“Worth the wait“

“I had a wonderful experience at Hello Sushi Brea and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality sushi and a comfortable dining experience.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt clean, calm, and welcoming — the kind of place where you can relax and truly enjoy your meal. The staff were genuinely friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Service throughout the meal was smooth and well-paced, which made the entire experience even more enjoyable.
The food itself was excellent. The sushi was extremely fresh, with great attention to detail in both flavor and presentation. Each piece tasted clean and well-balanced, and you could tell that quality ingredients were being used. Nothing felt rushed or overly commercial — everything was prepared with care. The menu also offers a nice variety, making it easy to find options whether you prefer classic rolls or something a bit more creative.

The food here is great and the price is fair but my family of 4 had stopped going to this restaurant for to-go orders because everything was packed in individual unrecyclable Styrofoam containers. We would end up with 2 grocery bags of foam that was going to end up in the landfill.
I tried this spot again and now they are using plastic. Thank you for making the change!“

“We did the AYCE on a Wed night. There was no wait and service was exceptional! Ery kind and friendly staff! We loved the nigiri options and thought there was a great selection and variety of both rolls and appetizers. My husband enjoyed the beer discounts.“

And the teriyaki sauce is salty. And the music was awful when i was there. Thats why the 1 point deduction fornatmosphere. “Our party of 20 came in on Christmas Eve and they were able to accommodate us. The food was definitely made with love. Sushi, bento box and ramen was phenomenal!! “Amazing experience. At first I was wary when I realized the restaurant was in an older hotel next door to Disneyland but I admit I was absolutely wrong. The restaurant was good enough to be one you could find in any five star resort or Michelin guide. The service was absolutely amazing. The entire staff was welcoming and extra nice to us. The chef was from Japan and had fifty years experience as a sushi chef in Japan. The food was amazing and I can’t state that enough. It was to die for. Some of the best real sushi I’ve had in years and not Tex mex sushi. This was an emphasis on the fish. The Wagyu was some of the best I’ve had in years. Everything was amazing. I will be back.“

The place doesn't look fancy, but the fish is always fresh with delicious options at reasonable prices. Our favorites include the spicy hotate and the Salmon Lover roll (buttery and flavorful).

If you're craving high-quality sushi without the hype or high costs, Daoni is a must-try.“

“Kiku sushi restaurant is honestly amazing the service is the best I’ve ever had and the people there are so sweet. I love going there and the price is perfect definitely try the garlic butter salmon if you love onions it’s amazing along with their baked scallops. “Fantasic staff! They are always so friendly and helpful! They always remember us when we come in. The shabu is fantastic. The broth selections are wonderful and you can mix and match! Produce is fresh, lots of beers on tap. Only critisism is I wish they would change their chairs, they aren’t comfortable; the food is so good though it’s worth being uncomfortable!“

“I had an absolutely amazing dinner at Akashiro. I did the full omakase experience, and everything was completely delicious! I got the passion fruit sake cocktail and it was also very good. I interacted with several staff members, and they were all excellent. The sushi chef with the dangling earring was especially friendly and helpful. Definitely get the ceviche and parmesan scallops. I also got to try some of the Nikkei (fusion) nigiri and they were all really good, but especially the salmon. Highly recommended for a great sushi dinner.“

“Hands down one of the best sushi experiences I’ve had locally. The fish was incredibly fresh and clearly high quality, and the pricing felt like excellent value for what you’re getting.

We had the toro, A5 wagyu, shima aji, the Oyishi roll, and the BG salmon roll—every single bite was outstanding. You can really tell the care and skill that goes into the food.

On top of that, the chef was personable, welcoming, and genuinely nice, which made the whole experience even better. This is officially my new favorite sushi spot and has earned a permanent place in my go-to rotation. Highly recommend.“

“Saw a picture of the Yakisoba Katsu sandwich and I had to have one! It was awesome! The Katsu was crispy and the meat tender. In short it was perfect! (not dry at all!) the yakisoba noodles was a nice addition as it absorbed the tonkatsu sauce and the cole slaw dressing! I also loved the brioche bread! A perfect touch. The sandwich was delicious and not like anything I have tasted before! This with a side of the curry fries! (YUM!) I'll definitely be back for more!“

We had some miso soup, seaweed salad, and an assortment of hand rolls. The soup was solid and the seaweed salad was delicious - honestly one of our favorite parts of the meal. “I live near this Japanese style food restaurant but never have tried, today I decided to have for dinner with my family, my wife had the combo #02(combos come with beverage)she got beef and with white rice and x2 piece californa roll, I got combo #01 chicken and white rice with 4 dumplings, and for my 5yr old son we got him chicken no sauce with rice with the option of a mini box size, perfect for a toddler, we all were very pleased with the food quality and taste.
The chicken is very authentic in flavor not like most fast food, highly processed chicken taste and the sauce is made their, so it's very homemade hand crafted taste which I personally love, I have fall in love with the flavor and I am excited to try more of the dishes served here.
If your are someone who eats slop, highly processed food, made to feed cancer cells you probably won't appreciate the authentic flavor of a dying food craft made with love, this is not fast good, if you appreciate food craft to a culinary degree this place is for you.

Shabu Shabu Bar in Santa Ana is an absolute must for me when visiting Orange County. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is lively, clean, and modern, with a great counter setup that makes cooking your own meal fun and engaging.

The broths are rich and flavorful (tons of great options), and the meats are sliced perfectly, fresh, tender, and high quality. The vegetable platter is generous and colorful, the sauces and toppings let you customize every bite, and everything feels thoughtfully prepared. The gyoza were crispy and delicious, and the rice paired perfectly with the meal.

Service is friendly and attentive, even when the place is busy. They make sure you’re comfortable, explain the process if it’s your first time, and keep everything running smoothly.

And the cherry on top, free ice cream at the end! Such a nice touch to finish an already great meal.

“Recently had lunch as a first-timer, and I enjoyed my meal. I've been eyeing this place for awhile, thanks to social media. The menu offers plenty of tasty options, from ramen to sushi and sushi rolls, udon, soba, rice bowls, and more. Vegetarian options are also available.

I ordered the Spicy Ramen along with a couple of pieces of nigiri sushi. The Spicy Ramen has a flavorful pork-and-chicken broth that's not too heavy, and the spice level is medium. Ask for more spice if you like the heat. The pork chashu was thin, but very tender and tasty with a bit of melt-in-the-mouth fat still.

I also ordered yellowtail sushi and seared peppered salmon sushi. Both cuts were delicious and prepared well.

The staff was kind and attentive. The dining area is spacious with plenty of tables and is kept clean. Some pleasant-looking decor as well. Parking can be tricky as the plaza has other popular businesses, and the lot can fill up fast. Can't wait to try more of the menu soon.“

“Came here to try 88 Katsu and I’m already planning my next visit. The inside is super clean with plenty of seating, and I loved that you can order directly from a tablet at your table — so easy and convenient.

I got the Jumbo 88 Katsu and wow… it was HUGE. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and definitely left me stuffed. I also tried the cheese katsu and it was so good — melty, savory, and perfectly fried. Everything comes out on a tray with a full spread of sides like kimchi, curry, soup, and different sauces, which made the meal feel extra satisfying. The rice + curry combo was honestly a highlight for me.

I also ordered the zaru udon, which is a cold udon dish. It was light, refreshing, and really tasty — a nice contrast to the heavier katsu. That said, the jumbo katsu completely stole the show.

Overall, in my opinion, this is the best katsu in OC. Great portions, great quality, and a comfortable dining experience. I’ll definitely be back.“
