“I was craving some donuts and gave Simone's Donuts a try after hearing great things about it. This is a mom & pop donut shop, I love that they're open 24/7. Thus, when I had some late night cravings, I was able to swing by. Surprisingly, there was still a good amount of people inside and outside the donut shop at 11 PM. They are brightly lit inside, which I like. Even though it was late, their cases were filled with donuts and they still had new batches coming out! I got a variety and was able to share some with coworkers and family. Some of the donuts were okay, a little bit on the sweeter and greasier side. However, I really enjoyed their cronut! (Croissant donut). It was flaky, and I liked all the layers. I also liked their apple fritter and ham and cheese croissant. I'd be back, especially if I needed to bring a variety to work!“

“Circle donut is a little better than your average donut shop. The day I went they had a few employees so even tho the store was packed, they handled everyone pretty well. They had a better selection of donuts than most donut shops I've been to. I purchased a dozen, which my gosh, has gotten expensive throughout the whole industry, but the donuts were very good and even tho it was more expensive they had specialty donuts like red velvet and blue berry cakes. Definitely recommend if I'm the area.“

“I love donuts. They are delicious, enriched, simple and affordable. It is what all donuts should be. This shop lives up to that expectation. The yeast donuts are fluffy and have a subtle crunch from the cooking process. The croissants are huge and generously filled. The jalapenos had a nice kick. The owners a husband and wife were both in the shop. She handles transactions with good customer service and he loaded the case. It's a labor of love and much respect to this donut shop in Long Beach. It is worth the visit for a solid donut and coffee.Parking: It was raining and early when I went. “Stopped in on a whim, found super friendly employees allowing me to browse, and ended up buying some things even though I knew I couldn't finish it. Due to unfortunate circumstances on the Metro Blue Line, I had to get off at Willow Station and take a bus back to DTLB. There was a 20 minute wait, so as I was walking from the Metro station to the bus stop, I stopped into Rose Donuts and Chinese Fast Food. It's an interesting combination, for sure. I had already eaten lunch, but the donuts looked good, so got 20 donut holes (10 for $2) and a Donut Bar - Chocolate glazed for $1.55...to go. No sales tax for donuts, since they are not considered a prepared food. As suspected, when I got home, I was able to finish the donut...and it was delicious. The donut holes were for the next day, and they were still edible ('m sure it would have been great fresh)..but became too hard by the following night. My bad for ordering too much. As the sign says, they also serve prepared chinese food from a steam tray, and have ice blended smoothies and breakfast and deli sandwiches. Took pictures of the menu and later realized that the chinese food menu doesn't have prices. The turnover of the food on that steam tray didn't seem to be too fast, though just a guess.“

“I was thirsty and not in the mood for a soda so I was hoping this donut shop serves boba drinks, and the answer is yes they do. They're so good, I ordered the Taro tea boba with whip and another time ordered the Thai iced tea. The ladies who work there are really friendly and if you're feeling lucky you can pick up a lotto ticket. They also have really good croissant egg sandwiches. It's not a hang out spot, when you pull up you'll see why but the food hit the spot on the go.“

The sweet lady helping us included a couple of complimentary soft and pillowy donut holes with our order and I appreciated that. I ordered the Sausage and Egg Croissant and was pleasantly surprised that the sausage is the Kielbasa-type split open and carmelized inside a fairly good size flaky and buttery croissant. I was wowed by it because it wasn't what I was expecting especially comparing it to similar type neighborhood small business donut shops I've patronized. It was a delicious sandwich. The price is also reasonable which is important to me in these inflationary times. They have a variety of food and drink options on their menu. They share parking with other businesses in a strip mall. If you're in the area and want a super casual breakfast or lunch option, throw them some support. :-)“

I also occasionally pick up some donut bites, and they're pretty okay, but it's that shake that keeps me coming back. In addition to shakes and donuts, they serve sandwiches, although I haven't explored that part of the menu much. Keep in mind that if you're paying with a card, there's a $5 minimum charge and a $0.50 fee afterward. Service is always nice.Parking can also be a bit challenging when it's busy. So, if you plan to visit during peak hours, it's a good idea to prepare for that.“

I had never been to Yum-Yum Donuts until now, so I was taking my time to look at all the selections they had to offer. There wasn’t anyone in line behind me waiting, so I figured it was fine. However, she just kept standing behind the counter, looking annoyed at me until two minutes went by, and she said to ‘let her know when I’m ready to order.’ This wouldn’t have bothered me if she had said it politely, but unfortunately, she didn’t.Once I finally said that I was ready a few minutes later, she came back to the counter from the back kitchen. I asked her about the new filled muffins they have on sale because it looked really delicious. I inquired about the flavor of the muffin and filling. The response she gave me was, ‘The muffin has no flavor. It’s just a muffin. The filling is a whipped cream or custard.’ I was confused and said, ‘What do you mean there’s no flavor? That’s impossible. Every muffin has to have some kind of flavor, even if it’s just vanilla extract in the recipe.’ She continued to argue with me, saying that it didn’t. So, I got annoyed and decided to get something else instead. I don’t understand how you don’t know what flavor your product is if you’re making and selling it. It’s probably a good idea to have the employees of your store learn all the different flavors and types of baked goods for sale in the store if you want to be successful. They should probably have a more patient and kind demeanor as well.“
