“This place was delicious! My boyfriend always comes here and it never disappoints. This was my first time here and I have nothing bad to say , the food was very flavorful and fresh . I got the Cajun plate my bf got the coco tempura roll along with a California roll . They have self served sauces on the side which are very good as well. The dining area is clean and pretty spacious the tables come with sriracha and soy along with utensils and napkins. Over all it was a great meal , I recommend.“

“Bento boxes are of great quality here. The attention to detail of this curated meal definitely lets your eyes feast first. All the little sides taste amazing, especially the candied sweet potatoes. The vegetables alternate between sweet and salty to balance out the meal. The Scottish salmon and mackerel are cooked to perfection. The little yolk in the rice also adds a nice touch to mix in and eat.“

It is still family run, and everything I tried was excellent. The chicken and egg bowl was enough for two meals. The potato croquettes were delicious. Service was good but it was really hot inside and the propped door just wafted in pot smoke from outside. Didn’t see any off-street parking but it’s only steps from the little Tokyo metro station which makes it easy to get there without a car, something Angelenos could learn a thing or two about.“

“A great spot in Little Tokyo that specializes in gyoza! I really enjoyed the food here and it’s at a good cost as well. The service is friendly and kind too. The dumpling soup was my favorite especially when the temperature drops at night. You get to choose your filling and can either get steamed or pan fried. The bento box is a great deal here too. Yellow tail collars are meaty for broiling and include side pieces that you can scrape off to make hand rolls or mix up as spicy yellowtail to top your rolls with. There really is nothing you will not like there. Personally, we consider the shrimp tempura to be the best. But they have a great menu and you will find something you want. We also love their seaweed salad and their fried rice. It is all just great.

Their tuna sushi and their California roll are perfect.

The service is ever so friendly and they are fast. You order at the counter and they will call you when it is ready.

“I live near this Japanese style food restaurant but never have tried, today I decided to have for dinner with my family, my wife had the combo #02(combos come with beverage)she got beef and with white rice and x2 piece californa roll, I got combo #01 chicken and white rice with 4 dumplings, and for my 5yr old son we got him chicken no sauce with rice with the option of a mini box size, perfect for a toddler, we all were very pleased with the food quality and taste.
The chicken is very authentic in flavor not like most fast food, highly processed chicken taste and the sauce is made their, so it's very homemade hand crafted taste which I personally love, I have fall in love with the flavor and I am excited to try more of the dishes served here.
If your are someone who eats slop, highly processed food, made to feed cancer cells you probably won't appreciate the authentic flavor of a dying food craft made with love, this is not fast good, if you appreciate food craft to a culinary degree this place is for you.

“We had a fantastic lunch here today! This place has a cool and relaxing atmosphere, and the guy behind the sushi counter took great care of us. We had some miso soup, seaweed salad, and an assortment of hand rolls. The soup was solid and the seaweed salad was delicious - honestly one of our favorite parts of the meal. The rolls were all very good; the fish was fresh, and each roll highlighted the taste of the fish without overwhelming it with other sauces and flavors. The standout was the sea bream hand roll that they were serving today, which was INCREDIBLE. Next time, I may just order as many of those as possible!“

The owner has been playing this music in this town for 20 ish years, and you can feel the history behind his collection of fliers and posters that he's sharing with the world.

The food fills a good niche in Little Tokyo. A few fried bar favorites, classic and seasonal sashimi, and a handful of fusion/vegan dishes differentiate from the other izakaya nearby.

Lastly, it really feels like part of the neighborhood. An old guy said this was a good place run by good neighbors. Why would he lie?

I've also enjoyed the chicken and beef teriyaki bowls, as well as the sushi and roll offerings. While they may not offer as many fish varieties as other places, the ones they do have are all fresh and satisfying.

For a small, mom-and-pop restaurant, I'm glad there's a place like this close to home and affordable. The service is good. I've visited many times and the owner is a man of few words. The other staff have been nice as well.

Their wagyu cuts are 100% top-grade and not just random "wagyu" that are below the marks. We tried their A5 and M9 meats, not to mention their salmon carpaccio that is to die for. Their sides are absolutely delicious and smart, one great example is their fried pork buns that is like a spin on soup dumplings. To top it off, you get premium ice cream in the end. Their salad is so good with yuzu and smokey salt, plus you get a chili mix too. And even though it slightly adds to the price, I would also recommend checking off “Extra Salmon” when ordering, because without the additional it feels like there is not enough.
