You can't get a free cup of water. There was a couple that was very friendly to me. Bartender Yesenia was nice and very pretty.“

I have obsessively been coming to The Wolves whenever I’m in LA, and it never disappoints. The Agua Buena is hands-down the best cocktail I’ve ever had in my life.

Their other cocktails are just as impressive… my friends always order different ones, and every drink has such unique, inventive flavor profiles that just work. The small bites are delicious too.

“Visited LA and was invited to this bar from some friends I made at the Precinct! Instantly loved the vibes as I walked in. Has a punk-rock vibe with some retro themes throughout and colored lighting. Tried the dirty martini and it was made to perfection for an LA night out drink!“

“This place is narrow but an absolute gem of a place for live fairly intimate music performances. The sound system is great, the service even better, and the crowd very fun. It's also incredibly convenient to get to via train from Union Station so you really kinda have zero excuse if you get a DUI.

Not sure how the table situation works but I'm assuming you have to get there early to score one or at the bar. Otherwise it's standing room only with a few loose stools toward the rear atrium section.

The only true but minor inconvenience is the having to swipe/pay for every drink purchase. I get the why but the service and drink options make up for it.“

It was pretty much empty on a Friday night with a few people at the bar watching sports, so not really lively going-out vibe you’re looking for on a Friday. Dimmed overhead lightning is neither intimate nor creating an atmosphere. Staff was incredible, so I’d come back if I’m in the area and need a drink.“
