“I usually avoid Americanized Chinese Foods counters like these because they're always greasy and all you can taste is oil but all the positive reviews got me curious. For this type of fare this is probably one of the best you'll ever have. Everything tasted great and was well seasoned. I was even impressed by the chow mein that you can choose to go with your bowl or combo plate. Delicious enough to eat on its own! When I do go to places like these I will 100% avoid the orange chicken, in fact there are only few Chinese restaurants that I will order it from. But the very sweet lady behind the counter insisted I sample it and I'm so glad she did. It was still delectably crispy and saucy at the same time. Most places don't get that right. I also had the pepper beef and was also blown away at the quality and how well they incorporate that nice peppery bite. Another thing most chinese places don't get right! On top of that the prices are sooo cheap and the portions are hefty. I gotta two item combo and couldn't even finish it so I had a nice snack for later. The lady there is super friendly and enthusiastic about the food. The place is clean and well kept. Awesome food at a great value!“

Tried the fried oyster mushrooms (addictive!), hot and sour soup (legit), eggplant with basil (I could eat the whole plate), lettuce cups (so tasty), and General Tso's "chicken". While not quite like chicken, it tasted good and everything was well made. The restaurant itself is spacious, with plenty of room. It's at the upstairs corner of the shopping center. The lady who served us was nice, and there's even a robot that delivers things to you while it plays Kenny G, keeping things chill. If you want good vegetarian/vegan options, House of Fortune is a must!“

Here, at Happy Bee, I'm delighted to say their curry chicken was predominantly chicken. Oh so tender chicken! Found out all noodles are made there which makes it way better. The flavors of the dumpling are very flavorful. I usually will get my food taken out especially on the weekends since there's usually a line to get a seat. The ambiance is typical Chinese 70- 80 style inside but the menu is excellent and extensive. If they don't have your dish on the menu just tell them what you want and they'll probably prepare it for you. These days all restaurant prices are going up and here is no exception. I like the typical dishes, Kung Pao Chicken, broccoli beef and I love vegetables so any of the three meat Chop Suey (chicken,beef,shrimp). I also like their popcorn shrimp and their egg foo young. I ordered Kung Pao cuz it's one of my husband's favorites and since we don't eat much anymore, we only needed one entree to share. IT WAS DELICIOUS AND HONESTLY THE BEST KING PAO I'VE EVER HAD!! It had the right amount of seasoning and was NOT overly salty. Like some, I'm fine with MSG, so I don't notice it. Also at $17 for one entree, which included enough rice for both of us, we ended up with THREE servings! We both ate it for dinner and I had enough to eat it again for lunch! “If you're looking for authentic Cantonese/Food off the beaten path (on the west side of HH) without having to compete with all the traffic (between Azusa Road and Nogales), check out Cocoin. It's run by a really cool couple. I'd say their food is definitely a strong 4 but their service and how nice they are bumps it up to a 5. There's plenty of seating inside. It's not huge but if you need tables for large parties of 8 to 10, they have those as well as smaller tables for parties of 4 or 6. There's plenty of parking outside. I've visited numerous times over the last few years and I'd say everything we've eaten so far from beef chow fun to hainan chicken hovers around 4 stars. Their hainan chicken is bone-in unlike Cluck 2 Go. Their portion size like their pork chop dishes (i.e ging do pai gwut) is a really good value (especially now a days) and their wok hay for their stir fries and chow fun is good. I particularly enjoy their herbal drinks which can vary from day to day.“

I ordered the steak and brisket pho, I have to start by saying this was the BEST brisket I’ve had in a pho. It was not fatty at all, and super tender but not dry!If you follow me on here, you know the type of pho I like. This one was clean and packed a little flavor. I wouldn’t say it’s the best I’ve had, but the brisket was unmatched. The noodles were fresh and intact too. — On the downside, I ordered the salt & pepper shrimp, but I didn’t like it. I ate one, and they still charged me for it. Not the best customer service I’d prefer, and they asked me about it. So I just thought they’d take care of me. “Hit the spot!! I was craving some tofu and decided to order from Lantern Garden. I ordered the country style tofu, and a couple other meals for the week. I got the shrimp fried rice, country style tofu, and kung pao shrimp. I skipped the appetizers and just went with entrees. The country style tofu was good. I love the firm tofu! Yummy. I enjoyed the shrimp fried rice too. That was really good and the shrimps in that were cooked perfectly. The kung pao shrimp definitely had some heat to it, but it was still good. Overall, all 4 of the entrees I ordered came out good. I love that they have a happy hour special on door dash!“

The foods were delivered so fast even thou they had lots of Take out orders. I liked the fried dumplings, Juicy and crunchy. For the chicken kungpao, I give 3 stars, missing something. Spicy but not really flavorful. The chicken pieces are too small, I couldn't taste the chicken. We both liked chicken w lobster sauce, mild, so creamy, soft shrimps w lots of veggies. I give 4 stars. They offer a variety of meal options but I think they're mostly known for their sizzling plates and beef dishes.Our group had the com bo luc lac (shaken beef with rice), com suon cuu nuong sot bo toi (lamb chops with garlic butter sauce and rice), and com ribeye sot bo toi (ribeye with garlic butter sauce and rice). Even though we ordered all dishes with the red rice, there were other options to choose such as white rice, fries or bread. I'm not exactly sure what's in the red rice to even describe it. I wasn't a big fan of the red rice but to all their own.The lamb chops and ribeye were presented on a sizzling plate with a side salad with vinegarette dressing. Lamb chops were tender and ribeye lacked flavor. The star of the meal was the bo luc lac. It was also tender, shaken with plenty of sauce, and had chunks of garlic. It was absolutely delicious! The plate also had a side of watercress and onions that complimented the dish well. It was so good, our table had to order another. Portion-wise, I'd say it's a single serving. You may not want to share it with how delicious it is.Service was great, too. Now, I saw another reviewer mention this, so I will too. Just FYI, their drinks are served in small styrofoam cups. They do charge $0.50 for water. It's not a deal breaker but I guess some people may not like it. I'm assuming it's the charge for the cup itself.“

Don't sleep on it, give this place a try! Very friendly owners as well. We were told that the most popular options was the Spicy Fried Chicken and the Marinated Beef. Both were good! I liked the spicy fried chicken just a tad bit more. Loved how crispy the chicken was! I definitely want to go back and try the Cumin Lamb as that was also another popular option. We ordered the regular size and surprisingly satisfied our hunger for me and my bf. I think the large size means they give more meat - not that the roll is bigger.
