“This place is so good. We decided to try it for the first time, we ended up with the wrong order but they were very kind and remade the order correctly for us. Let me tell you, this is some of the best food I’ve had in a while! There is a bit of a wait but the wait is worth it. When the chef brought order out for us he was so excited and asked us to try it in front of him because he was so proud of his food. Anyone who is proud of what they make makes amazing food“

“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

“This place has one of the best fried chickens I have had in LA.

Mountain of fried chicken in an aluminum pan wrapped in a brown paper bag. I ordered and picked up

The chicken has a minimal hard crispy shell, tastes like Chinese food with a professional level of garlic flavor.

35 piece was about right for 4 people. But the 50 is better for leftovers.
