“I love coming to this bar. It's a cool dive bar, there is DJ some nights so it does get loud. It's fun on those days. Also when you come in early. It's very chill. I typically come after a long week and look forward to Mondays for the karaoke. All the bartenders are very nice & make great drinks. Not a single one messes up my mixed drink. It's perfect. “I lived here in this city for 17 years and came across Verdugos. The whole experience was amazing from the time we came in to meeting Mr.. Verdugos himself came to our table and spoke with us making sure we were ok. The Steak is to die for tender juicy. The chicken salad was amazing. The bread and sauce they serve you was so tasty. The cheesecake OMG. I could go on how good everything was. I will be back. Highly recommended for any event you won't be disappointed. Everything is alcart... Its worth every penny.“
“This place is a serious good time. A word to the wise, the karaoke is deceiving, the pros make it look super easy but it's far from it. There's only instrumental to accompany you with minimal cues. I failed miserably at my rendition of Shoop from award winning artists Salt-N-Pepa. I would have been mortified if not for the stop light shot I had taken just before. Warning No.2, if you come here on your birthday you will have to take one of these stop light shots (3 of em) in a consecutive fashion whilst the whole bar sings happy birthday to you. All in all, a great night with a chill crowd. The Micheladas are delicious and made to your spice preference. The bartenders are all really nice and friendly. 10/10 will return and hopefully recoup my honor in the karaoke.“

“The Anarchy Library has been on my list for a long time. It's one of those places that everyone says you should check out. I finally had a chance to go this past Friday. It was so much fun! The DJ played '80s, darkwave, new wave, rock en Español, and 2000s indie hits like "Deceptacon" by Le Tigre and "12:51" by The Strokes. Solid playlist. There is a $5 cash cover on Fridays and Saturdays. Bring cash! Import beers like Stella and Modelo are $6. Anarchy Library has a dive bar feel which I loved. I didn't think it was "dirty," I thought it was unique. It reminds me of the rocker divey bars in Austin, TX. Lots of rock and punk posters on the walls. The dancefloor is small, but it worked. The crowd was really vibing with each other. I would say the age range was about 21-45 or so. You won't feel too old or too young coming here which is amazing. That is a big reason for the 5 stars. This is one of the best crowds I've danced with in a long time. Even though we were strangers, we felt a connection with each other. That's good stuff. Dancing in the post "me too" movement hits different. None of the guys were aggressive or trying to hit on us. I felt they read the room and didn't try to talk to us unless we talked to them first. I could just enjoy catching up with my girlfriends without being bothered. I will be coming back often. I had a great time here!“
“The sign on the building reads "Epic Live." I went there for a private event for the Downey Coalition of the Arts. The atmosphere was nice. There was plenty of space. One door opens to the street, and two more open into an adjoining cocktail bar, which I believe was called Epic Bites. Parking was scarce. On a busy night it would likely be difficult to find a place to park other than about half a block away in the paid parking structure.“
