“Arrived less than an hour before closing but they weren’t busy so they invited our party of 5 inside after seeing our hesitancy outside the front door. I wish I got their names but they were incredibly hospitable, helping us figure out how to best enjoy the dishes we ordered (we’re still learning about Korean cuisine) and were really accommodating. And everything was amazing!! We got the ox bone soup with beef brisket, mul naeng-myon (cold noodles with beef and pickled radish), haemul nok-du jeon (korean pancake with squid and shrimp and clam), and the spicy galbi-jjim (braised beef short ribs) which was our favorite.Highly highly recommend, can’t wait to go back!“
“Love letter pizza and chicken is so good! Local mom and pop shop with amazing chicken and pizza. The salad could use some work but the main dishes hit home for sure. I recommend getting the crust fill in and the fried chicken! Best local Korean fried chicken near Gardena!“
“Galbi, Corn Cheese, and Soju just make the perfect night out ! Kko Kko Yang is literally the hidden gem for amazing Korean BBQ in Gardena! I can't believe I only found out about this place recently and I've lived in Southbay LA all my life! We got their brisket and galbi which was so tender and delicious. They have so many good sides such as their steamed egg, soybean soup, kimchi pancake, and banchan, and we even ordered some refreshing cold noodles on the side. My favorite part was pouring the corn cheese in the galbi and letting it sizzle on the grill! This place is known for their gopchang, aka intestines, but they have so many unique cuts of meat here to grill! We tried their gopchang, daechang, abomasum and beef heart as well, and the staff really knows how to cook these cuts! Nothing was overly chewy and it's hard to find places that can do this right. Definitely recommend checking them out the next time you want a delicious and different KBBQ experience!“
“Found this place by accident! We went to another place for Korean bbq but the menu didn't look great so we did a quick google search and found this hidden gem! The service was great and everything came out do quickly! I got the soup & my partner got the galbi that came with a small soybean soup. Everything was super flavorful and I think we both agreed that we must visit this place again of we're craving a comforting meal.“
“Husband and I went out for a late night snack while lodging at a nearby hotel. Food was good and atmosphere quite alright. They had all kinds of stuff on the menu. Restaurant was clean and the folks serving us were super nice. If you need anything just press the button. It’s the Korean way. We look forward to being back.“
“This place is a gem, I am so glad to have finally tried their food. There are lots of scrumptious options to choose from and right when I think I've made up my mind on what to get I spot the daily specials board. Mind you I did get in late for dinner so they were mostly sold out of their specials but I did not leave disappointed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, they make you feel like family. The chili is DELICIOUS! I loved it, I even took a pint of it home. Their poke is good, it was marinated with sesame oil and green onions. I also ordered a bento box and the somen salad and brocolli medley were the best parts. Overall a solid place to have a satisfying meal.“
“The dining experience at this restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. From the moment I stepped in, the welcoming atmosphere set the stage for a delightful evening. The food was absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that left me craving more. Additionally, the service was impeccable, with attentive staff ensuring that every need was met promptly. Overall, I couldn’t have asked for a better dining experience and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for exceptional food and service.“
“The cleanest broth I had ever tasted in my life. Typical Korean restaurant that serves different kinds of soups. Great service, food was out quickly and the staff was attentive. Everything was delicious.Parking: Lots of parking in non peak hours.“
“For the ultimate Korean-Chinese dining experience in South Bay, look no further. Dive into authentic Jja Jang Myeon and Jjam Ppong at this must-visit establishment. Whether you're new to Korean cuisine or a seasoned foodie, it's the perfect starting point. Don't miss out on trying the Gan Jja Jang--it's a rare find with its smoky wok flavor, generous portions of diced onions and squash, and a less oily consistency compared to traditional Jja Jang Myeon. Highly recommended!“
“My wife and I came in on a Sunday afternoon, at first we were going to have something else originally but my wife and I decided let's get some KBBQ. We googled and we wanted to try some place new. Yellow Cow was the place and we are sure glad we found this place. It wasn't crowded which my wife and I prefer and were seated immediately. We were greeted with such amazing genuine hospitality and service, that we knew we were in the right place. The gentlemen who first took our order was so kind and a absolute delight, I wish I had gotten his name. My wife and I ordered the prime brisket for our 2 options and the quality of the brisket was phenomenal, it also comes with fresh salad & complementary sides. The gentlemen who took our order were also kind enough to lay our meat down on the grill before we started to cook, which I thought was a nice touch of service. The ladies were so sweet and full of love that it was radiating off of them and made us feel so welcomed. When they would come around to our table they made sure we were ok and comfortable and asked how everything was. One of the ladies even gave us some recommendations on how we could incorporate the side dishes with the BBQ which we thought was very thoughtful and pleasant. All in all we are giving the Yellow Cow a 5-star due to everyone's effort, genuineness, service, ambiance & food. I highly recommend if you're looking for all the above. We will be coming back for sure. ?“
“Absolutely love this place. I think we've been eating here about once every 2 weeks for the last year or so now and it is consistenly great every time. We like the half crispy and half sweet spicy wings the most. I love that they make it fresh on order - so you're always getting hot crispy wings every time. Definitely give this a place a try if you're looking for good korean style wings!“
“Absolutely delicious! I and my husband randomly found this place on Yelp and decided to give it a try. We were welcomed by a gentleman and instantly made us feel like home. The soup was soooo good and we kept telling ourselves to come back to try other items here while eating.“
“I lived in S Korea for two years and lived for my next meal in that beautiful country. Eating at Hwang's was like being back in Korea. if you have never had Korean food, this is the place for you to start. If you love Korean food this is one of your best choices.“
“Omg! Authentic sul lung tang (traditional korean bone broth soup) is deliciously amazing at Jun Ju. Soup is served pipping hot, broth is rich flavored & served with salt, green onions & black pepper on the side. Speaking of side, their side dishes are exquisite & authentic. You'll enjoy the unlimited fresh ban-chan (side dishes). We also ordered korean seafood pancake- served crunchy with loaded seafood. Absolutely heavenly. Service staffs are friendly & well attentive. Place is clean & seating is limited. You'll see tons of elderly Koreans as delightful customers who are enjoying their meal. Parking is plenty in the front lot. Hope you get to dine at Jun Ju and experience authentic korean cuisine. Bon appetite!“
“Probably the best sulungtang place in South Bay. We loved JinKook Sulungtang but it closed down couple of years ago. This is the best place we found since~ The only negative is that their radish kimchi is inconsistent in taste.. one day it's sour, one day it's sweet.. Other than that, great service and love the soups~“
“My college friend recommended me this place for its all you can eat. I went on a Friday by myself to try it out, lemme just say, go with another person. I learned the hard way they charge you for two people if you go solo, but anyway now I know and will go back with someone. I ate like never before before, I didn’t eat lunch on purpose to eat here and I can’t wait to go back. Staff is super fast and efficient, ima take my family this time.“
“Happy Hour Delicious Whole Chicken from here reminds me of Korea hahah the nostalgia hits hard whenever I visit! The service is fast and the lady here remembered me as a regular hahahThe environment is warm and perfect for after work chicken beer!“
“I ordered the Galbitang for $19.99 and the Galbi & Cold Noodles Combo for $32.99.Let's start with the Galbi & Cold Noodles Combo. The cold noodles left me with mixed feelings. They were decent but not outstanding, falling into the category of mediocrity. However, the Galbi stole the show. It was incredibly delicious and perfectly seasoned. The flavors were spot on, making it a highlight of the meal.As for the Galbitang, it was good but slightly on the salty side. The portion size, on the other hand, was generous, which I found to be a great value for the price. One thing that I really appreciated was the easily accessible parking lot. It made my visit much more convenient. Service was also spot on! They were super attentive and refilled the small dishes quickly.“
“Ordered 3 combo specials, the (#55) bimbimbap with vegetable in a hot pot and LA Galbi, (#56) bimbimbap with vegetable in a hot pot and beef bulgogi, and (#64) grilled fish and kimchi stew. The bimbimbap was an ideal portion if you have an average appetite, delicious and served hot in clay pots. If you have a larger appetite, I would recommend adding other dishes. I would recommend filling up on all the banchan (side dishes) as there are a diverse amount of dishes served. The galbi was well seasoned and marinated with the right amount of chewiness. The bulgogi was a bit dry so add some of the optional spicy sauce to give it an extra kick. The location is moderately busy during lunch on weekends, parking is plenty in the plaza area. Service is really nice and quick.Parking: Not a large plaza but plenty of parking available for your visit“
“First time being there and we ❤️ it. VERY friendly and lovely family owned restaurants I love that they have an couple's and group menu for one price. They cook the meat in front... and yes the have different selection of meat and huge varieties of sides that come with it. Everything fresh and hot. This will be me and my fiance go to spot for date night. We never had grilled ? and grilled ? before. It was great.“
“Very hospitable customer service and allowed my little Chiuahuah mix to be inside with me while I ate?? I'm very appreciative with that. they have such friendly and fast service. Fresh and hot and served with a genuine smile not to mention the occasional check ins to see how our stay was going and if we needed anything else to accommodate us?? I highly recommend this establishment to dine in or just take out. Hope to return again soon ??“
“We went there today for lunch.Omg.. this place is absolute must try!I am born and raised in Korea so I know the difference between just regular Korean restaurants to an authentic home-made restaurant. This place rocks!Just like the taste I remember how my grandma used to make!!I already see so many Korean people here. They must know like I do!!“
“Every place in this strip mall was packed on a Sunday night at 19:00 except a Japanese BBQ house and this place, Honey Dress. I love fried chicken so why not, right? The men isn't complicated but here's a primer: 1. Choose the menu item you want. 2. Choose a sauce. I normally prefer spicy foods but after trying the least spicy sauce I decided it was way too hot to be all over my food That's it. I ordered 6 drumsticks, rice cakes and a deluxe cheese fries bowl, all with the Honey Soy Garlic sauce. Tried a little bit of everything before I left just for this review. All the food was great. Looking forward to trying the other places in this strip mall but gotta admit this place will be tough to beat.“
“Jjamppong Jajangmyeon was all delicious^^The owner was also very friendly, so I was able to have a comfortable and enjoyable meal. The table is large, so it would be nice to come with family or have a company dinner.I’ll stop by again next time!“
“First time back since the remodel. Prices have gone up. They used to be like $12 a person but now they are $23.99 a person. Food wise it is still delicious and simple. We always get the brisket, beef bulgogi, and beef belly. Easy and simple choice with rice paper. So, if you are around the Gardena area looking for a quick bite and craving kbbq then Furusato might be a good option for you!! #AndrewApproved ????“
“I enjoy coming here whenever there are only 2 of us eating. Service is fast, good quality meat compared to other kbbq spots they have less variety of sides available, but they have the basic ones. If you want KBBQ without having to wait hours I highly recommend this one.“
“Was really craving bossam and came across Yuk Dae Jang which had great reviews for it! We came around 6pm on a Friday night and was seated right away. The location is pretty small so I can imagine it getting pretty busy with a wait on the weekend. Staff was friendly and attentive, no complaints here.Hubs and I ordered a medium premium bossam with icy naengmyeon noodles, and it was SO SO DELICIOUS! Loved the banchan served with the meal, especially the chives. Their kimchi was the perfect addition to the meal. We also ordered their pork and chive dumplings that you could definitely tell were made from scratch. The size of the meal was perfect split between two people. But I do have to say that I wish I skipped on the noodles and just did a large order of the bossam instead. It was that good!Definitely a must try spot for their bossam and soups!“
“This is probably the most popular place to get your lunch at from students and faculty at El Camino College. Every meeting I'm at around lunch time I see someone eating from Mr. H. I really love their spamasubi and their miso soup. It reminds me of my high school days when people would sell spamasubi from their backpacks. The place has a few tables and chairs to sit on if you are looking to dine in or wait for your food. Cool thing about their service too is they have a buzzer for when your food is ready. Sometimes it takes a little long to get the food to come out but it's always hot and ready to eat when they do.“
