“We've been going here for years, especially during Covid. Needed to make sure that this small business stayed open, owners are very nice and make delicious food!

Popped in here for lunch on a Monday right about noon. One other person was waiting for their food so I was helped right away.

I ordered a spam musubi and the spicy chicken plate.

Musubi was up front hot and ready to go. Delicious as usual and not too much rice which I prefer!

Spicy chicken plate was delicious and actually had some kick. And it was so aesthetically pleasing!

Service was quick and friendly, too. Can’t wait to return here for lunch again!“

One of the few Japanese restaurants that still serve a salad and miso soup to all customers. We ordered appetizers but honestly the serving sizes were plenty without the apps. We told them we came all the way from Huntington Beach and went according to the 4.8 star review. The icing on the cake was the complimentary fruit salad and strawberry ice cream. Definitely did not disappoint and we will be back for sure. Thank you for a wonderfully delicious Sunday family dinner.“

“What a GREAT dinner! Met friends here on a late Friday night and they fit us in. The sushi was fresh and so tasty, definitely the best I’ve had in a LONG time. The drinks were amazing, try a version of their old fashioned but so many different drinks to choose from. Our server Christine was so attentive & sweet. We felt the service was 10/10! “We were seated right away and I really liked how they allowed one of us to do Premium ayce and the other person to do regular ayce, it helped a lot with the flexibility in choosing both of dining experiences but sharing them together. Service was attentive and fast, we waited no more than 10 minutes after putting in our order for another round of food. The nigiri was fantastic, wasabi dots, ponzu and yuzu sauce that goes with the cuts of fish add a lot more to it. Also if you go during lunch time (up to 3pm) the prices are fairly good. Overall would highly recommend, I do wish some of the nigiri didn’t come with the specific sauce, and that the fish could be enjoyed simply without anything added on, still really great quality cuts. Normally I don’t like seared black pepper nigiri but here I loved it, the snow crab was also amazing. You also get a free large vanilla ice cream topped with chocolate syrup if you leave a yelp review, pretty cool. Highly recommend if you love ayce sushi.“

“Amazing experience eating here, right as me and my bf walked through the door we were greeted by the whole staff with cheerful smiles, they had great music and comfy seats, the atmosphere is cozy and inviting beside it being so crowded in there but the food is absolutely delicious! Me and my bf had the spicy miso ramen and a California roll and it was amazing, so much flavors and food is fresh, We've gone to other ramen places and we always come back to this one. 10/10 ✨“

“I am a frequent visitor of the Uptown Whittier location and absolutely love it. I recently moved down to a new neighborhood and coincidentally found their sister location very nearby. The menus are very different, but the quality is still the same top tier that you'd expect. I was impressed with the price and quality of their pork belly skewers. Only $4 for high-quality pork belly skewers is insane! I loved everything I ordered and the service was great. I highly recommend checking it out if you're in the area.

“Fish was relatively fresh and big portions, of good quality. Some of the pieces were blowtorched, which is a nice touch. The quality of the rice in the sushi is also good (and very important but no one ever talks about it). Friendly service and spacious venue. I was gonna say it was a bit pricey, but to be fair everything is pricey nowadays so it's probably avg priced. Just budget accordingly.“

“This place is a cozy, budget-friendly spot which we think is run by one guy. He does everything—from cooking to serving—making each bowl of ramen. The broth is rich, the noodles are great. The prices are unbeatable to our standards for refrence in colorado you pay 20-50 dollars for food per person. We on average payed 17 bucks ( total of 105 for whole meal with drinks) Despite the solo operation, service is quick and friendly our table of six left in an hour . He also took us in a few minutes before closing, which was so nice because he didn't have too. We read reviews and were a little nervous but I think people need to be kinder as well, for a one man show this place is wonderful and deserves the support.“

“I visited this place for the first time in a long time, and it seems the ownership has changed. The portions have become more generous, and the food is very fresh. It looks like they primarily do takeout, but it’s nice to dine in as well when you’re in the mood for a quick sushi fix.“

“This is a jewel of a place, it's on the southside of the street on Whittier Blvd about a quarter mile west of Beach blvd. Their sushi rolls are excellent and their prices are a bit lower than other sushi places who overcharge for the same faire.
Gunn, the proprietor is the nicest guy and he's humorous and goes out of his way to make you feel welcome every time you come in. The best tasting sushi in the area!
