He don’t really eat fish, but when he tasted the hamachi kama , he said it’s the best tasting grilled fish. “Amazing experience. At first I was wary when I realized the restaurant was in an older hotel next door to Disneyland but I admit I was absolutely wrong. The restaurant was good enough to be one you could find in any five star resort or Michelin guide. The service was absolutely amazing. The entire staff was welcoming and extra nice to us. The chef was from Japan and had fifty years experience as a sushi chef in Japan. The food was amazing and I can’t state that enough. It was to die for. Some of the best real sushi I’ve had in years and not Tex mex sushi. This was an emphasis on the fish. The Wagyu was some of the best I’ve had in years. Everything was amazing. I will be back.“

If you’re looking for an authentic Japanese dining experience in Chino Hills, Kiku Sushi is it. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance transports you — the traditional banners, warm lighting, and J-pop playing in the background set the perfect mood.
The service was wonderful. Our waiters were so sweet and attentive, always checking in without being overbearing. You can tell the staff genuinely cares about the experience.
Now the food — where do I even start? Everything was absolutely incredible. The fish on the nigiri was unbelievably fresh, like caught-that-morning fresh. You could taste the quality in every single piece. The Cucumber Fantasy roll was hands-down my favorite — light, refreshing, and perfectly put together. We also had the garlic edamame, a rainbow roll, and some beautiful sashimi-topped rolls, and there wasn’t a single miss on the table. We also paired everything with a Sapporo and a Terra beer, which hit perfectly with the meal.
We left absolutely stuffed and completely satisfied. Kiku Sushi is now a go-to spot for us. “Got Sushi is an amazing little spot to go to if you’re looking for high quality filling sushi rolls that get the job done. Not as high priced as other places which is great, but the quality still stands tall. I’m loving the vibes here, nothing but good energy so far from what we experienced. “What a perfect hole in the wall Sushi spot. I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Disney. Narrowed it down to Hana out of 50 sushi restaurants. How this restaurant only has a 4.5 rating is besides me. Absolutely incredible service and food. FREE MISO SOUP!!! Yes, you read that correctly. They also have ACE if you are a big eater. There is a small alcohol serving too. The location has outdoor seating, but I didn't see anyone using it. I ordered a regular Tuna roll as part of dinner, and it came with the rice on the out. It was perfectly fresh and delicious. I asked if the Chef can do Tuna Maki as off the menu, and he pulled through! I cant say enough good things. 5 Stars all the way. I hope I can return.
Tip: Parking is limited.

“I live nearby and would like to support this Bar 100%. Staff and food quality and cleanliness are equally excellent. Have been going to this bar for more than 5YRs. Also, the location and the next-door wonderful restaurants are attractive to hang out.
This review is to suggest a few things that might attract more traffic: providing options of peanut-sauces (I loved the P. sauce from California Shabu Shabu but chose this Bar to support the business), installing the led-blinking light with a design for the interior wall and wrap around the bar. “Oh man where to begin! This place is a hidden gem that I was recently taken to. Ever since going my first time about a month ago, I’ve been back 5 times! The bluefin nigiri is probably the best nigiri I’ve had in Orange County (The bluefin keeps us coming back week after week). If I were to recommend anything, it would have to be the bluefin. The yellowtail and salmon nigiri are just as amazing. You can’t go wrong with anything here—the fish is incredibly fresh and flavorful, and each roll and nigiri is so unique in its own way and flavor profile. They are also incredibly generous with portion size and price! We love sitting at the bar because it makes the experience so much better!

Apart from the food, what also keeps me keeping back is the amazing hospitality and service! Whenever we walk in, we are greeted by the entire staff—the sushi chefs, hosts, and servers. The staff take great pride in ensuring that guests are taken care of, and they genuinely enjoy getting to know their guests on a personal and grounded level. A special mention to Torrance, Jay, and Robbin (The sushi chefs) who consistently put out amazing nigiri and rolls for us! “First time patrons. Family of 4, husband and two teens. We did the AYCE and it was really good! All the rolls were fresh, generously proportioned. The only down side (very minor) is the drink selection. No fountain drinks, individual cans. When you have two teens....it can add up very quickly. It's not a deal breaker though, the atmosphere was quiet and quaint, service was excellent, will definitely go back!!“

“I absolutely LOVE AB Shabu (City of Industry)! Service is very friendly and charming, and the food is WONDERFUL. The location does look a bit old (i.e. faded paint, boxes in corner), but it's serious DELICIOUS food. This is a local, hidden gem.

Customers choose the meat (ex: angus beef ribeye, lamb, etc); customers select the soup base (ex: house base, spicy miso base, etc); and the fresh ingredients and bubbling, boiling soup arrives with fluffy steamed rice. There's even a sauce bar (ex: sesame sauce, satay sauce, etc) for customers.

WOW! My family and I had an AMAZING time. We tasted the Angus Beef Ribeye, Angus Beef Prime Short Rib, Pork Belly, Lamb, Fried Potato Shrimps, and Soft Shell Crab.) Dipping that fresh meat into that bubbling boiling broth, and chewing greedily on it with a scoop of fluffy rice was so GOOD! My personal favorite was the Angus Beef Prime Short Rib dipped in the Spicy Miso Soup Base (Mild). The Soft Shell Crab also tasted very clean and delicious.

As mentioned, Staff is a delight. During my dining experience, I only remember smiling faces. And staff is very hard working and diligent. I remember when the kind male host showed me the sauces and gave exemplary recommendations.

Ambiance is a weak part of this place, but this business is clean. It's not a flashy spot (ex: faded paint, boxes in corner), but there's sincere care. It's well-maintained. Customers sit at a table with a stove and fan vent on top. My family and I still felt comfortable throughout the experience.

Overall, AB Shabu (City of Industry) is absolutely delicious. I left with a full belly and a happy smile. I wholeheartedly recommend.“

“The take-out box was convenient, if not finished in restaurant. The beef and chicken were great with the provided salad dressing, rather than the teriyaki sauce. It was placed as side as suggested by the host, especially that I was a diabetic. The water was refilled as needed, which was appreciated. I also asked for a second bowl of miso, which I enjoyed. Overall, it was great to have a meal at the Bento Box in Chino.“

“Out of every single sushi I have tried, not a single one fails to disappoint me. Their crab meat is the best and it does not get better than theirs. Such low prices for VERY high quality and savory foods. Their poki bowls are the best too. Hot warm rice mixed with fresh cold seafood goes perfect with any weather. Especially when it is so savory and refreshing. The prices are shocking for how high quality their food is. Regarding prices, this place has the best seafood out of every single seafood place I have tried in all of Orange and in general. The variety of food is good, the small place is cute, I love the decorations, they are welcoming and their lighting is pretty, it is cozy. The people are always so kind when taking your order. When there is no one, your food comes quickly, very fast for the amount of workers.“
