I appreciate high quality food, a cozy atmosphere, and pairings that compliment one another. This spot has all of those. I have tried everything on the lunch menu and attended dinner. I haven't been disappointed with one bite.

I’ve been to Kuramoto twice now—once for dinner and once for lunch—and both were amazing. The fish is incredibly fresh and you definitely don’t leave hungry!
Some favorites were the buttery white fish nigiri, the fatty tuna with pickled radish (I got seconds of both 😂), and the grilled unagi over rice. The unagi was TOP TIER and genuinely took me back to Japan. I wish I could order takeout of just a giant bowl of it.

Kuramoto is a unique Omakase restaurant in Orange County, led by the passionate Chef Taiki Kuramoto. With only 10 bar seats, the classy interior provides an exclusive and intimate dining experience. The lunch Omakase features exquisite sushi courses that impress with their quality and presentation. While some diners found the pacing a bit fast and noted that the toro and pickled radish combo was overpowering, the overall experience is highly recommended. The shiso sorbet dessert is a standout. Kuramoto offers a memorable culinary journey for lovers of Japanese cuisine at a reasonable price.
