“I’ve reviewed restaurants all over the country, and Maria’s Bar & Grill is the kind of little spot I love finding. It’s tucked away in the back, almost like a hideaway, with plenty of parking once you find it.

The food is authentic and tastes just like Abuelas. The staff is awesome, and the prices are so good I had to look twice. They run specials too, including Dodger game deals like two bacon dogs and a beer, or wings and a beer.
They Definitely support our military and ask those who've served.

“Well it been while I been to Sizzler since it was remodel the food is good I wish they have more choices and jello on unlimited salad bar it was fourth of July we were visit my father in skilled
nursing home so mom and I were hungry so we stop at Sizzler it was kinda slow there business wise we were happy get a seat does get business on the weekend food was good we have as I had Chicken noodle soup and my mom have menundo and salad and some taco with all trimmings chicken wings and service was excellent huge shoutout to Downey staff at this Sizzler restaurant“

“Today I went to buy some food and while I waited for my food, I sat down and put my small wallet on top of a table, when my food was ready I got up and I totally forgot about my wallet. I noticed I didn’t have it when I got home, I immediately called teriyaki J’s and I asked if they found it. The young lady (cashier) told me it was there and that she would save it for me and to go get it whenever I could. I drove back and she had it. She made my day, I tried to give her some money as a reward but she kindly refused and said no need. I would highly recommend this place, she could’ve kept the money, yet she decided to return it intact. I also have to say the food is amazing . 😻“

Passed by on a Monday and they had a Shrimp Taco DEAL 1.75. Shrimos are fried, they were Tried and Verified, Tasty, Crispy on the outside soft /firm Fresh on the inside. If you looking for tiny tacos with no flavor then dont come here.
I ran the numbers, you can get 9 tacos for under $20.
Also was 2x1 shrimp cocktail Mexican style 17.50
Taco Tuesday special is $8 for 3, looks like fresh shrimp not fried, hard shell tacos.
Place was clean and cool, small on the outside and big on the inside.“

“The food was exceptional for what I call sit- down fast food. I had never eaten there before so I loved the shrimp tacos and chicken taquitos with quest sauce drizzled on top. Just the right amount too!
The inside of this location was in desperate need of sweeping and clean tables (I had to request a towel to do it myself before the staff member wiped the table).
I will go back again one day soon as the food is starting me to return.
In returning to this particular location in Downey, I hope the person whose job it is to sweep and clean tables is doing a better job.
