“I hadn't been here for many years until last weekend (April 6th). And I am so glad we found it again. We went there specifically to celebrate our son's 49th birthday at his request. The selection of dim som was very large AND very good; some of the best I've ever had. There were 9 of us & each of us found a selection to suit our desires, & as noted, each & every choice was better than the last. There were the usual dumplings & veggie choices but also a large selection of stuff I never saw before (& can't spell) like tripe & chicken feet. I can go on & on but needless to say, EVERYONE was satisfied to the nth degree. Service was attentive, friendly & knowledgeable. The eating environment was bright & clean; nothing outstanding, but you don't eat ambiance as I'm fond of saying. Some of the places that the late Johnathan Gold of the LA Times loved were real dives. This place didn't fall into that category but it was more than acceptable. I highly recommend this place especially for dim som lovers.“
“I can't gatekeep this any longer, but I really love their Salt & Pepper Chicken and their Lo Mein! Definitely coming back for these 2-plus they give generous portions. The service was fine, and the actual store was pretty clean. No complaints here.“
“I love trying new vegan places but finding a new one where you would least expect, is awesome! Showed up around noon and the place was empty. The employees were really courteous and helpful and recommended a few items I should try which made ordering an easy choice. We (family of 5) ended up ordering 2 Chinese combo plates and a taco plate (one of each). Took about 15-20 min to make which isn’t too bad considering I didn’t call ahead. The Chinese food was good but the Taco plate was excellent!!! Definitely going back to try out more of the Mexican dishes. Plenty of parking.“
“Noodle dish was perfect ! Xiao lum bao or soup dumplings must have been lost in translation because that was 1000 miles away from what I know…..and to be fair it’s not on the menu. Eggplant chicken wouldn’t order again. Staff is very nice and of course quick. I’d come here again now that I know what they are good “
“For the ultimate Korean-Chinese dining experience in South Bay, look no further. Dive into authentic Jja Jang Myeon and Jjam Ppong at this must-visit establishment. Whether you're new to Korean cuisine or a seasoned foodie, it's the perfect starting point. Don't miss out on trying the Gan Jja Jang--it's a rare find with its smoky wok flavor, generous portions of diced onions and squash, and a less oily consistency compared to traditional Jja Jang Myeon. Highly recommended!“
“This hole in the wall Taiwanese food is so surprised ? and authentic, no joke it’s authentic! And good! If you know what’s Taiwanese food is then you’ll so happy you tried them food ! ! Even if you’re in Taiwan you can’t find food this good often. We had large intestine, stinky tofu , oyster omelette, smoked pork tongue, braised pork rice and braised beef noodle. As an authentic Asian I have to say all of them ~so authentic and satisfied. Especially the large intestine is so tender and no stinky flavor at all! which is so enjoyable! So amazing!? order at here 2 times, the food always satisfied, you have to go and try. By the way the chef ?? (he is the owner) he was an engineer when he was in Taiwan. And his red sauce is also really good ?.“
“The duck is incredible!!! Period! My food was so good that I totally forgot to take a picture of my plate before I started eating ? I loved it and will go back! Wrist check, I am wearing the Seiko Presage Prestige SARX045 JDM release on the Hirsch Liberty leather strap.“
“We tried the pan fried noodles with chicken, the mongolian beef and the sauteed string beans and all were delicious. And the service was kind of slow and I noticed a lot of people flagging the waitress down for their check but we'll definitely be back to try other dishes.“
“Their food is soooo good with amazing portions. My only complaint is that they aren't connected with a delivery food service because I can't get down there as often as I would like... which is at least once a week... like right now.“
“Pretty solid America tuned Chinese food. Everything is really tasty and well made. Prices good for portion size. Parking lot and street parking (no meters). Service was efficient and pleasant. Recommended if in area and looking for some classic Chinese. Tables and boots inside.“
“I recommend the golden prime beef noodle soup (金汤肥牛面) with flat noodles (noodles and broth were my favourite part of the dish). We also had the lamb skewers - the quality of meat was good, but it had a bit too much spice on them.Lastly, the service was great!“
“Flavor is good, they use a lot of garlic. Amount was enough but not for big appetites. Price is in average of Panda Express.Food was barely warm , and when is raining you just want your food hot. Service was good, they do not ask for tip, that is voluntary. Dining room is ok, chairs are for fast people, do not try to stay more than 15 min or pay your rent. I’ll be back but I’ll ask the waitress to please tell people staff be sure my delicious food is hot and healthy. I just realized, that must be keeping over 135 f degrees to be healthy, right?Anyway I’ll be back because I love garlic as a seasoning. Thank you“
“I absolutely love this place! They serve the finest hot and sour soup in LA, and their fried rice is simply exceptional. It's my preferred spot for delicious Chinese cuisine. The online service is friendly and accommodating. They prepare all their dishes fresh, and what I appreciate most is that they personalize the spice and sourness of the soup and rice just for me. Highly recommend!“
“I was in the area viewing apartments, so I decided to locate a new pho place. This place is spacious, pretty quiet so I enjoyed that. I ordered the steak and brisket pho, I have to start by saying this was the BEST brisket I’ve had in a pho. It was not fatty at all, and super tender but not dry!If you follow me on here, you know the type of pho I like. This one was clean and packed a little flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, but the brisket was unmatched. The noodles were fresh and intact too. — On the downside, I ordered the salt & pepper shrimp, but I didn’t like it. I ate one, and they still charged me for it. Not the best customer service I’d prefer, and they asked me about it. So I just thought they’d take care of me. Anyway, I’d go back for the pho if I’m in the area. Also, I want to try the fried rice based off the pics.“
“I've been coming here for a few years and the food is always great and the service is always wonderful. They're so helpful and welcoming. It's just a straight up, old school, Chinese restaurant serving up the classics. Portion sizes are pretty big and always tasty. I have not had a bad experience here yet. Nothing bad to say about this place at all.“
“Abundant amount of food. The chowmein isn’t like any ordinary spot, it’s more like a chicken stir fried and is bomb. The rice is decent but the sides are amazing. I recommend orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and the bbq pork is one of the best I’ve ever had. This spot is one of the only that still makes sweet n sour pork which is why I go. They don’t have a fountain drink machine tho which kinda blows but ain’t w deal breaker .“
“Stopped in after a bike ride. Good food at an extremely afforable price. What makes this spot a 5 star review is the service. Koi (owner) is so friendly, funny and sweet! She let us sample the chicken, told us a bit about the ingredients in each dish and truly treated us (& everyone else in the spot) with kindness & grace. No wonder this place is a local gem. Definely will stop back in next time we are in the area.“
“Great place to stop in for good food. The ladies behind the counter are super nice and friendly. I always get orange chicken and theirs did not disappoint. I’m not a big chow mein fan, but I ate all of it with my 1 item combo. Almost all of the other customers ordered the wings, they looked delicious, but was more that I could eat.“
“Stumbled onto this place after missing my flight and I must say, some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while! Definitely softened the blow of my travel snafu. Will be ordering from here in the future and maybe come early for flights just to grab a bite!“
“First time found it through yelp I'm trying to go to more small businesses and find places that can accommodate me. I got the orange chicken because it didn't have soy and the person I was with got the Mongolian beef with noodles. I ordered on the phone the person was very sweet and knowledgeable and very considerate about my allergies. Everything arrived very sealed tight in plastic accept for my orange chicken and it had a cool opener the radish it looked like it was seasoned with ginger. It came with a side of rice. I felt I didn't really need the rice because the orange chicken was so flavorful. I like the idea of Korean Chinese fusion! Definitely will be coming back here.“
“I forgot to take pictures before but 10/10 amazing.Let's start with our server Paulina. The best is an understatement. Paulina was so friendly from the start, welcomed us with a smile, answered ALL and I do mean ALL our questions, gave us recommendations and popular orders. We ordered the house special soop, it was really good. The meat was perfectly cooked and melts in your mouth. The pork soup dumplings, pork shrimp chives dumplings, and the veggies dumplings were perfect, full of flavor. We will definitely be back.Picture is what was left of our food...nothing...“
“This Chinese food spot is my new go to restaurant. The food was juicy and not dry. The chow mein was incredible. I highly recommend the chicken and potato soup if you like curry flavors. The customer service is great. I can't wait to go back.“
“I ordered the Wor WonTon Soup and I’m so happy I did. I’ve been under the weather and this clear broth with veggies and meat is perfect. The broth flavor is delicate but complex enough to be filling on its own. The wontons are not over cooked nor are any veggies, meat or shrimp ?. Exactly what I was looking for AND at a great price. I also got a BBQ Pork skewer and veggie eggrolls which are also on point. The pork had the flavor of Pork and Seeds - it’d be killer with mustard.I took the dish to go - the soup was clearly made fresh as I waited. It was (is) still perfectly hot now that I’ve reached home and am enjoying it.I even called them to say thanks cuz I was soooo happy. Try it you just might love it ?.The actual atmosphere is nothing special but it is clean and well lit. I’ll be back for their other entrees !Parking: These is a lot right across the street if they don’t have any spots out front open. I did not have trouble parking around 3pm on a Thursday afternoon.“
“I love this place my uncle has been taking me here since I was little and now have grown up and take my kids with me to get take out! It truly is the best authentic spot I can think of the walnut shrimp, 3 favor kung pow, Orange chicken, chicken chowmein, war wonton soup, all of it is delicious and cooked with love and authinticy! ?“
“Stopped in on a whim, found super friendly employees allowing me to browse, and ended up buying some things even though I knew I couldn't finish it. Due to unfortunate circumstances on the Metro Blue Line, I had to get off at Willow Station and take a bus back to DTLB. There was a 20 minute wait, so as I was walking from the Metro station to the bus stop, I stopped into Rose Donuts and Chinese Fast Food. It's an interesting combination, for sure. I had already eaten lunch, but the donuts looked good, so got 20 donut holes (10 for $2) and a Donut Bar - Chocolate glazed for $1.55...to go. No sales tax for donuts, since they are not considered a prepared food. As suspected, when I got home, I was able to finish the donut...and it was delicious. The donut holes were for the next day, and they were still edible ('m sure it would have been great fresh)..but became too hard by the following night. My bad for ordering too much. As the sign says, they also serve prepared chinese food from a steam tray, and have ice blended smoothies and breakfast and deli sandwiches. Took pictures of the menu and later realized that the chinese food menu doesn't have prices. The turnover of the food on that steam tray didn't seem to be too fast, though just a guess.“
“Their lunch specials are great especially when you need something fast, affordable, and nearby. Their service is good, but they're not the friendliest people, but they're a mom and pop shop with their kids working so what do you expect. Anyways I'm not there for small talk or to make friends or anything. Most of their food is good I like everything there minus the salt and pepper fish filet nothing like the other Chinese restaurants. It's a to-go place so no dining in. Sometimes there's a line, but they're pretty fast. I like how it's walking distance from my house too“
“The service was fast and good. The waiter gave us some additional time to go over the menu and returned promptly when we were ready to order. The food came out fast and was hot. Fried rice was not greasy. Restaurant was clean and no wait time. Definitely will come back and try the noodles.“
“The food is good but it is not worth the price. I got the pho combination which was 16 dollars. I would not mind the price but they are stingy with the meat. I would not bother coming back when there are so many other options that are worth the price of admission.“
“Amazing Mongolian bbq. The service is great and the food is always always amazing. It's a bit busy at times but the way the food is you can't blame them! Definitely recommend as an alternative to the GenKahn Mongolian bbq in the malls.“
“One of the best galbi tang I've had and not just in the South Bay, but all of LA. I've been to plenty of places in Ktown and I still prefer Hansol. The portion is huge, bachan is delicious, and the meat is juicy. They give you two giant ribs per portion. I can't speak to anything else on the menu since this is all I ordered, but my friend also enjoys their chicken katsu. 100% worth coming. To go is equally good. Great for a cold day!“
“I really like this joint. Such great hours and impressive variety. People are nice here and it's got a cheery atmosphere. You can totally get down and show off here. When I go here, I like to show off. I like to be myself. I like to be different. I like when other people are different too. I like when people enjoy laughing. I like when we smile at ourselves and others.“
“Thank you to our server "Shirley" it was our first time at a hot pot ever and she was great...chuckled when we asked for a fork. Lol ? it was a great experience and food kept coming to our table. We finished our food and broth, it was delicious. Took my chopsticks ? home to practice for next visit. Thank you "HAPPY SHEEP" in Torrance“
“Amazing flavor, beautiful ambiance, friendly and knowledgeable staff! We took my mother out of a birthday diner and all she wanted was good quality Chinese food and Lotus Asian grill hit every mark. Family friendly portions with food that is bursting with flavor. By far some of the best Asian-American cuisine we have had! Their prices are more than competitive especially with how tasty the food was. Our server Mike greeted us with a warm smile and was very attentive to us! 10/10 would recommend and definitely will be back. Thank you Lotus for an amazing experience.“
“We love this place. Call ahead and save yourself some time. When you get there be sure to get in line to pay for your phone order and you'll be set! I get #26 fish and shrimp (sole) my SO gets #23 fish shrimp and scallops (red snapper). I always get an extra side of hush puppies bCZ two is just not enough!“
“I’ve go to this restaurant at least once a month. Everything on the menu is good. My favorite is the brisket Pho, pork egg rolls, shrimp rice wraps, chowmein and the hot jasmine tea. The hot tea is loose leaf, served in a lil tea pot. So you may pour yourself as you go. They will give you a to go cup for what’s left as well. All the condiments are on the tables already included the chop sticks and straws. They have fountain drinks and drinks in the refrigerator for you to choose. My favorite is the jarrito guava or the parrot guava. They also have glass bottles YooHoo and snacks like chips and chocolate bars at the front. The place is good for kids. My daughter enjoys the quiet ambience and the seating fits your party comfortably. The owner Steve and his wife are amazing nice people. The parking is ample as well. My favorite restaurant overall especially for taking my toddler.“
“I ordered the shrimp rice bowl and the popcorn chicken. The popcorn chicken was nice and juice, my kid loved it. I didn't realize the shrimp wasn't deveined or deshelled, and it was slightly overcooked. I craved more of the pickled carrots and I believe if they added pickles onions it would set it off for real for real. The meal as a whole was good though.“
“We had a family birthday gathering, perfect place for a big family. Ordered the small family feast and it was a lot of food more than it said on the menu. Everything delicious. Servers kick butt they are prompt in getting you everything you ask for and super friendly.“
“I only venture this place for their Chicken Curry! Savory tender, medium spicy curry made just right with perfect sized carrot pieces added with the chunks of perfect chicken The staff is friendly no bells or whistles, they concentrate on just good wholesome Asian food. No overpricing and so even pleasing to your pocket , well worth itYou can sit in or take out, very simple no fuss no bougie motif! So if your in the LAX area looking for somewhere to eat, check into Pagoda's You'll be satisfied you did!Other tasty food items available :Chicken CurrySpicy Fried RiceTeriyaki ChickenBeef Broccoli Fried Jumbo Shrimp Egg Rolls“
“Jjamppong Jajangmyeon was all delicious^^The owner was also very friendly, so I was able to have a comfortable and enjoyable meal. The table is large, so it would be nice to come with family or have a company dinner.I’ll stop by again next time!“
“Bought a take out. I didn't have high hope since I order 30mins before restaurant. But how wrong was I. The foods were done fast and wow, they also taste amazing, and fresh. If I ever want Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken I 100% will come back here again. House special beef is also great. The store owner are friendly as well. I would have dine there as well if I had time cuz the place looks clean.“
“This delightful Chinese restaurant in town has become my absolute favorite. The food here is not only healthy but also incredibly tasty, and the portions are generous. The ambiance is spotless and vibrant, creating a welcoming atmosphere. The service provided by the staff is truly excellent. Lee and her brother, Harry, who own the place, exude class and warmth. If you choose to dine in, you'll be treated to a complimentary dessert. Every time I visit, the restaurant is bustling with eager customers waiting to be seated--a clear testament to its exceptional cuisine. Moreover, the prices are exceptionally reasonable. I wholeheartedly recommend this fantastic Chinese dining experience.“
“4.25 STARS DEFINITELY TRY THIS PLACE. Service was wonderful. Our server was attentive and helpful with suggestions for our next visit. I will be trying the Mongolian Beef next time The cream cheese wontons were tasty, seasoned with Chives and green onions ( I think they could have fried a tad longer). My General Tsos Chicken was amazing. The flavor was bold and the chicken was in small pieces and very soft to chew. The spice was mild, but builds. My nose was runny by the end. This was our first time here and we debated on coming in as the facade is attached to an old Ramada and isn't very inviting... GO IN!!! The dining room is very clean and tidy. All the tables are preset and, again, very clean.“
“I've tried to eat here before but the orders were backed up! Which was only a good sign that the food was good. Finally, I was able to order take out and it was great! Very flavorful, good price and the guy that worked there brought it out to me in my car! That was sweet of him. They have an extensive menu and good lunch specials too. You have to try it!“
“I finally decided to try this place out and I was not disappointed! I had the spicy seafood noodle soup, it was so good and portion was large too! The gentleman who took the order was very nice and polite, I definitely will come back here again!“
“The attention is excellent! Friendly! Cristofer the very attentive waiter! The delicious food! I would give the tickets 10/10, very good quality and price. Exquisite rich food. The portions are quite large! The drinks are very delicious lemonades. I will return next year.Kid-friendliness: No problemWheelchair accessibility: Yeah“
“Excellent little Chinese place with great food and service. Authentic handmade dumplings are delicious, especially the lamb dumplings, which are hard to find in this area. The noodles and special entrees are good as well. Dine in and take out now available.“
“most people would probably label No. 1 Chef as a hole in the wall but I would rather label them as a hidden gem ?. Been eating here for about 5 years now and it’s still exquisite every single time. I really enjoy the authenticity and proper quality of their dishes. Thank you No. 1 Chef for always keeping your food fresh and delicious.“
“Not sure why more people haven't posted pictures here. The food is very good for a fast food place! Full of flavor and good quality, fresh ingredients! Vegetables were nice and crispy, not soggy and watered down. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. I'm not really a fan of fast food, Chinese places. But this place is definitely going to continue to get my business! The portions are big and priced, right!“
“The BOMB!!! This is my favorite restaurant for Chinese noodles - since they’re always moist. Whenever I fly into LA (it’s a must to drop by and pick up a plate that’ll last all day). Seriously the portion sizes are wonderful ?. Been coming here for over a decade & I hope they stick around the neighborhood for many more years to come.“
“Ruiji is a great visit for authentic Sichuan cuisine. They have some of the normal western dishes, but also some more authentic items you wouldn’t find at other Chinese restaurants. My friend got the General Tso and it was good, but a little on the sweet side for me. I prefer more savory and spicy when I order this dish. I got the Sichuan Popcorn Chicken. It was nice and spicy, salty, and savory with garlic and a nice amount of sichuan pepper and red chilis. I hope to try other dishes when I visit again.“
