Came here because this is where they filmed True Blood. The staff are super amazing and the bartender was able to make me a red blood orange style drink like the old True Blood blood orange drinks this bar served a decade ago.If you are a True Blood fan, this is an absolutely amazing place to visit, it's like being in the show. Came here for a concert, the acoustics were great and the people were very cool. It's a solid venue! Only down a star because the bartender to people ratio is slightly low and its basically a large room with a bar. Still great thoughh.

I love a good cocktail and find it very difficult to find one in this town (that's reasonably priced). I never thought that I'd be rating Alex's Bar as one of the best places to get a cocktail in Long Beach! They really know what they're doing and go the extra mile. I don't go to a lot of live shows anymore, so I don't frequent the place as much as I'd like to. Kudos to Alex and his staff for doing it right and not charging an arm and a leg. A lot of LB bars could learn something...read full review
