We shared a bento box and a rainbow roll for our lunch, it was so good. Not only were we very happy with the quality but there was plenty of food to fill both of us up. “I really loved this place! Such a good spot for date night. I really enjoyed the bbq ribs appetizer. My boyfriend had the fried oysters appetizer all to himself. I loved the albacore served with very thin slices of onion and a small bed of rice. The California roll was superb. Washed it all down with their Nigori sake & crème brûlée. Love that they are open late on Saturdays too. 10/10 for me 😍“

Got a 2 protein poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I asked for half rice and half salad, but wow there's a LOT of rice. My brother didn't mind since he likes rice, but I was a bit peeved. (EDIT: Oh, also the poke bowl is drowned in sauce. My brother loves eel sauce so he was glad, but just letting other customers know!)

The staff behind the counter was nice and was patient with me while I was asking my brother for the toppings and sauces that he wanted in his poke bowl. Sorry I took so long, at least there was no one in the store!

“Tried the Ninja Roll, Tuna Roll, and Salmon Roll and honestly everything was so good. The sushi rolls were huge. I’ve had a lot of sushi around Orange County, but this was probably the thickest sushi roll I’ve ever had.

The shrimp tempura was also impressive. The shrimp itself was really big and thick. I don’t think I’ve seen tempura shrimp like this anywhere else in OC.

The salad was surprisingly amazing too. Definitely don’t skip it.

We finished with macaron ice cream for dessert and it was a perfect ending.

The owner was very kind, and there were 2–3 chefs working when we visited. The shorter chef was especially friendly and made the experience even better.

It is very different than asian sushi, this being said all the sushis I've had from this place have been AMAZING! Their servers are nice and polite. The food is very good, specially if you have had sushi or sea food from Culiacan. In their menu it references many places from Culiacan Sinaloa, which I think was pretty clever. “Restaurant is AYCE for all patrons. There are 2 dinner options - the lesser rate includes limited carpaccio, but no sashimi. The higher cost dinner has unlimited carpaccio and unlimited sashimi. I think the price is worth it for what you can get. Went here mid-week for dinner and wait time was pretty fast. Once we placed our orders using the QR code on our phone, the orders came out quick. Everything tasted good, though it was in small servings so you'd have to order in multiples if you're a large group. The sushi rolls had slightly too much rice I think which fills you up fast. The nigiri had the right amount of rice, which was very little. The carpaccio had 5 kinds of fish options, all tasted really good. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. The tables were placed a little too close together (you can hear conversations at next tables). Overall atmosphere was OK. We'd come back here again.“

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Chino Hills, Kiku Sushi is it. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance transports you — the traditional banners, warm lighting, and J-pop playing in the background set the perfect mood.
The service was wonderful. Our waiters were so sweet and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience.
Now the food — where do I even start? Everything was absolutely incredible. The fish on the nigiri was unbelievably fresh, like caught-that-morning fresh. You could taste the quality in every single piece. The Cucumber Fantasy roll was hands-down my favorite — light, refreshing, and perfectly put together. We also had the garlic edamame, a rainbow roll, and some beautiful sashimi-topped rolls, and there wasn’t a single miss on the table. We also paired everything with a Sapporo and a Terra beer, which hit perfectly with the meal.
We left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied. Kiku Sushi is now a go-to spot for us.
