“Great ambiance and amazing food. I had a lot of food… falafel, spicy hummus, kafta kabob, tzatziki loaded with veggies, cheese balls, and baklava. All so delicious and fresh. I even loved the fresh pita and dipping sauce that was complimentary. From the manager and many servers, everyone was pleasant and friendly throughout my time there. I went during happy hour so the specials were great during that time. I’m definitely returning to this Mediterranean restaurant for sure. I loved it.“

“I've been going to Pieloon for a few years now and it is THE BEST restaurant in Downey! The food is always fabulous, the portions are large, the service is perfect! I've had appetizers, salads, pastas, steaks, burgers, sandwiches (I'm addicted to the BLT) and many of their specials. My family and I go now 2x a week and have trouble deciding what to get because it's all so good! And the pies...their pumpkin pie is the best I've ever had and the blueberry cheesecake is fabulous...but just wait until fresh peach pie season...I'll gain weight just thinking about it...the fresh peach is the best pie I've ever, EVER had! I love this place and the people who work there!! They're like family now!“

Despite what may appear online, the restaurant is NOT permanently closed, they are OPEN and actively serving customers. Please don’t let that misinformation stop you from visiting. Every dish I’ve tried has been excellent, but the tamales are truly unforgettable, hands down some of the best I’ve ever had. The only negative star is an asian men on the bar I think the owner that has a bad attitude when he put beverages on your table he throw the straws and a the time you pay he look in front of you how much is your tip if you dont put any tip he gets mad. I stopped through on my way home from San Diego. My pizza was made within 10 minutes of ordering. I ordered 2 short rib empanadas as well. Everything was so flavorful! I think this place should ALWAYS have a line! I hope that with this review, that changes.

The food was outstanding. Every roll was fresh, beautifully prepared, and packed with flavor. The sushi and sashimi tasted incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use high-quality ingredients. Everything we ordered came out looking like a work of art and tasted even better.

If you visit, you *have* to try the yellow tail sashimi, lobster roll, geisha roll topped with sweet and savory fried onions, snake eel roll, etc.—they were easily the highlight of the meal and something we’ll definitely be coming back for. EVERYTHING was delicious!
