“I got the teriyaki combo! I love the taste of grilled chicken or beef... Not just cooked on a hot surface, ya know? It hit the spot! The gentleman was cool and attentive! I came in early afternoon 2:00pm so there was alot of room to find seating. The size of the meal was more than I can handle 🤣 , I liked that they gave me sauce on my the side 👍 I liked the pictures they had adorning the restaurant inside. I didn't realize I hadn't taken a picture of the meal. I will next time 👉👉🤙 great spot... support small businesses! I will be back soon.“

“Chicken Katsu lunch special is really great value. Spicy katsu sauce is the right amount of spice and flavor, and the salad dressing makes the salad pretty good. Taiyaki was made fresh and tasted great. Wish there was an option to buy less Taiyaki though; 5 is a little too much for even two people.“

Kiku Sushi – Chino Hills
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Chino Hills, Kiku Sushi is it. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance transports you — the traditional banners, warm lighting, and J-pop playing in the background set the perfect mood.
The service was wonderful. Our waiters were so sweet and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience.
Now the food — where do I even start? Everything was absolutely incredible. The fish on the nigiri was unbelievably fresh, like caught-that-morning fresh. You could taste the quality in every single piece. The Cucumber Fantasy roll was hands-down my favorite — light, refreshing, and perfectly put together. We also had the garlic edamame, a rainbow roll, and some beautiful sashimi-topped rolls, and there wasn’t a single miss on the table. We also paired everything with a Sapporo and a Terra beer, which hit perfectly with the meal.
We left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied. Kiku Sushi is now a go-to spot for us. If you love great sushi in a genuine Japanese atmosphere with kind people taking care of you, don’t sleep on this place. 10/10 would come back tomorrow. Fair warning — I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures of half the rolls before demolishing them. That’s how good it is.“

“It couldve been because I was early, dining in and the broth didn't develop a bitter after taste from over cooking, but it's been awhile since I've had good ramen. The champion ramen had a good mixture of wet and dry flavors. Chashu + seaweed had a subtle fish dry taste vibe which is new. Noodles were chewy and not clumpy mouth feel. Broth and ground pork were rich but not overly. Overall taste + texture was superb and especially warming during the winter. Also the waiter Rick is such a homeboy and service is amazing.
Last time I liked having ramen was when I was running around in an orange jumper. Hope the guys and gals stay in business.“

“The service at little Tokyo exceeded all expectations. The staff was not only knowledgeable about the menu but also displayed a genuine passion for the culinary creations. They were attentive without being intrusive, and their recommendations were spot-on. Special dietary requests were accommodated with a smile, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. The pacing of the courses was perfect, allowing us to savor each moment without feeling rushed.“

“I order takeout from here all the time because the food is very very very good. The service is always very excellent My only concern is where it's located. I usually get delivery because I don't like the location of where this is. If it wasn't located where it is I would definitely be going there quite often. But if you know anything about this location you know what I'm talking about. But I do keep them busy with delivery I'll tell you what.“

“Very authentic in atmosphere, food, and service. I got the chirashi bowl and it was absolutely delicious. Fresh. Excellent texture. I was such a huge fan of their sushi rice as well! They have lunch specials that I clue miso soup and salad. Highly recommend coming here for lunch. Your whole party must be there to be seated and it gets busy (always a good sign).“

“Located right next to Cal Poly college, Jinza Teriyaki is a great spot to eat after classes, my all time favorite is the Loco Moco bowl. The people are incredibly nice and especially early the place is a nice quite area to eat in. My only wish is that they would open earlier as someone who's out n about by 7am, but I understand not wanting to open at the crack of dawn.“

“Midoh is one of those spots that instantly feels like comfort food done right. If you’re craving Japanese homestyle cooking—the kind that’s warm, hearty, and hits you with that “ahhh, this is exactly what I needed” feeling—this place delivers every time.“

“First time patrons. Family of 4, husband and two teens. We did the AYCE and it was really good! All the rolls were fresh, generously proportioned. The only down side (very minor) is the drink selection. No fountain drinks, individual cans. When you have two teens....it can add up very quickly. It's not a deal breaker though, the atmosphere was quiet and quaint, service was excellent, will definitely go back!!“

“I absolutely LOVE AB Shabu (City of Industry)! Service is very friendly and charming, and the food is WONDERFUL. The location does look a bit old (i.e. faded paint, boxes in corner), but it's serious DELICIOUS food. This is a local, hidden gem.
Customers choose the meat (ex: angus beef ribeye, lamb, etc); customers select the soup base (ex: house base, spicy miso base, etc); and the fresh ingredients and bubbling, boiling soup arrives with fluffy steamed rice. There's even a sauce bar (ex: sesame sauce, satay sauce, etc) for customers.
WOW! My family and I had an AMAZING time. We tasted the Angus Beef Ribeye, Angus Beef Prime Short Rib, Pork Belly, Lamb, Fried Potato Shrimps, and Soft Shell Crab.) Dipping that fresh meat into that bubbling boiling broth, and chewing greedily on it with a scoop of fluffy rice was so GOOD! My personal favorite was the Angus Beef Prime Short Rib dipped in the Spicy Miso Soup Base (Mild). The Soft Shell Crab also tasted very clean and delicious.
As mentioned, Staff is a delight. During my dining experience, I only remember smiling faces. And staff is very hard working and diligent. I remember when the kind male host showed me the sauces and gave exemplary recommendations.
Ambiance is a weak part of this place, but this business is clean. It's not a flashy spot (ex: faded paint, boxes in corner), but there's sincere care. It's well-maintained. Customers sit at a table with a stove and fan vent on top. My family and I still felt comfortable throughout the experience.
Overall, AB Shabu (City of Industry) is absolutely delicious. I left with a full belly and a happy smile. I wholeheartedly recommend.“

“We always like to go to Picnic Time to get their Yubu. It's a small and cute cafe, but the ambiance is welcoming and comfortable. They also have a lot of new items on the menu. We ordered their seared salmon Yubu x 3, one Kimchi Yubu, one Lemon Ponzu Salmon Yubu, and one eel Yubu.
The food was fresh and delicious. The server was friendly.“

“I was looking for a place nearby on my lunch break - and was craving teriyaki. Price is decent for portion. I got a chicken and beef teriyaki bowl, and the food was very savory. I just wish they added a scoop of veggies to make it a more balanced meal. But still tasty.“

“This place doesn’t try to be trendy, which is honestly why I like it. The fish tastes fresh every time and the cuts are generous compared to a lot of other spots nearby. Service is straightforward and quick, and the menu leans more classic than experimental. If you’re expecting over-the-top fusion rolls this isn’t it, but if you want clean, reliable sushi, this hits.“

“You order on a pad... The pad has pictures also. A bunch of categories like drinks, appetizers and such. Select what you want and it keeps a tally. When ready, place your order and it goes to the kitchen. Servers are on the ball and very helpful. Didn't take pictures but everyone was happy at our meal. Friend ordered chicken katsu kare with medium curry. Along with a small yellowtail sashimi dish and some pickled radishes and cucumbers. Other friend order some unagi hand rolls. I had the pork tonkatsu kare with medium spicy curry also. We shared a small bottle of cold sake. Everything was tasty. Will come back!“

“This was the best teppanyaki spot in the inland empire. I was blown away by the food and show. Alex was our chef and he was amazing. There was a special sirracha he made for us that was the best I have ever had. The resturant is very cute inside and my family had a blast.“

“I originally went next door to the pita to go place and after standing inside the dark restaurant for 7 minutes a rude guy came out and was so rude I wasn’t going to spend my hard earned money inside this establishment so I went next door to wasabi n roll “sushi “ and I’m so glad I did… I ordered the bento #1 beef and it was soooo amazing and what was even more amazing was the customer service and the cleanliness of this establishment. I’m actually back again for the 2nd time this week lol“

“My hubby and my daughters celebrated my birthday at Ishi Sushi last night because I suggested going there, and we all liked their food. We ordered two (H4) orders of Chirashi, one (C12) una don (eel don), and I ordered (C13) the Chilean Seabass. The owners were very friendly. As we spoke with them casually, the lady knew it was my birthday yesterday. She said they would serve me a complimentary cake as dessert later. The Chirashi bowl had tuna (2), salmon (2), shrimp (1), white fish (1), yellow tail (1), albacore (1), uni (1), smelt egg (1), tamago (1), & salmon egg. The portions were good, and the fish was so fresh and delicious. My hubby and older daughter liked their Chirashi bowls. For the una don (eel served over the rice), my younger daughter also liked it so much. I liked my Chilean Seabass. It was served with salad and miso soup. The Chilean Seabass was fresh and flavorful with a tangy, sweet flavor. They provided a piece of lemon wedge, so I squeezed some lemon juice on it before eating. Then the owner brought us the Japanese Yuzu cheesecake. I was surprised that the owner gave our entire party slices of complimentary cake, rather than just one for the birthday person; mine even came with a candle. It was very generous of them. The Yuzu cheesecake was very delicious. The service was great, and they were very friendly.“

“I recently tried Koki Ku Sushi, a newer Japanese restaurant in Duarte, and came away pleasantly surprised.
I stopped by for their lunch special and found the service attentive and welcoming throughout the meal. The 5-piece chef's choice premium nigiri was fresh and enjoyable, with each piece offering a nice variety of flavors.
I also ordered the Salmon Teriyaki with Spicy Tuna Roll combo. The teriyaki salmon was flavorful, although the slices were a bit thinner compared to what I've had at other sushi spots. The spicy tuna roll was generously portioned and filling enough to make for a satisfying lunch.
The restaurant itself has a clean, modern design and is conveniently located in the Target plaza, where parking is plentiful and easy. Overall, Koki Ku Sushi is a nice addition to the Duarte dining scene, and I'll be back to try more items from their menu.“

“A Delightful Sushi Experience! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The sushi was outstanding—fresh, expertly crafted, and beautifully presented. The chef’s special sashimi, were bursting with flavor. The nigiri was a standout, with perfectly seasoned rice and melt-in-your-mouth fish. Service was impeccable; the staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. They even made excellent recommendations based on my preferences. One thing to note: Fillet doesn’t have a liquor license yet, so if you’re someone who enjoys pairing sushi with sake or wine, this might be a consideration. They said it’s coming soon, I can’t wait to come back here again.“

“Service was good and friendly. So were the chefs. In my honest opinion I don't think this place is authentically owned by Japanese people though, because the portions are HUGE like the rolls are 3-4x the size of a normal sushi roll but with 1/2 the flavor from what I am used to. It tasted good enough but not the authentic Japanese super flavorful delicate sushi I was looking for. The rolls was so big, there's not way you can fit the whole thing in your mouth at once so I tried to cut it but the seaweed was soft and wouldn't cut...lolll.. the plate became a destroyed piece of cut roll and I had to eat each piece in a smaller piece which ruins the flavor. There is way too much rice on the rolls. The restroom was not bad but also not great. They ran out of toilet seat covers and was slightly unkempt. A real Japanese owned restaurant would have an immaculate restroom. Inside was loud every table was prety much full.“

“We were in the mood for some good ramen and sushi and ended up coming here after looking at the reviews and pictures. Needless to say this place was delicious and has a good variety of different options. Definitely recommend checking out the mixed tempura, soft shell crab and the spicy tonkotsu ramen. Hard such a hard time deciding on a roll but ended up going with a caterpillar roll that was very delicious and fresh. Good price and good quality for the location. Definitely coming back for more.“
