Gangnam Kimbob is a hidden gem in Artesia. This small, family-run spot has a very laid back atmosphere and service that is always hospitable and upbeat. The kimbap is a favorite for many, made fresh to order with fresh ingredients. The rolls are big sized and “luxuriously copious,” with generous fillings and more ingredients than rice in every bite. There are over 20 varieties, including bulgogi, unagi, tempura, tonkatsu, ssam, spicy ssam, and kimchi kimbop. The menu also offers plentiful and delicious options like spicy rice cakes, chicken skewers, sodduk, yubu, and shin ramyun. There is a small dining area with counter seating for maybe 11 seats. You get a lot for your dollar here, and they do discounts during their happy hour.
