“Holy cow. This place has the most amazing food. We ordered the soup dumplings and ended up getting a second order because they were so delicious. My kids couldn’t get enough of the short rib Dan noodle. It was all so fresh, well prepared, and the service was top notch. Every person who helped us was incredibly friendly and kind. We already plan on coming back tomorrow!“
“Finally tried this new dumpling spot on second street. I had to call and check if they were safe for me due to my peanut allergy and luckily they were very accommodating and able to remove peanuts from any items that had the warning. I really appreciate them accommodating to the allergy since I have noticed a lot of places now don't want to take responsibility and just suggest you not eat there. I am so happy I got to try the food, as we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered and had leftovers since they were generous portions. Happy to have this new addition in Belmont shore!“
“I was in the area viewing apartments, so I decided to locate a new pho place. This place is spacious, pretty quiet so I enjoyed that. I ordered the steak and brisket pho, I have to start by saying this was the BEST brisket I’ve had in a pho. It was not fatty at all, and super tender but not dry!If you follow me on here, you know the type of pho I like. This one was clean and packed a little flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, but the brisket was unmatched. The noodles were fresh and intact too. — On the downside, I ordered the salt & pepper shrimp, but I didn’t like it. I ate one, and they still charged me for it. Not the best customer service I’d prefer, and they asked me about it. So I just thought they’d take care of me. Anyway, I’d go back for the pho if I’m in the area. Also, I want to try the fried rice based off the pics.“
“Stopped in after a bike ride. Good food at an extremely afforable price. What makes this spot a 5 star review is the service. Koi (owner) is so friendly, funny and sweet! She let us sample the chicken, told us a bit about the ingredients in each dish and truly treated us (& everyone else in the spot) with kindness & grace. No wonder this place is a local gem. Definely will stop back in next time we are in the area.“
“Great place to stop in for good food. The ladies behind the counter are super nice and friendly. I always get orange chicken and theirs did not disappoint. I’m not a big chow mein fan, but I ate all of it with my 1 item combo. Almost all of the other customers ordered the wings, they looked delicious, but was more that I could eat.“
“This Chinese food spot is my new go to restaurant. The food was juicy and not dry. The chow mein was incredible. I highly recommend the chicken and potato soup if you like curry flavors. The customer service is great. I can't wait to go back.“
“I ordered the Wor WonTon Soup and I’m so happy I did. I’ve been under the weather and this clear broth with veggies and meat is perfect. The broth flavor is delicate but complex enough to be filling on its own. The wontons are not over cooked nor are any veggies, meat or shrimp ?. Exactly what I was looking for AND at a great price. I also got a BBQ Pork skewer and veggie eggrolls which are also on point. The pork had the flavor of Pork and Seeds - it’d be killer with mustard.I took the dish to go - the soup was clearly made fresh as I waited. It was (is) still perfectly hot now that I’ve reached home and am enjoying it.I even called them to say thanks cuz I was soooo happy. Try it you just might love it ?.The actual atmosphere is nothing special but it is clean and well lit. I’ll be back for their other entrees !Parking: These is a lot right across the street if they don’t have any spots out front open. I did not have trouble parking around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon.“
“Hak Heang is a staple for Khmer families to host weddings, but they are open all day for casual dining as well. One of my favorite places to dine in for authentic Khmer food. I ordered seafood Mekathang & jasmine hot tea. Service was very attentive & dishes come out very quickly. The flavors of the Khmer seafood stir fried noodles are always a hit. Hak Heang is a great place to stop by if you're looking for authentic Cambodian food.“
“Stopped in on a whim, found super friendly employees allowing me to browse, and ended up buying some things even though I knew I couldn't finish it. Due to unfortunate circumstances on the Metro Blue Line, I had to get off at Willow Station and take a bus back to DTLB. There was a 20 minute wait, so as I was walking from the Metro station to the bus stop, I stopped into Rose Donuts and Chinese Fast Food. It's an interesting combination, for sure. I had already eaten lunch, but the donuts looked good, so got 20 donut holes (10 for $2) and a Donut Bar - Chocolate glazed for $1.55...to go. No sales tax for donuts, since they are not considered a prepared food. As suspected, when I got home, I was able to finish the donut...and it was delicious. The donut holes were for the next day, and they were still edible ('m sure it would have been great fresh)..but became too hard by the following night. My bad for ordering too much. As the sign says, they also serve prepared chinese food from a steam tray, and have ice blended smoothies and breakfast and deli sandwiches. Took pictures of the menu and later realized that the chinese food menu doesn't have prices. The turnover of the food on that steam tray didn't seem to be too fast, though just a guess.“
“This is my go to place for Chinese food. The orange chicken is delicious. I like all the dishes that we have tried. The pork fried rice is fabulous. I love the wonton soup. The price is very reasonable. You do get a lot of food and it's easily shareable.“
“I really like this joint. Such great hours and impressive variety. People are nice here and it's got a cheery atmosphere. You can totally get down and show off here. When I go here, I like to show off. I like to be myself. I like to be different. I like when other people are different too. I like when people enjoy laughing. I like when we smile at ourselves and others.“
“If I'm close enough to LBC I tend to get Chinese here as they have a nearly 50/50 menu offering vegan dupes of classics. They have meal specials which will give you drink, egg roll, and entree, so it's very affordable for a substantial dining experience. Over the years they've added ramen (although I secretly miss the rice burger, which was squished between crispy rice patties instead of buns). My fave is the New Orleans chicken. The vegan items are made to order and can take some time, so be prepared to be patient.“
“We love this place. Call ahead and save yourself some time. When you get there be sure to get in line to pay for your phone order and you'll be set! I get #26 fish and shrimp (sole) my SO gets #23 fish shrimp and scallops (red snapper). I always get an extra side of hush puppies bCZ two is just not enough!“
“You won't be able to beat these prices for the portion you are receiving in Long Beach. Overall happy with our experience! We tried the chow menu with beef, pork fried rice, and a side order of bao buns. Next time we will swap fried rice for egg drop soup. The women working were very kind. It took about 25 minutes for our order to turn up, so order ahead if possible!“
“Not sure why more people haven't posted pictures here. The food is very good for a fast food place! Full of flavor and good quality, fresh ingredients! Vegetables were nice and crispy, not soggy and watered down. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I'm not really a fan of fast food, Chinese places. But this place is definitely going to continue to get my business! The portions are big and priced, right!“
“I needed a quick dinner before the nearby college basketball game. China Star Express came up well recommended. When I arrived in the small parking lot, Pizzamania was busy and CSE was empty. I almost opted not for Chinese fast food because of the lack of customers. Right when 6:00pm hit, the place had a line to the door. Like many family owned Chinese fast food restaurants, they give you a lot of tasty food. But the prices here are below the market average, probably to entice Beach students. I had a 2-item convo with half/half fried rice and chow mein; mushroom chicken and broccoli beef. Everything was delicious. The vegetables especially seemed high quality. Definitely recommend this for fast, cheap and delicious Chinese food.“
“So first of all the pork chops are a must soft tender but well crusted and well seasoned outside with jalapeño and garlic just yummy. Another favorite is the mangolian beef cooked to perfection the goes perfect with white rice . I've dined in and the service is ok what i really liked is that all food comes out together and the restaurant feels warm inviting and very family like.“
