“Taste :4.4/5Environment: 4.2/5Service:4.3/5It's a mecca for Korean food lovers located in Buena Park. To start with, brace yourselves because this spot doesn't take reservations, which means you might need to wait for about 40-60 minutes.Highly RecommendTheir Braised Beef Short Ribs is perfection on a plate. These short ribs are tender, succulent and boasts a superb flavor profile.Parking: Free park lots“
“the korean food here was amazing all three items were delicious! one of the best boneless korean fried chicken ive had! the chicken was so juicy and flavorful and amazing with the rose sauce. breading is a little much but besides that chicken was good. not pictured was the kimchi fried rice but that was perfect too! it was busy since it was a late saturday night but we ended up getting seated outside and it was so fun! music and service was amazing and chris and dana were so nice! it was our first time but me and my friends will definitely be back! the photo booth was a great addition!“
“I think overall it went over my expectations. Definitely getting your money's worth of experience. Most of the side dishes you get your own which is great if there are specific types of side dishes you get a lot with kbbq, and options are really great. Each of the meat orders comes smaller compared to what you usually get in all you can eat kbbq, which I see as a good thing as you can control more portions and less food waste. The food quality is what you'd expect, it's not gonna blow your mind but still really good for the price you are paying. Only complaint is that I wish there was more seating provided for wait, we went on Sunday 5pm for two people and waited in car for an hour.“
“Seems simple. Looks like maybe "i could make this at home" but it is not. It is 10/10 actually and unironically the best thing ive had all year. And i get sushi ALOT. This is great. And i think other ppl have noticed too cuz ive been here twice an hour before closing and they've run out.“
“(Disclaimer, i do not know the difference between "authentic" korean food and "fast food" korean food) i've been going back and forth about this review whether or not this was a 4 or 5 star review. I went ahead with 5 stars because ultimately the flavor prevailed. i want you to imagine Panda Express or Chipotle but KBBQ. My suggestion is to actually have customers walk the line vs order at a kiosk and then wait for your number. Ultimately I feel like the wait will be similar and it's visually appealing to the customer knowing the last piece is just to pay and you'll enjoy your food. Prices were reasonable however you get more veggies vs. meat. The favor is ultimately top tier. I prefer my bulgogi to be with a slight char but this was authentic (i think) The banchan (not pictured) was fresh and so good! The spicy cucumber and fish cakes are my favorite! I can eat those with white rice and be done! This place needs all the flowers because it is unique in its own way and very good. Peeked in the back of house and saw what looked like quality ingredients. (based on videos i've seen on social media about korean cooking lol)“
“King Chang left an indelible mark with its exceptional service and culinary prowess. The dedication to customer satisfaction was evident from the moment we stepped in, even amidst the Saturday night rush. The servers went above and beyond, exhibiting attentiveness and kindness that elevated the entire dining experience. It's rare to find such a perfect balance of efficiency and warmth. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the large intestines, surpassing the small ones in both flavor and texture. The meticulous preparation showcased a culinary expertise that set King Chang apart. Each bite was a journey through rich and savory notes, leaving an undeniable impression. The smaller combo, designed for 2 to 3 people, proved to be ample, catering to varying appetites. The variety of Korean side dishes provided a delightful symphony of flavors, and the soybean paste stood out as a star among stars. Its depth of flavor added a distinctive touch to the meal. As a connoisseur of Korean cuisine, I can confidently say that King Chang serves the best intestines in town, a true gastronomic delight. I eagerly anticipate my return to savor more culinary treasures from their menu and to bask in the warmth of their impeccable service. King Chang is undoubtedly a gem in the realm of Korean dining, deserving of accolades for its outstanding offerings and commitment to culinary excellence.“
“I have NO problems with this place. The only issue is I eat so much until I'm literally like a stuffed sausage. ??? my favorite KBBQ place to go to. You won't be disappointed✌???????Parking: The place gets packed, get there when it opens. It fills fast. ✌???“
“Walked in on a Saturday night - it wasn't too busy and we were seated immediately. We ordered the Choose 3 Combination (M), Kimchi Cold Noodle, and Beef Tartare. Service was fast and the staff were great! The Kimchi Cold Noodle was super refreshing and cuts the fattiness of the intestine. The beef tartare was also very fresh and a generous portion. There were only 2 of us so we had a lot of leftovers to take home haha. A solid gobchang spot!“
“There are several platters available. Beef and Pork. The plate for two includes so much food and is plenty for two as indicated. Refills of banchan are available. Their kimchi is a MUST. They offer cilantro which I don't see in most KBBQ spots and it surprisingly pairs well with the rest of the food. The staff grills your food and their menu indicates for patrons not to tip.“
“Old place but I guess the ownership was changed 2 yrs ago. They serve very nice crispy donkatsu, not slim meat and serve Korean old fashioned cream soup. Not too long wait but Tasty Dinkatsu! Not too expensive but enough portion and nice sevice.“
“Finally made it here!! My husband and I went here for date night recently and we ordered the two kinds of meat, the creamy udon, and the cheese tonkatsu. We happen to come on a Friday night a little after they open and luckily it wasn't busy just yet. The service was really fast and the quality of the meat was amazing! The cheese tonkatsu was a bit heavier so by the time we finished grilling our meats and eating some of the udon, we were too full to finish the cheese tonkatsu. The creamy udon is a beef curry udon with a topped layer of this special cream that has this grainy texture similar to mashed potatoes. It was good to try, but I wouldn't get it again. I'll probably try the other noodles that they offer. I really enjoyed the concept of grilling the meat in front of you to your liking. It comes as a set so it was a perfect meal. Will be back with some friends!“
“The best place to eat if you are craving ssam! It’s a bit pricey but so worth it. If you have a large party coming in def reserve because we waited like 30 mins. (worth it)The shop is a bit run down and small but it’s not hard to find parking.“
“The best service I've seen at a Shabu place!I'm allergic to peanuts and eggs, which most Shabu places I've found have not been very accommodating. But Miss Shabu has the most friendly staff as they wrote on the menu notes on what foods I'm allergic to and which ones are good. They were very efficient with setting up our table of 16 and were flexible when we had less people than expected. The food was really good for a decent price. For dinner and drinks and tea, we spent about $50 and got 2 different soup bases, had many different types of sides, and plates on top of plates of meat. Definitely recommend this Shabu place if you were looking for one in Buena Park.“
“DELICIOUS dumplings and DELICIOUS fried chicken!!! This restaurant is a hidden gem with their wide selection of all kinds of different homemade dumplings. My favorites are the #1 king dumplings (their most popular), #7 boiled shrimp and pork dumplings, and #5 sweet red bean dumplings. The fried chicken is also delicious with their homemade sauce!“
“A soft tofu restaurant located in the Buena Park area of Los Angeles. In LA, it is a Korean restaurant as famous as 'BCD Bukchang-dong Soft Tofu' and is a restaurant where you have to wait. There is a jangseung standing right at the entrance, giving a Korean feel. The interior is spacious, and as expected from a specialty restaurant, there are 14 different types of soft tofu. In addition, you can taste a wide variety of Korean food, including pot rice, bulgogi, ribs, galbitang, kimchi stew, naengmyeon, pork cutlet, and bossam. The food tastes the same as eating it in Korea and is very delicious. There are a variety of side dishes and they are all delicious. In the case of soft tofu, there are as many as seven levels of spiciness, so you can choose to suit your taste. Since the rice is served in a stone pot, it is nice to be able to cook rice by pouring water into the stone pot after taking out the rice. This is a restaurant I want to visit again.“
“The food was great! I had the Wagyu Galbi which is short ribs with rice, cole slaw and kale salad. Very delicious. The food was prepared quickly. The sides were good and the meat was excellent. Tender well and well seasoned. I will be going back here. Limited number of tables to eat at inside.Parking: Reasonable amount of parking, I'm sure at lunch it's crowded“
“Great spot for Korean casual / comfort food! For a party of 7, we were left feeling satisfied with the amount of food we ordered. Very affordable and amazing service! We got seated instantly as it wasn't busy on a Saturday night. What we ordered: - 2 steamed pork belly set (bossam) - 1 seafood pancake - sides of rice to carb up - 1 terra & 2 jinro is back to drink! The highlight of our meal was actually the sides. The kimchi and radish kimchi were so good that we asked for multiple refills. We also enjoyed the seafood pancake. Would love to come back and try the soup (tang) as the restaurant name speaks for itself!!“
“The atmosphere is great and would be great for a family gathering or with important guests. The staff are also friendly. However, there are not many types of side dishes. And when I asked for a refill, it was resolved a little late. However, this is a restaurant I would like to visit again.“
“Not AYCE but lots of side dishes including cheese corn, poached eggs, another egg dish, bean paste soup or kimchi stew. Very good and attentive service and excellent staff. The unmarinated beef was the best. The chadol was a little tough. But the rice paper, pickled radish, dipping sauce, and salad made the meal delicious.“
“Went here for a night out, and loved it! Service was very good, the foods were very good as well. These two would have to be my favorite and the only two pictures I got to take. But we also orders some wings as well as Alfredo pasta and sea food stew. The sea food stew was so yummy but def meant for a big group of at least 4 to 6 people. The Alfredo wasn't that great as it was way too salty. The wings was good too but not too different from other places. We also ordered 3 Fish bowls (strawberry, peach and pomegranate). They were all very yummy but just a heads up, they are big. Each fish bowl is good for four people. Overall, it's a good place to hangout with friends!“
“This is such a heartwarming meal with huge portions I could say it would fill up to 2 people. The price is so cheap at $12.99! The broth is rich, the meat melts off the bone, and the spiciness hits the spot. It comes with a side of pickled radish and kimchi. The kimchi is imported from Korea, it's so good I wanted to buy as a side to take home which I will next time I come back. This place is located inside Super 1 Hanam Chain Market, I recommend stopping by whenever near the area.“
“Loved the food and atmosphere was really good. I think they serve chinese/korean food here. It was my first time visiting so we had some recommendations from sean ( our waiter) and ordered sweet and sour pork, spicy lamb kebob, beef kebob , and assorted vegetable with glass noodle. Our server came back frequently to check on our table. It was great experience overall. But only downside is that price is little bit too high. Other than that , food and service was excellent.“
“Overall, it's a commendable Korean restaurant. The fish was notably fresh; however, I found most of the side dishes to be unsatisfactory. I suggest they consider reducing the variety of side dishes and increasing the portion of fish on the plate. Additionally, they should offer customers the option to choose a menu with or without side dishes, as many patrons may prefer a simpler meal focused on the fish.“
“I submitted and ate Kingsley's Pizza. I paid $30+tax. My family of 5 ate deliciously and well. I liked it because it wasn't salty like the ones I eat in Korea, but I felt a bit nauseous after eating it. I'll have to try something else next time. May you “
“I stopped by this place during lunch hour, I was recommended th Gamja Tang Lunch special by the waitress how seem to primarily speak Korean (good sign the food is legit). The plate was huge and it came in with plenty of little side dishes, as you can see on the picture.Price was super affordable for all the food I was served. This is the first time I've tried this specific plate, but based on pure taste buds, the food was great and I would love to come back to try the rest of the menu.“
“Came here for dinner and this place satisfied my jjajangmyeon craving! Definitely one of the better places to eat jjajangmyeon from! Their tangsuyuk was solid and their stir fried jjajangmyeon was appetizing. However, it seemed like their jjajang sauce got too salty towards the bottom. It started to remind me of soy sauce rather than jjajang. But it can be a one time thing! Great relaxing place to eat for this kind of food and service was friendly!“
“On the evening of April 4th, I ordered a cheese cutlet over the phone and arrived at the store. The food was ready, but it was chicken cutlet, not cheese cutlet.I placed my order over the phone, so maybe there was poor communication. The price was different, so I calculated a new price and waited for 5 to 10 minutes before the proper food was ready. There was a male employee at the checkout counter who could have insisted that I had made a mistake in ordering, but he was very polite and admitted that he had made a mistake. They responded so kindly that I actually felt sorry. And at the end, when they packed the food, they also gave me the chicken cutlet that came out wrong. It was a moment that made me realize why Yoko Tonkatsu has been able to do business so well in Fullerton for such a long time.Boss, please raise the salary of the male cashier who worked on the evening of April 4th ^^“
“They deliver a delightful Bibimbap experience. The dish boasts a colorful array of fresh vegetables, succulent marinated beef, and a perfectly fried egg. The harmony of flavors, coupled with the interactive mixing at the table, makes it a satisfying and flavorful choice for Korean cuisine enthusiasts. The gochujang sauce adds a spicy kick, rounding out this well-executed classic. Highly recommended for a tasty journey into Korean flavors.“
“Very authentic Korean food, so glad Yelp pointed us in the right direction. Craving for some bossom and this place had some good menu items, ordered bossom of course, kimchi stew and seafood pancake, all very good, the banchan was excellent! The service was so friendly and they all speak English. Next time I'm going to try the jokbal for sure. Great first impression and we can't wait to come back for some more delicious Korean food.“
“Jang Mo Jib (장모집), which translates to "the house of the mother-in-law," has consistently exceeded my expectations. Their Kimchi and 깍두기 (radish kimchi) are consistently fresh and delicious. In Korea, there's a saying that the quality of Kimchi determines the overall quality of the food, and I've always enjoyed the consistently delicious taste of Kimchi prepared by Jang Mo Jib. On this visit, I opted for the ox knee and tendon soup (도가니탕) for health reasons, while my sister ordered the chicken noodle soup (닭칼국수) along with a dumpling plate (만두 접시). The portion of the chicken noodle soup was incredibly generous, and we couldn't finish it all, so we had leftovers to enjoy later. The meal was satisfyingly filling.“
“Dine was so good. I came with some friends and ordered a bunch of things on their menu. We ordered gamjatang, sliced smoked duck, steamed egg, seafood pancake, dolsot bibimbap, and their bossam. Everything was so good and seasoned very well. We came here randomly because we were craving Korean food but definitely satisfied our cravings. I don't really eat duck but their sliced smoked duck was so yummy. Their side dishes were also delicious. I highly recommend this Korean restaurant!!“
“The overall food is a bit disappointing. This is an area that needs to be improved considering the price, but if you pay a little more attention, I think it will become a good snack ingredient. The service overall is good, but it is a bit disappointing and the bathroom needs maintenance. The price of soju is 12.99, which is high, and the snacks are also not cost-effective.“
“One my favorite restaurant in Buena Park, but it may not be well suited for everyone since I had mix feedback from different people ive taken over the years. Most of their food goes along with beer and/or soju. Aside from that, I think most of their food has been wonderful. The servers are quick and attentive. Togo is pretty quick since I have been ordering togo quite often during covid (have been satisfied on how quick they are). This is a unique experience, its worth the visit. For what it is, it's not that loud which makes it a perfect vibe for having a drink and korean food.“
“I was pleasantly surprised by Kings BBQ! It's actually a pretty lowkey spot and wasn't expecting too much but it was so freakin good. My family and I ordered the pork ribs and prime beef, but imo the best was saved for last when we were convinced to order the cold noodle (highly highly highly recommend). service was a good 9/10 (the side dish refills came a little slow) but very attentive. will definitely be back!“
“Honestly such a great spot. Food is delicious per usual, service was efficient and everyone is generally so kind (shout out to Benjamin!! He's one of the greatest and most welcoming!!) and yes ambiance feels homey, a great place to take friends and family. and the bathrooms are always clean. I've been here three times within the past two weeks--a comfort spot for sure.“
