“I tried 3, the spicy eel, butter garlic crab and spicy tuna. The crab was a little disappointing, I dont know why I was expecting real crab but I obvious went in not doing a lot of research. Imitation crab, not favorite, didnt think it was worth the $. The spicy tuna was the best one! Its actually spicy, I would come back for it. This is also the first time I've been here since theres never any parking. Small lot, its probably my least favorite thing about the place. Other than that, not bad!“

“This is THE spot for gamja tang in the OC. The soup base here is spot on. It's just so savory and smooth and flavorful. The steamed pork cabbage wraps are to die for. And our family's favorite dish is their potatoe pancakes! It's one off the most delicious thing you'll ever eat! I love that the had Sunkist grape soda today, which was the cherry on top!“

“Traditional Korean food at its best. They have a great variety of dishes, and I liked that the food wasn’t overly salty. Everything tasted fresh and authentic. The service was fast and attentive, and the staff made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The meat dishes were excellent, and the cold noodles were clean, refreshing, and full of flavor. I’ve tried many Korean restaurants, and this is definitely one of the better ones. I will be coming back again.“

“Not only the gomtang (beef bone soup) but all the other dishes here are delicious, too. We ordered the budae-jjigae (army base stew); the portion was generous, and it tasted great.
And the server was so friendly. We had an even better time thanks to the server who took care of us.“
“I stumbled upon this gem and soooo happy to have found. The service is beautiful and the food is to die for. I was offered a delicious pumpkin drink that blew my mind. Grabbed a couple of items, including kimchi to reduce my cooking this week. On my list of gems now 🫶🏽🔥“

“Tang was exactly what we were craving after a night out. The portions were generous, and the side dishes complemented the meal well. Since the soups already include rice noodles, I skipped out on the extra rice.
We ordered the soondae guk and the galbi tang. The galbi was rich and flavorful. The highlight of the meal was the soondae (blood sausage). The texture was different, filled with a mixture of pork blood and noodles.
Overall, it was a great dining experience and a perfect choice for a morning comfort meal. Definitely a spot worth returning to.“

“I used to live in Buena Park and came here at least once a month. Way better than bcd imo and the side dishes are what make me come back. I was a little sad that I couldn't pack the side dishes to go, but other than that very good experience. My son and daughter loved the robot waiter. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the area“

“The seafood pancake was incredibly delicious. Such fresh ingredients. The green onions were crunchy and thick. The octopus, fish, and shrimp flavors were the right combination of salty and sweet. The egg batter just perfectly seasoned. And that outside crunch...it spoke to my soul.“

“All the banchans (free) were delicious and they gave at least 6 different kinds! They do not skimp on ingredients. The main dishes were absolutely delightful and huge in portion. It feels like your at your aunt's home with warm service and loving care. Such a wonderful heartfelt experience!! Not a fancy interior... more of a soulfood atmosphere!“

“Hangyang has been one of the must visit places ever since I found it about 15 years ago when I visited Anaheim for blizzcon. The place only serves a limited staple of Korean food but what they serve they do them so well that it's worth going just for that small menu. Over the years they expanded their menu but their staple imo is the galbi tang or beef bone soup. It comes with 2 pieces of large beef bones. The soup is delicious and is paired perfect with the mustard sauce.
There are other delicious offering such as the thistle rice bowl. I'd say because of the limited menu everything is great. The parking lot can be packed especially in the weekend as all the church goes come by. Most of the clienteles are usually middle aged or older so you know they know what authentic Korean food is.
The service is extremely efficient and very friendly. The place is clean just like most Korean restaurants. Nothing to complain about. Order the galbi tang and you'll be coming back.“

“One of the best Mala ive ever had in the US. It tasted exactly like the malatang in korea and it wasnt too spicy or too sweet. The owner was so nice to us, and the workers were helpful and nice. The materials are fresh and the broth tastes really good.“

“I visited a Korean sushi place in Buena Park, CA, and tried their assorted sashimi combo, it was incredibly generous and offered excellent value. The combo featured several types of fish, including tuna, salmon, halibut, and two white-fleshed varieties perfect for dipping in Korean gochujang sauce. The dish was served with crisp perilla leaves and an assortment of sides. To top it off, I enjoyed a delicious fish roe egg soup (al tang) and a bomb abalone porridge.
Also, the servers were incredibly sweet and attentive, which only enhanced the dining experience. Plus, if you're in the mood for drinks, they offer alcohol, making it a fun spot to join friends for a night out (although I didn't partake).
Overall, I’d rate this place a solid 10/10 for its food quality, service, and ambiance.
Note: Unlike Japanese sashimi, which is typically flash-frozen, Korean sashimi (hwal) is often served with live fish, ensuring an exceptionally fresh taste. Enjoy!“

“The 3 of us came here for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We were the first customers buy soon after several others followed suit. The restaurant is clean, it is a Korean Chinese grill. You get the skewers with Chinese flavors accompanied with Korean banchan side dishes. We definitely enjoyed the beef knuckles, which is different from the beef tendon apparently. The lamb skewers are well seasoned however we like the beef skewers a bit better. The chicken knee is good, it takes a bit longer to cook. The king oyster mushrooms is not bad. Skip the squid. BTW the salad is really fresh with excellent dressing and it's refillable.“

“A hidden gem found by accident as I stayed in the Doubletree by Hilton nearby. Excellent beef dish with sprouts and tried for the first time silkworm pulpo soup which was better than I expected once I got over the idea and look of it. Some drunk noisy obnoxious patrons to be expected but otherwise had a great meal in a small mom and pop Korean resto. Will definitely come back and try other dishes. The waitress was also very nice and although she could not speak very well English she was very polite, nice and attentive.“

“This place is highly underrated. Among the katsu restaurants in the area, it offers the best service and taste. The accompanying side dishes are also of excellent quality.
Servers frequently stopped by to check on the table and ask if we needed anything. We had a thoroughly satisfying experience.“

“I had a great dining experience at Gunul Korean Restaurant. This is a wonderful spot for authentic Korean cuisine in a comfortable and welcoming setting.
The restaurant has a clean and cozy atmosphere, making it a great place for both casual meals and family gatherings. The seating is comfortable, and the overall environment feels relaxed and inviting.
The food was excellent. Every dish we ordered was flavorful, fresh, and well-prepared. The balance of seasoning was just right, and the ingredients tasted high-quality. The banchan (side dishes) were also a highlight — fresh, varied, and perfectly complemented the main dishes.
The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The staff made sure everything was served promptly and checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed, without being intrusive.
Overall, Gunul Korean Restaurant is a great choice for anyone looking for authentic Korean food with consistent quality and excellent service. I would definitely recommend it and look forward to coming back again.“
“The side dishes and giblets seasoning were so delicious, and the unglazed cuts were easy to eat, and the water sashimi was also a delicacy.“

“I recently visited Myungin Dumpling Buena Park and wow… the dumplings were absolutely amazing.
What really surprised me though was the fried chicken — I honestly didn’t expect much, but it turned out to be just as good (if not better!). Super crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive.
Also… apologies for the lack of photos. I didn’t even think about it before digging in — I just couldn’t wait to get everything in my mouth!
On top of that, the service attendants were incredibly friendly, which made the whole experience even better.
Definitely coming back again!“

“Local guide coming in hot ya'll sit back and relax at the best Gyukatsu restaurant in all of Orange County (both north and south county). I couldn't be more pleased with a full stomach and memories to last a lifetime. My wife and I frequent Japan where we enjoy some of the best gyukatsu in the entire world. With that being said, this particular restaurant, located in the beautiful Buena Park, CA is a close second place runner up. Haven't really tried any other similar restaurants stateside but if I did I'd bet it wouldn't come close to the culinary masterpiece this place lays down on the regular. Do yourself a favor and come and eat here and make sure to order the premium beef katsu with a side of fluffy whipped cream lookin delicious don noodles. Mic drop local guide out.“

“First time visiting The Source and the menu of this fast food restaurant in the 3rd floor food court immediately caught my eye. I ordered the steak tartare and it was one of the best things I ate during my short visit here. It’s a large bowl of seasoned julienned beef that is eaten over rice and bean sprouts. It comes with a small container of Kimchee and a seasoning sauce. There’s also a bowl of soup (miso?) on the side. The soup is a little bland but the steak tartare is absolutely full of flavor and delicious. If I lived here and could come to The Source regularly, I’d order this all the time!Service was quick. I was given a pager when I ordered but my food was ready in less than 3 mins. Restaurant is in a food court so the atmosphere is casual and energetic. Just find a place to sit and enjoy the delicious food.“

“We came here for lunch on Sunday for the first time and it exceeded our expectations. We usually go to Baekjong in this area for KBBQ but decided to venture out this time. We're glad we ended up at this restaurant. There were 3 other tables occupied so we were seated right away. We ordered the seafood pancake (Haemul Pajeon), cold buckwheat noodle soup (Mul Naengmyeon) combo with spicy pork. The pancake has plenty of squid, shrimp and clams in there, a good balance with the amount of green onion and batter. The skillet pan is a bit too hot and burned the bottom part of the pancake. The sauce that comes with it is nice and tangy. I'll give it a 3/5.
The cold noodle soup is really nice, the noodles are very chewy, the soup is icy and refreshing. It's topped with half boiled egg, sliced pork and cucumber. There's mustard and vinegar on the side to balance out the soup profile based on personal preferences. I wish there's a scissor or the staff offers to cut the noodles as they are quite chewy. (4/5). The spicy pork has a good balance of gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, minced garlic, mirin, sesame oil, ginger and syrup. It's cooked with the right amount of char. (4/5).
When paying, the lady asked me to put the tip on Zelle, instead of the whole amount on my credit card, which was rather inconvenient.“

“Their food is always bomb. Their kimchi is amazing and they have legit clear sul lung tang that is very healthy for you vs the other places that give you the white broth (apparently it is bad for you). Their 따로국밥 is really good too! I always eat so well here and will keep coming back“

“I stopped by this place during lunch hour, I was recommended th Gamja Tang Lunch special by the waitress how seem to primarily speak Korean (good sign the food is legit). The plate was huge and it came in with plenty of little side dishes, as you can see on the picture.Price was super affordable for all the food I was served. This is the first time I've tried this specific plate, but based on pure taste buds, the food was great and I would love to come back to try the rest of the menu.“

“If someone (including non-Koreans) asks me, I can easily say this is hands down one of the best Korean cuisines in Southern California.
They serve authentic Korean foods that anyone can enjoy.
Not too spicy, nor MSG after- taste, simply delicious 😋.
You can't go wrong with anything they offer on the menu, even to complimentary side dishes. Seafood pancake is something I always order to go when I treat guests at home.
It's not fancy looking from outside (which is why I gave 4 stars for the atmosphere), but the owner, who's very friendly on the phone, makes you feel completely at home while dining in there.
I highly recommend this unique Korean restaurant without hesitation to anyone!“

“If you order one naengmyeon (cold noodles) here, they give you an extra noodle refill for free. If you get the water naengmyeon, you can try a small bibim (spicy) naengmyeon on the side. It’s basically a 'buy one, get a half free' deal.
Their grilled galbi (short ribs) is delicious too.
I highly recommend ordering a water naengmyeon, enjoying it with the half-portion of bibim noodles, and pairing it all with the galbi.“

“The restaurant is located in a small retail shopping center, but the accessibility isn't ideal due to its position at a busy intersection. The atmosphere could definitely use some improvement—a few food photos were simply propped up against the wall near the entrance, and the reception area felt a bit chaotic. Overall, the space didn’t feel particularly warm or inviting for customers.
We ordered takeout, and while the 순대국 (blood sausage soup) was excellent and tasted authentic, the 모듬순대 (assorted blood sausages) with three different types was a bit disappointing. The 왕순대 (large sausage) had a slightly chewy skin, and the others felt too moist, lacking the right texture. It felt like it was just 2% short of being great.“
