Lunch omakase deal is great for $68. Friendly servers and chefs. The one we had today was very friendly and engaged in conversation. All the fish tasted fresh and loved the pairings that went with them.

They put a candle in the dessert for the birthday person which is a nice touch. Would totally go back!“

Overall, the food is great and flavorful. The curry is slightly sweet and savory, not the floral or overly spiced one. I love that the food stays hot since they're served on sizzling plates/bowl. I loved dipping my burger into the sauce. It was definitely an experience!

“We had a wonderful dining experience at Ootoro Bar! The sashimi and sushi were incredibly fresh and beautifully prepared. The Umami truffle pasta was rich and flavorful, and the sea bass was perfectly cooked 👍 I also really enjoyed the avocado & seaweed salad — so refreshing and delicious.

“A very good hotpot restaurant. Best in S. Cal. We had the standard AYCE option. You need to watch when the servers deliver the meat as the highest quality meat will get taken quickly. Same for the lobster rolls. I highly recommend that you give this place a try.“

“If you are looking for top-tier sushi in Tustin, look no further. Heemo Sushi is an absolute game-changer, and it is so much nicer than the previous place located at this spot.

From start to finish, the meal was phenomenal. The sushi quality is completely off the charts—you can instantly tell they use real, premium-grade ingredients by the gorgeous, thick cuts of fish draped over the rice. Not only is the quality incredible, but the portion sizes are wonderfully generous.

Every detail of the meal hit the mark:

“I would give it 15 stars out of 10 if I could! It has the quality of top tier Japanese Beverly Hills Restaurants at a fraction of the price. I ordered the lunch combo and picked tempura and teriyaki chicken. It came with soup , salad, rice, and even daikon for the tempura dipping sauce and a delicious orange slice. The portion size is so generous! There was a lot of tempura! The teriyaki sauce is one of the best I have ever had. I also ordered a shrimp tempura cut roll with creamy spicy mayo. Something about their rice is special it is the perfect texture. There was so much flavor in the sauce without it being too sweet or heavy. I could taste every ingredient in the roll. The lunch combo was only $15.50 for top tier quality and this is coming from someone who ate lots of Japanese food and sushi in Beverly Hills. This is my new favorite Japanese restaurant cause you get top tier quality for a great price AND generous portion sizes especially with the lunch bento box combo. The staff was so nice too. I love the authentic Japanese owner and the tatamis, it really adds to the ambience. A+++“

“Sushi bear is so good! I was craving oysters and thought about going to Honda-Ya but the line was too long. I wandered in on a Thursday night and was kindly greeted and seated quickly. Ordered the kamamoto oysters which hit the spot. I also ordered the sushi combo which came with a Hawaiian roll, everything was fresh and delicious. The staff and chef were so kind. Needless to say I left full and happy ☺“

“The fish to rice ratio on nigiri is extremely high. The service is very fast; they don't make you wait between rounds. The quality is good enough, similar to other ayce sushi restaurants. It's slightly on the expensive side, but if you're there for dinner/weekend it's the same price as anywhere else and a better experience.“
