“Starting with the food. I got the fresh salmon, popping salmon, fluffy egg, and grilled spicy pork. I liked the fluffy egg and grilled spicy pork the best.
Fresh salmon is alright. It is what it is with basically poke quality salmon. Light and refreshing.
Popping salmon has like sort of a buldak/rameny flavor for the marinade which I didn’t like but my partner liked. Not too spicy.
Grilled spicy pork is fairly typical dwaegi gogi, which i like so i’m a little biased. i thought it was good with the yubu. Plenty of pork marinade seeping through the rice. Not very spicy.
Fluffy egg did not have as much roe as the picture lead me to believe but it was good. It also had a few salmon roe for some reason but I liked it. Nice and savory. Egg was wet-ish and soft. nice.

Prices are fairly reasonable. I’d say 3-4 would be a pretty filling meal for the average person. about $5-7 each yubu after tax. I’ve never seen a yubu restaurant before. Vibes are kind of grab and go but they have a decent amount of seating for like groups of 4-5 maybe (like 3-4 tables)

Pretty okay neat looking modern place on the inside. I might try again if I was craving something in particular. I wanted to try the Garlic Butter Crab that other reviews were talking about.“

“Best galbitang I’ve ever had in my life in the world, including any that I’ve tried in Korea. Portions were great, service was great, prices very reasonable especially considering how California can be. 10/10 would recommend this place, super comforting food.“

“The gamjatang was absolutely delicious. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the pork was tender and full of flavor. It was the perfect comfort food, especially on a cool day. I would definitely order it again.

“Tang was exactly what we were craving after a night out. The portions were generous, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Since the soups already include rice noodles, I skipped out on the extra rice.

We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.

Overall, it was a great dining experience and a perfect choice for a morning comfort meal. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“Kaju Soft Tofu still has my favorite soontofu ever: galbi soft tofu.

The crazy thing is soontofu costs $17.99 per bowl! This includes the rice bowl that comes in the stone pot. Add water to it after you remove the rice. Take it home to drink. This also includes the side dishes, like kimchi cabbage, kimchi radish, bean sprouts, etc.

You order on the tablet at your table. When you need to check out, there is an option on the tablet too.

I docked one overall star because the service was lacking. The tablet has options to ask for water or get the check, but there is no button to get to-go containers or more napkins. It was hard to flag down someone, and it took them even longer to get what we asked for.

“My family & I love this place! The food is delicious & they have kim chi fried rice & other items some place don’t offer. The staff is also super nice & you get free delicious ice cream! We’ve eaten at other places & it doesn’t come close to here . The price is so good in comparison too!“

“The seafood pancake was incredibly delicious. Such fresh ingredients. The green onions were crunchy and thick. The octopus, fish, and shrimp flavors were the right combination of salty and sweet. The egg batter just perfectly seasoned. And that outside crunch...it spoke to my soul.“

“This is my nostalgia almost like my 2nd home because of how much I love the food here. When I was a kid, I went to the one in La Palma and then the one that burned down in Rowland Heights and eventually had to close. So eventually my family would roll over to here since it was the closest to us.

I love their soups and the simple side dishes. It’s a very humble and simple place.

The day this place closes will be the end of an era, but I know this place will outlive me 🥲“

“The best Gob Chang restaurant in the Buena Park area. Food comes out already mostly cooked and is kept hot on small burner, so no bbq smell after eating. Meat quality is great, and their side dishes are the best combination of the meat. Their pork belly is great also. And definitely try their cold noodle.“

We ordered the naengmyeon and galbi combo along with a seafood pajeon, and everything was well-balanced and delicious. The naengmyeon and galbi combo was especially outstanding. The pajeon was also crispy and flavorful. The side dishes were tasty, and the staff were attentive and friendly throughout our meal. Overall, a very satisfying visit. “Been here a few times and the servers, food, cleanliness, are always spot on. It’s a mom and pop shop style of BCD. However, it’s down to earth and not commercial. I love their 순두부 (tofu soup), their 냉면 (cold noodles), and their meat quality is always good.

It’s never packed and full of older people, which means it’s calm and relaxed.

“If you like Korean-based Chinese food this place is definitely one of the best in the area. If you have a big appetite, this place will fill you up. If you have about $16 dollars and don't have a big appetite but want to share a plate with a friend, this place is it. The food court atmosphere in the market is casual and comfy. I had a seafood noodle (gigantic) bowl. The portion was really big. The noodle texture was great. Broth was great.“

“First time visiting The Source and the menu of this fast food restaurant in the 3rd floor food court immediately caught my eye. I ordered the steak tartare and it was one of the best things I ate during my short visit here. It’s a large bowl of seasoned julienned beef that is eaten over rice and bean sprouts. It comes with a small container of Kimchee and a seasoning sauce. There’s also a bowl of soup (miso?) on the side. The soup is a little bland but the steak tartare is absolutely full of flavor and delicious. If I lived here and could come to The Source regularly, I’d order this all the time!Service was quick. I was given a pager when I ordered but my food was ready in less than 3 mins. Restaurant is in a food court so the atmosphere is casual and energetic. Just find a place to sit and enjoy the delicious food.“

“This is my go-to spot whenever it’s raining or cold outside. Their Samgyetang (ginseng chicken soup) has such a clean and refreshing flavor, and the spicy chicken stew is just as delicious.
We usually order the Bossam, Jokbal (both regular and spicy), and the duck meat, and they are consistently great. Today, we tried the Kalguksu (noodle soup) for the first time, and it was very delicious.

The service is always friendly and welcoming, and the food is prepared so neatly. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a satisfying, clean meal!“

“This is my favorite 설렁탕 place! But as others have said, they serve clear 설렁탕 that has a really clean taste. Non Koreans, take note! Don’t hate on a place because it’s not to your taste. They provide the best kimchi, green onions and beef dipping sauce. Also don’t forget to put enough salt in your soup!

“Great spot for Korean bbq but they're not an all you can eat spot, nor do they have combos. Everything is a la carte so it can get pricey. But the food is good. Oh, and always ask for fried rice after the meal. You have to pay for it but it's worth it. Side note, ground gets slippery so wear something that grips. Greasy floors.“

“Very authentic and DELICIOUS korean food! I tried their pork and kimchi soon tofu, BBQ pork rib (both soy sauce and spicy sauce were really good!), and their hot stone pot rice combo with LA kalbi. “Food was decent, but I have had better Malatang places (YGF being one of them). What ended up feeling awkward was the service tip. I pick up my own food selftion (as the food is priced by the pound, based on how much I pick up) and place the orders myself at the counter, but the bill recommends tip range between 18% and 22%, after tax. I usually tip 18% or above in full service restaurants, but this one, I wasn’t so sure. Still ended up tipping as if it was a full service restaurant. Overall, four stars as it gets the job done, but food quality and services comes short of 5 stars.“

“This place is truly a home style gem. They make everything themselves, from the kimchi to all the side dishes, and everything is so fresh. It is the spot I always crave after work. The service and the food are both excellent. Highly recommend!“

“I love this place so much, I come here often with friends and the food is always so good. the staff is also very sweet and friendly. I personally reccomend the shrimp fried rice (one of the best fried rice I've had), the kimbap ramen combo (which is only available for lunch, unfortunately), the tuna mayo kimbap, odeng (fish cake skewers in broth), and a bottle of soju! Getting the bill takes a little while to get to you, but other than that, I have no complaints. They also let me practice what little Korean I know with them, so thank you!

“The restaurant is located in a small retail shopping center, but the accessibility isn't ideal due to its position at a busy intersection. The atmosphere could definitely use some improvement—a few food photos were simply propped up against the wall near the entrance, and the reception area felt a bit chaotic. Overall, the space didn’t feel particularly warm or inviting for customers.

We ordered takeout, and while the 순대국 (blood sausage soup) was excellent and tasted authentic, the 모듬순대 (assorted blood sausages) with three different types was a bit disappointing. The 왕순대 (large sausage) had a slightly chewy skin, and the others felt too moist, lacking the right texture. It felt like it was just 2% short of being great.“

“A hidden gem found by accident as I stayed in the Doubletree by Hilton nearby. Excellent beef dish with sprouts and tried for the first time silkworm pulpo soup which was better than I expected once I got over the idea and look of it. Some drunk noisy obnoxious patrons to be expected but otherwise had a great meal in a small mom and pop Korean resto. Will definitely come back and try other dishes. The waitress was also very nice and although she could not speak very well English she was very polite, nice and attentive.“

“Very authentic Korean restaurant!!

We ordered the spicy braised short ribs, seafood onion pancake and beef soup. The spicy braised short ribs is so flavorful, it comes with radish and rice cake. The beef soup reminds you in Korea, no MSG! And the seafood onion pancake is huge, good to share. Their banchan also changes everyday!

The service is friendly and many old diners and family in the restaurant- that’s how you know it’s a legit place! There’s dinner rush so come early

“I recently visited Myungin Dumpling Buena Park and wow… the dumplings were absolutely amazing.
What really surprised me though was the fried chicken — I honestly didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be just as good (if not better!). Super crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive.
Also… apologies for the lack of photos. I didn’t even think about it before digging in — I just couldn’t wait to get everything in my mouth!
On top of that, the service attendants were incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better.

“It was the first time I've had gyukatsu and it was a great experience! The employees were helpful and patient with their service. The sauces that came with the gyukatsu were so good. I also really liked the sauce on the salad that came with the set. I also had donkatsu and cream curry udon and they were both really good as well. Highly recommend. I want to try their cheese katsu next time I go.“

“I got the food to go, but I don’t think it’s a good idea. If you’re only 2-3 minutes from the store, it’s okay, but especially noodle dishes get soggy and hard to eat.

To revive the noodles, rinse them with hot water and then pour the broth over them. That’s it!

I revisited this place after a long time. They serve Korean-style Jjamppong in a huge bowl. Since it’s inside HanNam Chain Market, there’s not much atmosphere to mention, but the food quality is just as good as other places, and the prices are about $2-3 cheaper. The other Korean-style Chinese dishes are also delicious. It’s a perfect spot to grab a bite after shopping at the market when you’re feeling a bit hungry.“
