“Definitely mom and pop feel to it which I love! Sushi was good. Some of our rolls were cut pretty thick just fyi. Loss of star for the bathroom. It was trashed. But we enjoyed ourselves, no wait at 7pm on a Saturday so can’t complain there!!!!! Thanks for a good meal!“
“Just returning to a beloved old haunt of mine. I've loved this place since my first year of Uni at ULV. The matron and everyone else who works there are truly lovely people. The food is simply wonderful (Usually, the Spider Roll is my # 1 favorite, well, next to the Tempura Ice Cream that nowhere else in SoCal has managed to perfect like Aoki's ). The prices are hella affordable, for college students & state workers lolThe atmosphere is intimate and cozy. One could look at the decorations and photos displayed on the walls for hours and not get bored.Overall, it's an awesome place to go to.“
“Gerardo is amazing. The steak he cooked literally melted in my mouth. The best ive ever had. He went above and beyond in his show and even did something that I've never seen done before for my sons birthday. He was funny, engaging and everything he cooked was top notch.“
“BEST SUSHI IN THE AREA! Today was my first time trying Imari after my sister has not stopped talking about this place. Quality of the sushi is 10/10 and customer service is even better. The owners are so kind, genuine, and truly are passionate for what they do! We got the Rainbow Platter which is perfect to share for 2 and so fresh! I'll be coming back - this is my new go-to spot!“
“A feast to the eyes and for the palate. However, the whole omakase felt a bit rushed because there was a train of people standing behind us waiting to be seated for the next appointed timeslots. Also, they said it's 10 sushi but it's really like 7 because there's an appetizer that was more like a small plate of Hawaiian poke, a miso soup side dish and a green tea ice cream dessert at the end.Other than that, good experience though.“
“My husband and I are creatures of habit but we decided to try this ramen spot out for the first time. The servers were super friendly and fast. The chicken karaage and ramen came out hot! They also gave us complimentary edamame, which is cool. I'm definitely going to tell our friends and family about this little spot. Plus, the cat robot who runs the food was entertaining to watch.“
“Robots are distracting and loud at times and I prefer personal service. Food innovative and delicious. New/trainee waitress hesitant and seemed overwhelmed which allowed for more conversation. Things amiss are easily fixable: owner & staff stepped in, generously compensated and cared for us. The food is well worth it and we will return again & again.“
“Stopped here on a whim cause we were passing through the area. Glad we did. Ordered the chicken/steak bowl and it's super flavorful. Service was super friendly. Sad they weren't more packed but we may have just come at a non busy hour. Will definitely come here again. ?????“
“We keep coming back to this Japanese ramen and sushi restaurant because we love their takoyaki and noodles, And now they added different rolls in the menu. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. We love the ambiance as well and their restroom is so neat.“
“Decided to try a new place as I’ve been on a hunt for a good local sushi place and wow…….taste, presentation and service get 5 stars from me. Everything we need tried impressed me so much that I can’t wait to go back. The owner is also a seasoned sushi chef and he is there making the sushi which makes a world of difference.Like I said, I found my favorite spot ?“
“All That Sushi was just this side of ALL THAT!!The sushi is BEAUTIFUL and DELICIOUS! They have a great variety of selections and I enjoyed everything I tried. I did have a couple rolls that fell flat by themselves, but with my soy suace/wassabi dip - they were made great. The appearance of the rolls truly highlights the artistry of their chefs and their chef's attention to uniformity and detail (they have SO many different styles of the rectangular plates that they serve the sushi on - it speaks volumes). Please note, if you like salmon skin salad, theirs is GOOD! and has the perfect amount of skin in it (in my opinion). The servers are AWESOME - VERY attentive and conscientious! They bring your food dish by dish, meaning = as soon as each dish is ready, it comes to your table instead of it sitting and waiting for more things to be ready. One of the servers was so good, she remembered that we had come in to celebrate my wife's birthday about 2 months prior (even remembered the actual date ?).My only ding is that the location is small and the decor is really basic. The seating not the MOST comfortable, but it's not SO uncomfortable that you can't spend a good hour or so enjoying good food with good company. We are looking forward to getting our own chopsticks... ask your server what I'm talking about. ?All in all, I enjoy the location, the food, AND the service. OHHHHH... and the pricing is right on point with some other food spots we really like.#DateNightSpot #NewGoTo #ShareYourSpot #ImpressSomebody“
“First time visit. The sushi was excellent with a modern touch. The restaurant had a friendly vibe with a nice flow of customers. The only hiccup was the language barrier with the server. The server got visibly upset when my group had difficulty understanding the words. I will return for the food.“
“Mazesoba Hero's signature Lemon chicken karage is absolutely amazing?! It's crispy and tender and juicy! Every spoonful was a satisfying experience! karage maintained its crispiness even when immersed in the sauce.I recommend trying their Chicken Karage Mazesoba Ramen to anyone seeking a unique and delicious ramen experience.Yum! Yum!“
“Can't believe we've driven by so many times this place and didn't see it lol we finally gave it a try and we've been there couple of times already because the food is very good. The times we've been there it's been empty which we actually enjoyed and also very clean and nice. The food is well cooked and just flavorful and the staff is polite. The prices are a little higher than other places similar to it but it's worth it. Give it a try you won't regret it.“
“I will never eat at another sushi place again, especially in this area ! Kisetsu is the real deal. The fish is EXTREMELY fresh and the best quality I have had in a number of years. The service is superb and the owner Joel and team bring a fun vibe while in a nice cozy setting. I can't say enough about how good the food is here and a bonus is the affordable price points ! My friend who doesn't historically eat sushi now eats sushi after eating here! We can't wait to come back very soon. Thank Joel and team for such a great experience !“
“The ramen here is amazing! My favorite is their Toki Cheese Lovers ramen. The cheese melted perfectly and gave the broth a creamier taste. The broth is also full of flavor and aromatics. I also love their anime themed decor! Makes the overall experience even better.“
“Went here for the first time today. Was a late lunch and we were the only customers there. My wife ordered the Chnpon ramen I had the fried chicken ramen. We were served promptly by the efficient server. Both our dishes were flavorful and generous portions. Hard to understand the few reviewers who felt the food was bland. My wife has visited Japan and felt this was an authentic Japanese Raman . This is our go to ramen place. Highly recommended!“
“Extremely high quality Sushi and presentation. A variety of uncommon types of fish and delightful presentations including rare fish and appetizers. Beautiful flavors and a calm dining experience lead me to recommending this place highly.Parking: The parking is free next to the Walmart.Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly they can make whatever you'd like including egg sushi.“
“When I'm in the area, Miyako Sushi is the go to place if I'm craving sushi. They have an extensive variety and the fish is always fresh. They also offer other dishes as well, like Teriyaki chicken, beef and fish. The staff is very friendly and they always greet you with a smile. I highly recommend Miyako's Sushi.“
“Small cozy place definitely a hidden gem, hand rolls are delicious. Don't forget to pair it with a cold beer. Great fun atmosphere, Margaret & Richie are absolutely the best people around.Kid-friendliness: Margaret & Richie are very helpful and will accommodate to your needs.“
“Wevhave always came here and enjoyed it. Well recently we went to a highly recommended place in san dimas(won't say any name) and theirs was warm, service was bad and slow , and salmon was fishy so it reminded us how amazing the food is here at one spot and what great service we get everytime even when they are busy. I don't think we will try another AYCE again.Oh and i forgot to mention they have gluten free soy sauce and dye free wasabi.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free sauce and dye free wasabi.Downside.....no sashimi AYCE if on a diet“
“Delicious and Great service. Down to there well kept silverware and Dishes Thank you clean up crew in the Shadows.Kid-friendliness: Anything that lights up a spark on your food makes for a Cool Post.Wheelchair accessibility: Comes with clearance for both,E-scooters and Wheel chairs.“
“Popped in here because the Bento photos looked so appealing. They did not disappoint. We enjoyed a ton of tasty food (could easily have fed two a normal meal) served by the friendliest staff! The tayaki were a little gummy in the center but maybe that's intentional? We will definitely stop by again when we are in the area! Limited seating but we easily got a spot for an early dinner.“
“What a gem! The Premium chirashi bowl was absolutely delicious! And Uni and Ikura don - so good you want to squeak with every bite. Japanese uni was tender and sweet, perfect! And lunch prices are super reasonable.Note: Makomae opens at 11:30 am, but by that time there's already a line of people waiting.“
“This was my very first visit. I am so upset that I have not been here before. I've been depriving myself of their food for so long! The sushi was immaculate. The service was very friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is very comfortable and has great vibes.“
“This restaurant was a last minute find on our search for a dinner place. I was in the mood for soup and noodles, and the husband willingly obliged. We ordered the shrimp tempura udon and pork katsu curry. The shrimp tempura was still crispy when it was served, noodles had a bouncy bite, and the broth was flavorful. My husband isn't too big of a soup person, and he slurped almost all the soup! The pork katsu curry was exactly what we wanted. Curry was on point, and the rice was cooked perfectly! (It sounds silly, but poorly cooked rice can ruin a dish). There was also a creamy udon on the menu that I'd like to try next time. Our server was quick and profession. The inside of the cafe was so cute and inviting. It's decorated well with comfy chairs and couches, exposed red brick, and hanging chandeliers, which also makes this a great spot to read or get some work done.“
“Great place, reminds me of Japan. Very clean and very friendly staff. The Nigiri Sushi was great and very filling. The Miso was great and the actual tofu chunks were a great sight to see. Definitely a must try and if local I'd be a regular.Arigato Gosaimasu!“
“Ordered the hamburg steak with corn soup, omurice with corn soup, and a scoop of potato salad.Pros:- You get so much food for the price you pay- Great service despite being busy- The shrimp tempura is massive (lots of meat and not just breading)- Salad dressing is deliciousCon:- They use Styrofoam for their takeaway boxes“
“I have now eaten both takeout and dine-in at Heemo Sushi, and the quality was great in both settings. The first time was dine-in with a friend, and the only thing that was a little confusing was that my friend and I waited for probably 10-15 minutes for them to seat us when it seemed like there were multiple open tables. Not sure if they were just short-staffed, but maybe a brief mention of the reason for the wait would have helped our experience just so we weren't wondering. The food was great - my favorite was the "Spring" roll with various fish wrapped in thin slices of cucumber, and no rice. Definitely a great choice when you're reaching middle age and trying to cut carbs that your aging body can no longer burn like it could when you were 20. Also a bonus: the server gave us a free little salad with fish and tomatoes. Sounds a little odd, but it was pretty good, definitely as a freebie. Will come again!“
“Parking can be a challenge depending on what time of the day. The menu does have some images to help illustrate the food. Staff is friendly, service is quick, we stopped by during lunch time. When we arrived the place was empty, when we left it was packed. The food portion is just right, does not put you into the food coma afterwards. They do have high chairs, so definitely kid friendly. This restaurant is located on the corner right across from where Daiso is located.“
“Love the atmosphere and the food is delicious! Lucky for me it's close by! Each time I go I try something different and it never disappoints - tonight's shrimp udon was one of the best I've ever had! The atmosphere is pink and a little girly, romantic, great spot for a first date guys!Vegetarian options: Veggie tempura, veggie noodles, veggie rolls....“
“I've been going here for years and this place does not disappoint! The food is fresh and prepared perfectly. The restaurant is small and offers outdoor seating with fire pits. The service is great and the food is amazing. I ordered the firecracker wontons, baked yellowtail collar and cucumber crab salad, all my favorite dishes. Parking isn't too convenient but not that bad. I would definitely recommend this place, the freshness and quality of food is excellent.“
“The food is amazing for a very reasonable price, but I think the service differs depending on who's working. The first time I came with my Latina friend and the staff person also appeared to be Latina (she was speaking Spanish to some other customers while we were there); she noticeably treated my friend preferentially and was short with me when I asked questions about the menu and how to order since it was my first time, which ended up making me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. Then when I tried to pay, my payment failed the first time so she told me to insert my card again, but she "helped" by tapping on the screen for me and selecting the highest tip for herself without giving me a choice. I told her that wasn't the tip option I wanted to select but she gave me a dirty look and told me I couldn't go back, so I just had to pay the amount she selected or risk making a big fuss. Then she didn't offer me a receipt, which I think is just bad service considering she overcharged me, but maybe it's because she didn't want me to find out her name (since the server name is usually printed on your receipt). When our food came out, my friend's meal was neatly packaged so that she could take it to go, but my poke bowl didn't have a lid on it even though I was also taking it to go, and I had to ask for one, which she also treated like I was being an inconvenience. It was a really off-putting experience. My second time here, I came back with a different friend and ordered the exact same thing because the food quality was great, it was just the service that sucked, so I figured I'd give the place a second chance. Thankfully my second time was a lot better. The server (Michelle, based on my receipt) was very sweet and I didn't experience any problems. So I will probably keep eating here in the future, but I would not like to encounter the rude staff person from my first time again.“
“Food was amazing, it was quiet and mostly empty when I went. There was a moment nearing the end of my meal when a Karen came in and sat herself, and started to hassle the server over mistranslation of words (from Japanese to English) so she yelled at them and stormed out. Either way, dinner and a show. And a complimentary miso soup would go back again for sure. Service 10/10“
“AWESOME FOOD AND SERVICE!!! Please support this small business!!! The food is awesome and at the best price point!!! I had the black garlic ramen and I thought it was great! My mom had the tonkotsu ramen and she loved it! We shared the rainbow roll and thought it was VERY good and fresh! The owners are very nice and hospitable. Their kindness shows in their delicious food. They have lunch specials every day for $9.99. My family and I will be trying their lunch specials next time! Also, if you're looking for somewhere that caters for big parties, they offer catering too! If you decide to come to Suki Suki, it's kind of hidden away and next door to Little Skewer. But it's DEFINITELY WORTH IT!!“
“Vegetarian options: Vegetarian and vegan options availableDietary restrictions: GF items available, not sure about strict GF prep areaWheelchair accessibility: Handicapped spot right in front. Ramp nearby. The door is not automatic but is made of glass, so staff can see if you need help.“
“Fantastic place to eat sushi and food inspired by Nippon. The ‘All You Can Eat’ sushi is not just restricted to sushi you can have miso soup, salads, & ice cream!I would have rated the “atmosphere” a 5 start if sumo sushi changed a few things:- Photo of the current & past Yokozuna. Can’t have sumo in the name and not grant honor to the current and past greats.- replays of “Grand Sumo Highlights” from NHK World English on the tv, instead of generic ‘sports channel’ like poker tournament.- traditional music instead of “pop/alternative rock” would improve the atmosphere and make you feel like you’re in a legit sushi bar in Hokkaido.Overall it’s an amazing place to experience sushi - there are 3 rounds in the ‘AYCE’ and my wife and I couldn’t get past the first - you’re served that much and it’s all very delicious.I plan on returning with friends and family.“
“It was a cold and stormy night, so we ordered Ramen and Uber delivered. The broth is banging, the pork is tender and flavorful and the noodles are nice and slurpy. Looking forward to visiting in person and not having to warm my broth up in the microwave. Until then, 30 seconds will do it.“
“If you want to try an old fashioned Charbroiled Cheeseburger look no further. This restaurant serves up a delicious Cheeseburger accompanied by some delicious fries. As a Cheeseburger enthusiast, I give this establishment two thumbs up to the Chef for making the most delicious Cheeseburger in the Pomona Valley. ?“
“Had to stop for a quick charge and the sushi came right on time, quick service and delicious sushi. Fair prices as well.Wasn't too packed but i came on a Tuesday at 12~ so I didn't expect a lot of people in there anyway but im sure service would've been quick and on point even with extra traffic.“
“Went In for lunch with my wife. I had the teriyaki beef lunch special. It came with Miso Soup, small salad, teriyaki beer with steamed rice, and a crispa California roll. Food was good but my only gripe with it was that the steamed rice tasted a bit old and hard. I also asked for spicy Mayo to go with my sushi roll, but I never got it. The waitress didn't really check up on us, but overall the food was pretty good.“
“One of my favorite sushi spots in the area. They have great happy hour deals (after 3pm). I especially like the crab hand roll. Great service...it's as if all of the waitstaff teams up to help all of the customers. Always nice and friendly.“
“The sushi here is a true work of art! Every roll and nigiri was crafted with precision and care, highlighting the chef's dedication to quality. The variety of fish and toppings offered allowed for a culinary exploration that was both exciting and satisfying. The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, and the staff were knowledgeable and attentive. It's evident that this place takes pride in delivering an exceptional sushi experience. Highly recommended for sushi enthusiasts and newcomers alike! 10/10.“
“I've come here many times for the Poki, but recently tried the ramen and was not disappointed! Both the regular tonkotsu and the miso tonkotsu have bouncy noodles and a rich, satisfying broth. And a generous serving of pork, which I enjoyed immensely. The interior is very a straightforward design, and the staff are always friendly and helpful. They were great at answering all of my ramen topping questions, lol! Will be back for more.“
“Just a little hole in the wall , with really good food, older decor, nothing special for dining in, but really good food and fast with a friendly staff, definitely more of a lunch or dinner take out place, but really good food, did I mention the really good food?“
“This intimate sushi restaurant punches far above its diminutive weight. Despite having seating for less than a dozen and being staffed by a sole server, the quality of food and service left an enduring impression. Rolls married creative textures and ingredients in pleasing harmony. While the dining area barely fit my small party, the solitary attendant's endless charm and hospitality turned our cozy meal into a memorable evening. For sushi lovers yearning creative rolls, melt-in-your-mouth sashimi and attentive service, all artfully presented, this tiny restaurant offers an experience certain to delight.“
“There aren't very many places in the vicinity that serves fresh and healthy servings. Omakases are pricey but worth it. There's never a time where we didn't wait less than 15 minutes; often, the wait is 30 minutes to an hour. A bit darker than some of the other sushi places but the ambiance matched the intent and the demographics of the regular people.“
“It's hard to find a place with really fresh sushi. You can taste the freshness. We typically go for the sashimi plates. It's always so good that we wished we had ordered a bigger plate. *oink*The service is good and the place is cozy and clean. It's in an unsuspecting location and you may have driven by and ignored it. We did until we found it on Yelp.“
“This is an amazing family run sushi spot. The chef creates some high class sushi and the service is wonderful. We usually order take out and not dine in and on the weekend be sure to get your order in online early. We usually get the top 4 sampler plater. Great deal! Super yummy food.“
“I'm just blown away.... Like just wow. The restaurant looks like any regular hole in the wall dine in restaurant but what you get in terms of the food and the deal? Amazing! The tonkotsu was pure heaven, so much so that I'm not one to finish the broth usually but I forced myself to do the best I could with this one. The pork slices and the noodles are the perfect tenderness. Servers are very attentive and patient from start to finish. The really amazing deal was that your first two Sapporo or Hot Sake bottles are 99 cents too! Major plus that they play the best indie hits; I even heard my artists on the Playlist. I'm just blown away. It's hard to find great ramen in this neck of the woods but this place proves you don't have to live in orange county to get the same quality.“
