8 Best Japanese Restaurants in Downey

“We tried the chicken katsu and a noodle dish, they were both really good. We want to go back and try some of their other options as they have so many. The service was excellent, the gentleman brought us all the sauces and was so nice. The place is small, with a few tables but very clean. Definitely recommend this place!“

“It was such a pleasant experience visiting this sushi bar! The sushi was delicious, and my personal favorite is the Philadelphia roll. They have a huge variety of sushi, so I think there is something for everyone.
The boba tea was also really tasty, and they have a great selection of beer and appetizers. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the staff is very friendly and welcoming.
Overall, I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend this place. Come here with your family or friends, enjoy good conversation, relax, and have some delicious food!“

“Friendly customer service“

“Today I went to buy some food and while I waited for my food, I sat down and put my small wallet on top of a table, when my food was ready I got up and I totally forgot about my wallet. I noticed I didn’t have it when I got home, I immediately called teriyaki J’s and I asked if they found it. The young lady (cashier) told me it was there and that she would save it for me and to go get it whenever I could. I drove back and she had it. She made my day, I tried to give her some money as a reward but she kindly refused and said no need. I would highly recommend this place, she could’ve kept the money, yet she decided to return it intact. I also have to say the food is amazing . 😻“

“My favorite place to go when it's date night with my husband the atmosphere is low light and romantic. Food is fresh and made with the heart. Also when my husband and I visit they know my husband love plum wine. Every one is so friendly.“

“This place NEVER FAILS me, food is always fresh and delicious. Took my daughter for lunch and the first step when we walked in we were greeted with a friendly smile. The young lady (Clerk GM) that served us had excellent, I mean superb customer service. This is definitely my sushi spot. I recommend it to everyone.“

“I was extremely shocked with the quality of everything we ordered. This place does not appear promising at all but as soon as you take a bite, all of the doubt goes away. I will definitely be coming back.
I had chicken and rice
Beef and rice
Fried zucchini
Chili cheese fries (well done)

All items were amazing. I typically go into more detail but im out of time. I may revise this with detail but you can rest assured youre going to get a really, actually delicious meal here.“

“The best place to eat for lunch and dinner!“
