“This place is awesome. Really good food, drinks & merch. The only complaint I have is I wish people with their laptops who sit at a 4 top table alone understood how selfish that is when this place is incredibly busy. I always thought cafes should have a time limit for people with laptops or a bar set up on the wall just for people with laptops. You literally are fighting for your life for a table there on the weekends. Will still go though lol“

“I couldn’t make my flight connection and was stuck here for a day. I’m glad I did. I ended up here to meet up with some friends and saw “matcha and chai” on the menu. Apparently they’re separate menu items, but I just asked if they could do both. They were awesome enough to try it and here I am writing a review of how blessed I am to get stuck in LA with a matcha & chai latte.“

“My roommate decided to try the coffee after hearing about it through a friend in CA (we are in RI). My roommate says it is by far one of the best coffees he has ever tasted. Very aromatic! Smooth and just, well, a must try! It was also ground well, packaging was great, delivery was on time. Website was easy to use. We'll be back for another shipment!“

My personal favorite is the mocha..which I have to say is excellent most of the time. Most of the time, because I don't feel like different baristas are trained to make it one specific way. Which is what I want in coffee.. consistency.
Luckily, most of the time it's really good.
I love their patio..its among the prettiest I've ever been to..people don't seem to use it more for some reason.“

“One of the very best "local" coffee roasters around. Over the last year they've become our favourite. You can visit for a relaxing coffee in a friendly environment, try out, then order a bag of freshly ground coffee. Also one of the best English breakfast teas we've ever tasted. We've now moved to the UK but Sheldrake's will always be our "gold 🥇 standard".“

“Our Spot has been a revelation to us since they were at Livs in second and now in Naples. They have helped bring a sense of community back to the Belmont shores and Naples which I very much appreciate. The drinks are always on point, yellow submarine is my all time favorite but we have tried a bunch of things on the menu and they are all fantastic. “This place was cool. Not busy early in the day. Cool relaxed chill place. I just wish the rest of the businesses would also open early. Coffee was the only option around 9-11 am. Everything else opens after. Food and drinks. Other than that, it was a nice place.“

The coffee shop is brand new on a lot with vacant buildings.
It was easy to order from the cashier and you have the option to order with the kiosk and or online via the Da Vien rewards app.
The banana latte is pretty good.
The strawberry oat milk is really good.“

“Bites is it great little hole in the wall that's easy to miss with very reasonable prices for the area. It's much cheaper than the breakfast at the Hilton right next door. It seems to be busy in bursts which is not surprising considering the surrounding business and civil offices.“

“The San Pedro location, unfortunately, wasn’t accepting online orders, so I made the trek to the Long Beach location. Thankfully, this location was accepting online orders, sparing me a 6 a.m. pastry pilgrimage. I scheduled a 12:45 p.m. pickup but didn’t arrive until 1:45 p.m., so I won’t fault the pastries if they weren’t piping hot.

Colossus Bakery on 2nd Street sits near some of my favorite Long Beach spots, like Holey Grail Donuts and Win-Dow. I ordered three items: a cardamom bun, kouign amann, and pecan sticky bun, eaten in that order, which also reflects my ranking.

The cardamom bun was delicious: the spice came through without overpowering the pastry. It was denser and doughier than the light, airy pastries I usually favor, but still excellent. The kouign amann was similarly dense, though each bite had a satisfying audible crispness. The pecan sticky bun lived up to its sticky reputation with plenty of nuts, though it ended up my least favorite of the three (but still very good).

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed my pastries. I imagine they’d be even better fresh or warmed, and I can’t wait to work through the rest of the menu. Colossus Bakery has officially joined my elite Los Angeles/Long Beach pastry rotation. Highly recommended!“

“Delicious drinks and warm service which always brightens my morning before work. The interior, however smells strongly of urine (likely due to using an ammonia cleaning product), and I cannot spend too long in the store otherwise I feel nauseous.

Please add more savory pastry options so O can grab breakfast here! Even a frozen sausage sandwich will do at this point!“

“Everything about this place is awesome! Ishmael helped us and his whole vibe was chill (in the best way possible) and kind. The tea was wonderful and the food was delicious - so.much.food. My only adjustment to the whole experience would be to turn by one quarter how people are seated at the tables. My daughter sat with her back to the door and I was facing her. The glare from outside was pretty bright so I wore my sunglasses most of the time. We probably should have just taken it upon ourselves to scoot around.“

“I live two blocks away and this bakery has single-handedly destroyed my self-control in the BEST way possible. The brownie bites (pandan, strawberry, ube-Oreo) are life-changing. I buy a box thinking “I’ll save some for later” and then 45 minutes later they’re gone and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.
These brownies are pure joy. Serotonin in dessert form. When they closed for a week after the holidays, I experienced real emotional damage.

I would take a master class, but honestly it’s safer for society if I don’t learn because I would simply become a brownie.

Also the iced vanilla oatmeal cookie? Elite. Legendary. The bomb dot com.

11/10. Five stars. Would happily lose all control again.
