaza), food is top quality, and for those who are new or interested in mazesoba type food, this is the perfect place to start. Can't wait to come back to try the other dishes.“

“The best Asian Cuisine I've had here in Pomona coming from Los Angeles I expect a lot of flavor and just good food which is hard to find here in pomona unless your eating Mexican food. So this is my go to place anytime I'm craving Asian food. You will not be disappointed 😌“

“They have a fun Naruto theme with some Dragonball Z mixed in. They have a huge screen that spans length of the sushi bar with theme images appearing.

The service is friendly, attentive for drink refills, and helpful with all other needs.

The chashu in the ramen was delicious. The broth was pretty good, but some of the toppings could have been prepared better. Nevertheless, it was tasty. I also tried a hand roll that was yummy. The fried chicken was pretty good, but it needs a better dipping sauce to accompany it.

If you want to have a good laugh, tell your friends to try and order miso soup with their bowl of ramen.“

“The food was genuinely life changing I plan on coming here often service took a minute or two however its very much worth the wait the rice is very good none of it was dry or half baked rice was also seasoned well the rolls themselves are very thick rolls with alot of filling the drinks were also good the soda tasts better then at other restaurants“

“Everything about this meal was fantastic. I loved the variety of textures in the baked sushi, especially the contrast with the crunchy fried items.

The baked mussels were perfectly prepared and seasoned just right. It is rare to find such a consistent experience, but this place really delivered. I will definitely be back soon.“

“I’ve had only four dining experience at this place over 8 years, and each time it blew my mind away, and I don’t know why I didn’t go as often. The most recent experience is a little sad because they got ride of the tv that shows classic Hayao Miyazaki Animes. And the last time I went there was before covid, I think they have different cooks too, because the curry is so much thicker and I’m not a big fan of that.
But overall food quality is amazing, fried chicken is so juicy inside and crispy with nice flavor it was better than I’ve had in Japan town area in San Diego. The pork katsu skewer was so strangely good too, I’ve never had anything similar to that, it’s a bunch of pork cubes on a skewer with panko on the outside, looked like a crispy corndog, tasted amazing. Omurice was not good, I had it with curry sauce, the omelet itself was great, but the rice was dry and salty, the curry was salty as well.
I recommend their fried foods, they are really good with the fryer, but I’m going to try the beef tongue steak next time.“

“The take-out box was convenient, if not finished in restaurant. The beef and chicken were great with the provided salad dressing, rather than the teriyaki sauce. It was placed as side as suggested by the host, especially that I was a diabetic. The water was refilled as needed, which was appreciated. I also asked for a second bowl of miso, which I enjoyed. Overall, it was great to have a meal at the Bento Box in Chino.“

“This place is good! Came in randomly and I left satisfied. The prices here are very reasonable. Great value. I didn't get sesame seeds, don't know if it's an option, but overall the food was still good. I kinda wish they charged a little more and gave more proteins in their meals. I had the chicken and beef combo. Their teriyaki sauce is goof and what you expect it to be. The char is nice on the chicken and the beef was tender. I will be back and I guess I'll ask if extra meat is a thing? Oh and I'll ask for sesame seeds and green onions.“

“Stopped by for a quick lunch after my pickleball game at La Habra. Got promptly seated and I appreciated the booth seating.

They have a good selection of Sushi, Udons, Grilled Dishes and Ramen. I opted to get a Sushi and Udon and it came out very well. The place has a good ambience for a quick lunch spot and service was on the mark !
