“First time we try this place and it has become our new fav brunch/lunch spot in Long Beach right away!The food is super tasty and healthy, definitely one of the best vegan food I ever had in LA. Great atmosphere and super friendly staff. To top it off, the patio tables and indoor/outdoor space make it very dog friendly which was perfect for our dog (it’s also 5min from Rosie’s beach, so very convenient!)”
“Wow!! Everything about this place was amazing. The decor, the staff, the food. Can't wait to come back. Galata Turkish Halal Grill is on the corner of Belmont and Nieto. Depending on what time you come free parking can be difficult to find. They provide indoor seating and a few tables outside as well. I came with a friend and were seated within seconds. We ordered the Galata salad, a chicken donor wrap, and a beef donor wrap. To our surprise they brought out a plate of sun-dried tomatoes in herbs and oil with some fresh warm bread to start, so good! The food we ordered was delicious. We both agreed that the beef donor wrap was our favorite of the two. As for the salad, I thought corn was an interesting topping to add but I felt that the flavors went well together. The dates and the caramelized walnuts were a nice touch. However, my friend was on the fence about it. She mentioned it was too lemony for her taste. So keep that in mind if your preference is similar to hers when ordering the Galata salad. The staff had to have been the best part of the whole experience they were all so kind and very helpful when we were not sure what to order. They even gave us complimentary pomegranate tea when we finished our food. This place is a must try in my opinion.”

Loved the way they have put in so much efforts in improvising the dishes.I ordered butter chicken pot pie, garlic naan, dum biryani, death by chocolate.Dessert was a 3/5 though, it wasn’t really that tasty.”
“Excellent Colombian brunch. The pork belly was crispy and well seasoned with just the right amount of fat. The selva steak and eggs plate was a great sampler of many of their dishes. The service is great and friendly. I had the carajillo coffee cocktail with brandy, which was good, but not my favorite. My other friends loved it though. Definitely recommend this place and will come again!”

This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.”

“I highly recommend this spot for authentic Cambodian cuisine. Our group of four didn't have to wait long and there was an iPad outside for joining the waitlist for a table. There's a variety of noodle options available. We tried the Phnom Penh Noodle Special dry and soup, Beef and Meatball Noodle, Pork Rice Porridge with fried breadstick, and ordered round bread on the side. While the round bread was too dense and hard, the meat bread had too many onions. Despite the rushed service causing a couple of mistakes, the overall experience was quite good, with fast and efficient customer service. It was very hard to find parking there so we had to park in the neighborhood.”

“This hole in the wall in an old smallish strip mall is a true gem. Wonderful food, presentation and service. Their prices bring me back to the year 2010’s. Definitely a place I will visit again and recommend to family and friends. And good coffee – it tasted well without sugar or cream!”

From the short rib poutine to fall off the bone pork ribs, everything we had was masterfully prepared. The doughnut beneigts with homemade strawberry jam were the perfect end to the meal. The rootbeer float was amazing.Portion size was perfect for what we were looking for at the time. The restaurant itself was beautiful and was very relaxing. Outdoor seating was comfortable, and of needed, there was overhead heating available.We can't wait to go back and eat there again!Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp up to the front door, but the outdoor seating is right at the sidewalk level and easy to navigate a wheel chair through”

“The sushi here is to die for!!!! We moved about 45 minutes away and when ever we crave sushi we will make the drive. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant near me that comes even close to Osaka Story! My husband and I make sure we come once a month. My husband love the quality, atmosphere, customer service, and the amazing people that work here. Thank you Reyna and the rest of Osaka story crew!”

We ordered the SS signature burger, some appetizers (truffle fries, Korean style pork belly with lettuce wrap, calamari), some drinks and a dessert (pistachio cake, which is all right). The food in general was tasty but not mind blowing. Probably above average. The waitress was super friendly. Recommend for friends and family gathering.”

“We had two types of oysters, which were quite good. The lobster roll was good, but expensive for the size. The wine pours (for $14 each) seemed light, but maybe it was just the short ridiculous water glass they serve in. My biggest issue was the service. The server was inattentive, and the entrees were very slow to come out. $200 for two people. Not sure it measures up to that.”

It was a bit spicy for us, even though we asked for mild, but it was so delicious. Portions are huge. We took half home, but we're excited to have leftovers.”

“This was a most delightful late lunch here today in great part due to the exceptionally hospitable and knowledgeable staff. The restaurant's interior is traditionally regal and cozy however we opted to eat in their spacious outside eating area on this beautiful afternoon. No regality was lost by being outside for we were in the care of Gilberto, our wonderful principle waiter. He understood our every need and pampered us like one seldom encounters in Long Beach. We began with an Old Sicilian cocktail. It's probably fortunate the photo didn't come out else I'd be shamelessly punning the caption, but most importantly it was delicious with quite a punch. The crab cake appetizer, also delicious, was followed by the best hamburger that I've ever had and that includes any produced from my kitchen (I consider that to be the highest praise). Bf gave me a taste and there is no question that I will be ordering this next time. For a special treat, Gilberto presented us with a beautiful crème brûlée. When requiring a flawless dining experience, this is perfection, They are Masters of their craft.”

The hummus and pita bread were delicious, the "Yalanji" grape leaves appetizers were zesty and flavorful. We split the mixed mashawi skewers (chicken and kafta) as our main dish - delicious! And the mint lemonade was a perfect complement to our meal. I highly recommend Ammatoli, but make your reservation in advance!!! I made ours two weeks before our chosen date and there were limited times available. The restaurant is very popular - with good reason! - and a local friend told be we were lucky to get a reservation!”

“Came here with my friends after Sake2Me had closed down their waitlist, but honestly I don't regret it one bit. We had a great time here with their service and quality of fish! The AYCE Sushi price here is $42.99 for the regular menu options. I honestly think that's enough choices for that price. Food takes a bit to come out and comes out sporadically. The quality of the fish was enough to make it worth it. We gobbled up every round so quick! I have to come back here whenever I'm craving good sushi in LB.”

“We recently moved to Lakewood. Normally we have sushi in J-Town or Torrance, but we don't really want to drive too far. We had sushi at a spot in Lakewood a month ago, but it was terrible. A relative recommended this place, and I have to say, I was skeptical. Anyway, we came at around 7:30pm on a Saturday. Parking was not too easy, but luckily we found street parking nearby. The interior is really well done. We could immediately tell that there is major customer loyalty, since I believe it is the owner that greets everyone and there were a lot of regulars. The servers are very friendly and attentive. I was very surprised that they had a great selection of fish (great fish) and even had ankimo (monkfish liver) and natto (fermented soybeans) too. The salmon skin salad also is the best salad I have ever had! We loved everything about this really great place and definitely will be back soon!”

We began with an Old Sicilian cocktail. It's probably fortunate the photo didn't come out else I'd be shamelessly punning the caption, but most importantly it was delicious with quite a punch. The crab cake appetizer, also delicious, was followed by the best hamburger that I've ever had and that includes any produced from my kitchen (I consider that to be the highest praise). Bf gave me a taste and there is no question that I will be ordering this next time. For a special treat, Gilberto presented us with a beautiful crème brûlée. When requiring a flawless dining experience, this is perfection, They are Masters of their craft.”

A total of 4 of us came with my 2yr old that fell asleep. Without even asking the staff accommodated us by seating us in the enclosed outdoor area (it's quieter there than inside) and turned on the heater without being asked. Extremely attentive staff checking in on us (we never felt forgotten outside). If you need sushi recommendations we had the Call Me Babe, Earthquake, Dragon Tear, and non spicy garlic edamame all options are delicious.”

They had live music. The decor is very simple, a bit rustic? But had some very pretty chandeliers. You must have reservations and must arrive on time. Our server was very polite and was quick at answering questions and making suggestions. I ordered the Chicken Milanese, and my husband had the Lasagna. Both were very delicious. We did not have any wine although it looked like they had a good selection and we opted for no dessert (good selection as well), as our meals were pretty good size. We both liked it and would go back. This restaurant has been open for 25 yrs.Parking: There is a public parking structure but it was a block away. Street parking is metered”

We stopped by for a special occasion and everyone enjoyed it.All you can eat buffet salad, meat, and dessert, so come hungry. We all loved the "salad" bar and could've been full and happy from that alone. I tried cheesy mash potatoes, spinach salad, shrimp cocktail, shrimp ceviche, fish with coconut sauce (yummy!), broccoli salad, beets, spicy jalapenos (roasted? but spicy indeed). There were other mixed salads, chicken something that my kid got seconds of, garbanzo bean salad, soups, etc, etc. The options were great.For the meat, our favs were turkey wrapped in bacon, chorizo, and the tender brisket. The skewered beef and ribeye could've been seasoned more. I didn't try the lamb. Chimichurri was a nice touch.Dessert cart was gorgeous: several cheesecakes, carrot cake, chocolate cake (dry), espresso cake (yum!), red velvet cake...Waiters and staff were attentive. Manager checked on us often. The dining area is huge and decor is clean and fancy. Restroom was clean but could use some updating to match the rest of the restaurant. Overall a very nice experience, although $$. Cheaper than Mastro's, maybe on par with Ruth's steakhouse, but I prefer Green Field for the fancy, yet casual dining and great meal options. “I have been *quite* delinquent at keeping up with converting review drafts to actual reviews - but I feel especially bad seeing this one un-posted still, given it was just in the local news last week, they're putting their popup on temporary-but-indefinite pause because it wasn't getting enough business... hopefully they do reopen, ideally in a proper space, because their bbq is *great*. I hadn't ever been to their now-closed official popup location, but after having heard how great they were for the previous year, I finally had a chance to try them over the summer, at the Beachwood anniversary event. I loved that I was able to buy meat in quarter-pound increments, so I could try two of my favorite bbq meats, brisket and pulled pork. The pulled pork was great; the brisket was probably the best brisket I've had from a bbq place in Long Beach (it's still not Franklin, but *nothing* is Franklin). I also tried their mac & cheese - they only had one size, for $8, but that size was *large*. The mac & cheese was also great. Seriously friendly people, too, so I really hope they succeed in their quest for a brick-and-mortar spot. (And that the quality is as good once they do, both so I don't have to give them a worse review later, and because I would like to have that brisket again! And because they're great people and they deserve to succeed, of course.)”

Went back there this past Wednesday and we both ordered their double burger Fuego style. Even more AMAZING! “We went to the Jay Bird's location in the Long Beach industrial park food hall. It was a weekday around lunch, so the place was packed with employees of the surrounding business. With the many options, it's easy to be distracted, but Jay Bird's should be your go to spot. They started to really grow a couple years ago and their food and service is why. Each time we've gone, we experience impeccable service. This time around, we ordered the Mac Daddy, which is a friend chicken sandwich loaded with mac n cheese. While it might seem heavy, the cheese sauce is surprisingly light and doesn't overpower the sandwich. It adds a delicate creaminess and great flavor to the sandwich. The chicken is juicy and cooked to a nice level of crispiness. The crinkle cut fries are not a home run, but they're seasoned well and I don't have any complaints. They have a small counter area for dining, but there are tables around the warehouse that are shared amongst the other restaurants. The staff was friendly and they were quickly making the food. Jay Bird's is always consistent at their various locations and my go to "chain" for a fried chicken sandwich.”

“I ordered takeout at Blue Bird Haus on a Friday evening. I ordered online and received quick confirmation and my order was ready fairly quickly as well. It's surprisingly difficult to find sushi places that serve vegan rolls other than avocado/cucumber rolls. Blue Bird Haus has a wonderful selection of vegan rolls, ramen, and appetizers, and more. I ordered the V-Alaskan roll and veggie egg rolls. It was so delicious and filling. FYI it does come with pickled ginger and wasabi and the V-Alaskan is 8 rolls. While delicious, it is pretty expensive but that's to be expected as plant-based alternatives are usually pricey. “This spot was on point. I'm a difficult customer. I didn't know what I wanted. Yammel was so awesome. She answered my dozen of questions and put together a dinner for my husband and I that was healthy, filling, and delicious. I did take out. I ordered the family style dinner but I got beef kebab and steak instead of chicken for a bit of a charge. We also ordered the appetizer platter and tiramisu for desert. The sides of salad and pita, and everything that came with these meals will give us about three nights of Dinner. Ordering DoorDash or Uber Eats is becoming ridiculous. You pay $15-$20 in fees. So that's why I came in to order take out. So about 80 bucks we'll eat 3 nights. We would easily drop that on one dinner if we went out. Prices are just insane lately. Thank you Yammel for being so patient with me and for being friendly and kind.”
“I've been wanting to try this place out at LBX. I'm Filipino and I noticed they had some Filipino things on the menu. I called in today to try their Filipino Brunch and I sensed some hesitation in the person's voice. Come to find out, this location is turning into an Italian restaurant but they were so kind to make me a Filipino Brunch to-go; their last one ever! They were so kind and I'm bummed it's changing but I left with a smile and a blessed heart.”

“The sushi here is to die for!!!! We moved about 45 minutes away and when ever we crave sushi we will make the drive. I have yet to find a sushi restaurant near me that comes even close to Osaka Story! My husband and I make sure we come once a month. My husband love the quality, atmosphere, customer service, and the amazing people that work here. Thank you Reyna and the rest of Osaka story crew!”

“Really fun ! The double 07 was so yummalish perfect sweetness. We also tried the lavender latte and it was good but the oavender was a little strong I rec doing half sweet. “Ordered online and food was ready on time. Burgers were excellent, chicken sandwich was so good too. Fries and sauces were great. It's usually pretty busy so it might be tough to find a spot to sit, limited seating/tables. One of the best smash burgers around. Definitely worth it!”
“Great food and dining experience. This ain't your old Papalucci's. We started with the Margarita pizza (perfection), Caesar salad, main course and finished with the crème brûlée (delicious). My wife and I will definitely be back. We splurged tonight since it was our first experience there but looking forward to trying other items.”
“Came here on a Sunday around 8pm no wait we ordered at the kiosk. Parking right in front. Phone number to text when order is ready however it wasn't accurate we still waited like 10 minutes after it said our order was ready. Service was ok no greeting and when we checked up on our order they didn't acknowledge us really. Ordered the and marble mango it was alright taste was artificial flavoring. The strawberry milk tea and plain milk teas was ok. The best was probably the mango smoothie. Boba was good. Overall, good for a one time try.”
“This is my favorite restaurant of the year! Exceptional food and service, and I love the ambiance of being in a converted home. The menu is almost constantly changing (so plenty of temptation to go back).The first time I visited Heritage I booked a return trip as soon as I left the restaurant. Fortunately (for my bank account, if not my taste buds) I live a couple of hours away, otherwise who knows how often I'd be there.A must try!”
