“Been here a bunch of times. Great custom cocktails all their own plus all the classics. They probably have every type of liquor you can think of. Great service--they always hand you a menu as soon as you come in the door. Order your drinks at the bar--might have to work you way between people sitting at the bar. They don't take orders from the seating area, I've seen people leave thinking they are not getting served. Just order at the bar. Good drinks and good wine and beer options too. NOT a great place for large groups.“

However, Camille suggested a couple of dishes for us and they did not disappoint and in fact I would’ve licked the plates if it was publicly appropriate. “Our church, Triedstone MBC, just hosted a luncheon for our leadership team. It was catered by Darrow’s New Orleans Grill. We were very pleased with our experience. The food was delicious. And the service was great! They arrived early. And the food was hot. The owner, Norwood, presented the food with a very appetizing description of each entree. Everyone loved it! Additionally, the portions were very generous. And everyone went back for seconds. At Triedstone, we do everything with excellence. And Darrow’s definitely met the challenge. “Just went to blondies yesterday! Saturday night around 9:30 pm. It's a nice bar! More standing space than seating. There is outside seating but it was taken up when we arrived there and it didn't seem to free up by the time we left.Age range is millennials, maybe some college students.Music is a bit loud if you are trying to have a conversation, but overall its fun! They got games playing and I think you can have lil birthday gatherings there? There was a small birthday hang out when we were there which was really cute.Overall, good bar, would come back.“

Starting with the welcoming staff at the entrance. John, your hospitality is the beginning of the joyful experience. The restaurant is so elegant. We enjoyed the vaulted ceilings with wood beams. We enjoyed the large window at the kitchen area so you can see the Chefs at work. We got to sit next to the impressive wine rack display. The restaurant’s ambiance wouldn’t be complete without the soft background music. Our waiter, Issac, was a delight. He provided us with his expertise in choosing our wines, appetizers, entrees, and desserts. It was a pleasure to meet to give special thanks to the Chef, Danny Le and Su Chef, Donald. Their expertise is why we had an amazing and delicious dinner.“

“We tried this little bar while we were visiting friends in the Uptown Whittier area. It's an eclectic little cocktail lounge with speakeasy vibes. We loved the decor and the ambience was great with dimmed soft red lights that made the place very relaxing. They had happy hour going on and we tried the queso con chorizo dip. It came really hot so it was watery and when we tried it, it was oily and mushy. However, once it cooled, the dish was solidified and the flavors really merged and popped- the oaxaca cheese, poblano peppers, and chorizo really blended together into a delicious dish. I highly recommend you try it! They have specialty drinks but carry a full bar and can make many other drinks. I really enjoyed their specialty drinks although they were very small. We spent about an hour there, then headed to dinner with friends. The staff was great and attentive. They were very nice and really explained their menu. It was a cute little place that were definitely visiting again when we're in town.“

I wasn’t sure what to expect, but places like this are my favorite. I will definitely be back! The bartender made a perfect Midori sour, which is actually one of those cocktails that seems easy to make, but can be easily unbalanced. Definitely some pool sharks which made for a good viewing“
