“What a wonderful surprise! This small, quaint spot is serving up some seriously delicious food. I came specifically for the Baja-style fish tacos, and they did not disappoint. The fish was perfectly crispy, lightly battered, and served in generously sized tacos topped with fresh cabbage and flavorful toppings that brought everything together.
I also tried the burger, which was packed with flavor and cooked just right. The service was friendly, fast, and welcoming, making the entire experience even better.
From what I understand, this is a family-owned restaurant, and that personal touch really shows. Be sure to check their website for menu updates, as they have some exciting new items coming soon. I'll definitely be back to see what's next!“

“The brand-new CHAR WINGS are great! Less guilty than eating traditional bone-in wings, it pairs well with the magic sauce. The chicken plate is also great, which includes rice, veggies, and side salad. There is plenty of parking, so no worries on that front.“

“I've been coming here for several months and have always had good experiences, but today's visit really stood out.

My wife and I had just been involved in a serious traffic accident nearby and were waiting for a ride home. We stopped in to get something to eat since we hadn't eaten all morning. The staff was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful during a stressful situation. They made us feel welcome, helped us get settled, and even went above and beyond with a few small gestures that were greatly appreciated.

“I tried 3, the spicy eel, butter garlic crab and spicy tuna. The crab was a little disappointing, I dont know why I was expecting real crab but I obvious went in not doing a lot of research. Imitation crab, not favorite, didnt think it was worth the $. The spicy tuna was the best one! Its actually spicy, I would come back for it. This is also the first time I've been here since theres never any parking. Small lot, its probably my least favorite thing about the place. Other than that, not bad!“

“Just had the full spread at So Moon Nan Jokbal in Fullerton, and it was outstanding! The jokbal was incredibly tender, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. Every dish that came out was fresh, generous, and clearly made with care. The banchan, soups, and sides complemented the meal perfectly, making it one of the most satisfying Korean dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. The hospitality was just as memorable as the food. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Korean jokbal done right.“

“I wasn't sure what to expect driving out to Acton, but saw this spot had good reviews and I'm glad I stopped. Got the crispy fried chicken and a bowl of japchae to split with a friend, both came out hot and fresh. The chicken was just salty enough on its own without needing the sauce, definitely the highlight for me. Only thing is the parking arrangement is a little awkward, it shares a lot with a laundromat so it can feel crowded. We sat at one of the outdoor tables because it was nice weather, felt very low key and casual. I'd probably just order takeout next time instead of dealing with the seating, but the food is solid.“

“My family and I love your food. There are only two things I don’t like. The first is that the rice is very sticky, to the point that it’s difficult to separate when eating. The second is that they put too much cabbage, which honestly doesn’t have much flavor. My recommendation is to replace it with something else.

And our family's favorite dish is their potatoe pancakes! It's one off the most delicious thing you'll ever eat! I love that the had Sunkist grape soda today, which was the cherry on top!“

“Love Gangnam Kimbob so much. Very laid back atmosphere. Service is always hospitable and upbeat. Food options are plentiful and delicious. You also get a lot for your dollar here imo. The kimbop is very filling and always leaves me feeling good about my choice to eat out given the portion of veggies contained within. I usually cycle between the tonkatsu, tempura shrimp, ssam and spicy ssam kimbops, while my wife loves to order their shin ramyun. They also have some interesting combos for lunch and dinner I’ve yet to try, but come with a variety of food that seem like a great option when you don’t only crave one thing. I can’t recommend this place enough.

“Tang was exactly what we were craving after a night out. The portions were generous, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Since the soups already include rice noodles, I skipped out on the extra rice.

We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.

Overall, it was a great dining experience and a perfect choice for a morning comfort meal. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“Legit Chuncheon-style Dakgalbi.

When I go to Korea, I love eating dakgalbi. Specifically, Chuncheon-style, where the meat is cooked in a spicy sauce with vegetables and other items that you can often choose (e.g. rice cakes, ramen, udon noodles, cheese, etc). I've tried to find the best dakgalbi in Seoul, and I feel like I've only scratched the surface.

In the US, I've only had dakgalbi a few times, and before Mhat, I'd been consistently underwhelmed. But Mhat has changed what I think dakgalbi can be in the US. Mhat serves up a version that is excellent, much like the better spots that I've found in Seoul. I didn't get a cheese version, but then again, I'm not really into the Korean trend of putting cheese on everything, so things like dakgalbi and galbi jjim usually go without cheese.

In short, my favorite dakgalbi in the US so far.“

“They were not joking when they called this comfort food. I was sick, and it was raining, so I wanted something warm and hearty. This place seemed like the obvious choice, and far exceeded my expectations. Food came out fast and blistering hot, but still perfect temperature to eat right away. It was somehow nostalgic, even though it was my first time trying this dish. The tofu was extremely soft, but held its shape well, and very flavorful from absorbing the liquid. It really felt like it cured by illness.

Portion size was also very generous, which is always important. The menu was also pretty varied, I could imagine coming back multiple times and trying something new each time.“

It feels like a secret because it’s as cozy and comforting as grandma’s house. This is a spot where everyone goes to for Sundubu (Korean Spicy Tofu Soup served boiling hot), or if they want Naengmyeon (Korean Buckwheat Noodles in a icy tangy broth) on hot summer day, or Bibimbap (Stone-pot Korean mixed rice filled with vegetables and meat with a spicy gochujang sauce and sesame oil)—just something comforting, and what they’re used to. This place has been there forever, and it’s under the same owner who wants to spoil us with her Korean recipes. Beyond the great service, delicious made in house banchan aka Korean sides , fresh ingredients and all the menu favorites, you can scoop your own free ice cream in a cone!
