“My favorite shop in Long Beach, and the best frittata I've ever had anywhere, ever. Seriously. The patio is cute AF.I get a cold brew growler every week, and the ricotta jam toast is so good. All of the jams are made in house or locally. The service is always flawless and kind, and they know many of their customers by name ?️⚧️?️?“
“Perfect brunch/breakfast spot. Super cute casual charm with dishes to match. The portions are great and the food was delicious. I particularly loved my baklava latte- definitely a yummy treat on a rainy morning. My eggs Benedict were great and on latkas?? Delicious! Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was super quick and efficient. The only downside is the parking and size of the location, on a rainy day everyone was waiting for an inside spot, so you may have to wait a bit for a seat. Thankfully we arrived early enough to not worry about that ! The food was a bit on the pricey side, so definitely be warned that two dishes and two drinks, plus tip was about $60. That brunch price may not be for everyone, so please know that it’s definitely a bit more of a price to pay but I wholeheartedly think that it was worth it!“
“The cookies: We tried Ube, Churrodoodle, Sprinkles and Cookie & Cream. Perfect texture and the perfect balance between crispiness and chewiness. Satisfying crunch giving way to a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center. These are definitely gourmet cookies! The Brownie bites: Although we love the bite size idea I hope they add on regular size brownies. Our favorite and one of the reasons we keep coming for more Foodologie is the Ube & Cream brownie. The shop is super cute and the staff extremely friendly!“
“Fantastic banh mi, I've tried their classic number 1, Dac Biet, and also the pork belly bath mi. Both good, but the Dac Biet is always my favorite. Lee's Sandwhich was my go-to but this is the first banh mi place I've had that tops Lee's I'm quality at the arpund the same price.“
“I've always seen this place packed during lunchtime. I came here to try their sandwiches. They have only seating outside. There is street parking and in the neighborhood. The shop is a grocery store in the inside. They have jeni's ice cream, pasta, deli meat, cheese, refrigerated pasta, salad, and sandwiches. There's also pasta salad you can choose. The staff was super nice and quick in making my sandwiches. I got the Prosciutto di Parma, which has mozzarella cheese and prosciutto. You can definitely taste the freshness in the ingredients. The other sandwich i got is the spicy combo. It definitely was spicy you can tell from one bite of the salami. This is definitely a great sandwich shop.“
“Egg Heaven is reopened and good as ever! My partner and I had breakfast at Egg Heaven Cafe the other day and it was worth the wait for them to re-open. The place was pretty busy and we had to wait a little bit to be seated but, it was worth the wait. The waitresses were ALL very friendly, there were lots of food selections, including vegetarian and, the food was very good! If you're looking for a hidden neighborhood 'go to' restaurant, this is your place.“
“Tables were filled, but I managed to find a seat. Got a matcha latte, a grey earl tea tart (Heart shaped, very cute), and a strawberry tart (Very good), the barista made my drink very quickly. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant, I could see doing my homework here or reading here in the future.“
“This GEM is a somewhat hidden oasis for the ?️⚧️ Community ?️? the breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich are GAY-mazing! Added some extra crispy bacon and a side of guacamole for even more deliciousness. The potato tacos were fabulous as well (I ordered them with and without tortillas). The staff was amazing - the cashier took notes of all of my special requests and delivered ABOVE AND BEYOND! I definitely recommend this place - I visited 2 days in a row ?Vegetarian options: Potato tacos!! So yummy ?Parking: Just find a spot and walk - well worth it!! Enjoy the exercise :)“
“It was busy at the store today. Donna wasn't there today to help me at the self check out register. She is patient with me, and helps when ever she is able. Thankfully, i only had 3 items. Whew! No matter how busy, she always welcomes me with a smile.“
“People that give low star reviews to places because “the line is too long” or “I couldn’t find parking” are annoying. Are you expecting a coffee shop to be empty in the morning??The drinks and food are great, the staff is friendly. 5 stars.“
“Been here a couple of times love it ! The place is so cool and the people that work here fit the whole coffee shop to the area to sit can get a bit hot ! They have this lemonade that has ginger it’s so good ! And the coffee is bomb is strong this place is for real coffee lovers not no dense down coffee!“
“I’m from Washington, so I’m a bit of a coffee snob. This place met and exceeded expectations. Iced Americano is classic perfect signature, strength, espresso taste. The violet caramel mocha is extremely smooth and subtle flavors. Well worth the risk to try one of the signature items. Extremely clean and inviting environment.“
“I’ve gone to there 3 locations 2 in Long Beach and third in Cerritos all 3 have excellent service and great delicious donuts very different and unique in there own special way…my ultimate favorite is the Cream Cheese Guava Cronut Yes Yes and Hell Yes!! ???Thanks again for your unique Donuts!“
“After living in Europe for 5 years I’ve been missing the bakery with in house made things, but I’m so glad I found this cafe because they have the best muffins I’ve ever had. Not dry at all. Everything else in their bakery I’ve been eyeballing because it looks just as good as the muffins, so I can’t wait to order other things too. Their pastries are a good size, too. And I’m also reliant on good coffee, and find myself craving the chocolate mocha I got from there both times. It’s not too sweet or bitter, it’s just perfect with a great texture. Will be returning frequently. It seems like a good spot to work on the laptop in too.“
“Let me tell you about (Wrigley Coffee Shop) in Long Beach. Is so nice and lost of space to hangout and have a (Hot or Cold) Latte or Tea with family and friends. Also they have a Conference room to have meetings or a Study room. Employees are really polite and nice also the Customer Service is good. #cold #hot #flavorsyrups #latte #tea #Coffee #8oz #12oz #16oz“
“Great place to get your morning coffee and bakery / breakfast. Finally an enjoyable place to sit and relax without all the noise of other coffee places while enjoying the yummy coffee. Had the veggie scones which were totally delicious as well as the oat milk latte with HOMEMADE caramels syrup. Hope more people support this business, it's worth a visit! Great service too, friendly and authentic!“
“Cute little wine bar in downtown Long Beach. We made reservations and a table was set aside for us, which was a plus! We tried several wines that were not very good. We asked for some suggestions, and the waitress recommended some pretty good wine tastings. We did not eat any food, as the menu was very limited. Parking is difficult.... Due to being on the street and metered.“
“A friend of mine introduced me to this place. He went on a couple of vacations to Italy, Greece, France, and a few other places and in the process came back with a far better appreciation for espresso.Hands down, his favorite place when he's in town for a simple espresso is this place. He says there's no competition. My palette isn't nearly as discerning as his, and I normally don't take espresso straight up, some taking his word on it.Whenever we come here I always ask the barista which is her favorite drink. A lot of them are seasonal and change regularly. They also have plenty of milk alternatives for people like me with a little bit of milk sensitivity.I've never had a bad drink here, never had a bad experience, the place is clean, the service is pleasant and friendly and knowledgeable, and it's easy to waste an hour or two. Just chatting and enjoying yourself here.“
“Really fun ! The double 07 was so yummalish perfect sweetness. We also tried the lavender latte and it was good but the oavender was a little strong I rec doing half sweet. The matcha is good but not incredible. The vibe is the best el música fue divertido and todo es tan bonitaaaa I love the vibe“
“Really delicious bowls! The only funny thing that happened the last time I was there was the employee autopiloted a bowl without letting me choose my toppings after I told them the base I wanted. I was too confused/embarrassed to say anything other than "Is this mine?" When they were halfway through. They were very nice! Probably just stresses that they were working alone.“
“Food is pretty standard breakfast brunch fare. Good good but nothing extra special. The atmosphere is really really cute. Decor is fun and chic. Came here with a large group for a bridal brunch and everyone was late but the staff was super accommodating.“
“Quiet little coffee shop with a welcoming owner. Ordered two regular coffees with a dirty chai latte. Hot drinks and good size cups for a medium. Ordered a regular butter muffin and the owner took it to warm it up and slice it for us as well. Never received that kind of service from a smaller end coffee shop before. Definitely not from a chain either. Lovely outside patio tables and chairs and the greenery surrounding the area is lovely. Highly recommend. Very clean bathroom as well“
“Reminded me of the old days The old fashion TV which was still working with old cartoons, push button phone, couch covers and appliances. Blast from the past. I can not wait to go back and try other food choices. Fresh squeezed orange juice Umm.“
“Such great service. The lady acknowledged me and was so friendly. I ordered the flaming hot Cheeto donut. It was surprisingly delicious I even had to share it with my friend so she can experience the flavors. She was also so surprised and had to tell her friends. It's a nice place to drink and eat and relax.“
“We went to chocolate bash for an after dinner dessert. We were greeted by the very friendly woman behind the counter. She told her we wanted coffee. She suggested the Arabic coffee. We also ordered a chai karake, banana roll and strawberry stick. We got dark chocolate and cookie butter on the strawberries and dark chocolate on the banana roll. The drinks, desserts, and service were amazing. I can't wait to go back and try something else!“
“Coffee is good & vegan dount as well!Came here for a quick coffee run! Big time worth it!Ordered there Iced Horchata Latte 5/5Cost $ 7.50$1.00 for oatmilkTotal $8.50Vegan Dount$3.00The place was good but it cost a lot for a coffee for sure!Perfect place to do some work! For sure, it's a nice vibe!“
“Very cute aesthetic but even better quality drinks and service. Easy to park and walk in, I usually prefer a drive through experience with kids but this was very do able multiple days and different times of day. All the baristas were very friendly and had great recommendations, the drinks and food were fantastic. I’d recommend the instigator and a breakfast burrito! I will be back when I’m in the Long Beach area.“
“Blue Bowl Superfoods is great! There are numerous options for acai bases and toppings. A plus is that your total isn't dependent on the number of toppings you choose but on the size of your bowl. Every time I go to Long Beach, I always look forward to indulging in acai bowls from here. The service is average. Employees are fairly friendly. The ambiance is nice. It's located inside a big food court, so it's usually busy.Overall, this place is delightful and I would recommend coming here.“
“While the outside & the inside of the store may look rough, the donuts are so delicious. The service was very kind, the lady at the counter was super sweet and the man working in the back was also kind greeting anyone he came in contact with.Good variety of donuts, sandwiches, teas, and plenty more. I’ll definitely come back.“
“First hard boiled egg added to avocado toast; very suprised. In addition, had mashed avocado plus fresh sliced. Never had this type of thick sliced and beautifully toasted brioche before. Only which they could carry GF but size of cafe and cooking space prevent (only reason for 4 stars).Coffee is excellent.Vegetarian options: Just check out and best priced avocado toast in area.“
“Laurie's has this vegan chocolate cutie pie thing in a jar... it is to DIE FOR! So good! Folx here were happy to point out the available vegan items to us. We appreciated the time they took with us. The place smelled great and was lovely to visit. The parking and some of the local drivers are terrible though. Took us a literal hour to find parking--and some weirdo followed us in his car!“
“My wife and I visited Long Beach for a weekend and she found this shop on google. Tried it out first day here and enjoyed our coffees so much we decided to come back a second time before we had to leave for the airport. We had the mocha, cortado, and shared the avocado toast and a breakfast burrito. 10/10 for everything! The music playing was very chill for a Sunday morning. Alex, who was working was super friendly and attentive, the food was flavorful and delicious and we loved the coffee so much that we ordered a second one to go even after having a full breakfast and coffees. Will 100% come here next time we visit Long Beach“
“Went here wanting to have dinner after the Grand Prix and we got sat down right away. Amazing service by Daniel and I loved my chicken parmigiana with a side of pasta. The ambiance, atmosphere, and setting made our Sunday night dinner such a great time. Big shoutout to all of the staff at Michael’s Downtown in Long Beach. I will definitely be back.“
“The bacon avocado toast was the best I've ever had and I try them all! It's huge and full of fun extras! The bacon was perfectly cooked and plenty of it. To top it all the service and lattes were just as top notch! I'll be back!“
“The coffee was STRONG but delicious! I love that they open before 11 am and that their coffee is served piping hot. The ambiance was serene with plenty of seating. I ordered the creme brûlée cheesecake slice and it was leagues better than what I expected! I am not a cheesecake fan but will go out of my way to get this again. Overall, a great place to get your day started. Service was great, really nice people! Will be back again soon ☕️“
“Going to Sala for coffee and breakfast is a delight I look forward to. This place is hip; the music and decor are on point, but not in a pretentious way. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. If its coffee, wine, or good food, they got you covered here. It really is my local salita ✨“
“came here on a saturday & it was exceptional !it's small but wasn't too busy, which worked out ! Everyone is really friendly, and the pastries were delicious.I got a Honey Oat Latte price of $6it had a perfect balance of sweet & strong ! 10/10my friend ordered a Burnt Carmel Latteprice of $5.50tried it and it was good ! Probably a little bit stronger but still good !Don't know the pastry names, but they were phenomenal 10000/10the vibe is everything !Coming back for sure ! ♡“
“I went as part of the Elite Event and was graciously gifted a bag of coffee and a free coffee beverage of my choice. I also wanted to have something sweet to go along with it. I asked for something not super sweet though... and staff recommended the flowerless chocolate cake which I already had an eye on. The chocolate cake was moist and deliciously chocolaty. In combination with the relaxed view of the Marina I had a great afternoon coffee time!“
“It was Gran Prix weekend - so parking was tough, I like the vibe of this spot as well as the "something special" in their coffee, was bummed there were not a lot of pour over options, I ordered the cinnamon dolce latte and a blueberry scone, lots of milk subs and coffee tastes fresh brewed and not burnt.“
“Small business owned. My teen goes in before school, and the lady remembers him and is always so kind. For a teen to tell me, every time that woman is so nice and is always smiling makes me happy. So thank you to the owner for making his morning a little brighter.Donuts are always fresh. Clean atmosphere. It's definitely a good place for donuts and a drink.“
“Drinks : 10/10, I love sunright and their drinks! This my first time at this location and I'm glad I discovered it. It's a lot closer to me than the other locations. I got the grapefruit jasmine tea and it was SUPER refreshing! If you love grapefruit, get this! I also got the crème brulee boba milk with pudding and that was also a 10/10! Service : fast, friendly, and efficient. Ambiance : big space inside to wait! Decorated very modern and cute! Lots of photo ops!“
“It was certainly weird coming here having worked at the coffee bean it used to be! I got the Spanish latte (condensed milk and cinnamon) with an extra shot which was great. The baristas were super friendly. My only thing is the all white decor - I'm not a minimalist by any means so not a fan. I love a little flare, a little razzle dazzle if you will. Would definitely still go back to try other drinks!“
“A lovely fairly large coffee/mini bakery that has an eclectic bookish vibe. It's a great space for getting work done or relaxing, and theres a decent amount of seats. The walls have outlets for electronics. Staff is friendly, and the bakery treats have been tasty so far. Drinks are decent, though I haven't tried more than a couple tried and true to my own tastes (cold brew, Armenian coffee, tropical iced tea), best of all, its open late ?? which is such a commodity for this type of location. Parking can be a little tricky, closest is along the street if you can find it, otherwise I haven't had too much trouble parking in neighborhoods close by, they're lovely as well to walk through to get to the shop :). Overall a staple for my reading/journaling days. Shoutout to whoever makes the fruit tarts, they are some of the best I've ever had honestly ?“
“The breakfast burrito is phenomenal. I order it without pico de gallo, bacon, & add potatoes. Eggs are fluffy, potatoes are seasoned and have a Cajun kick, & bacon is thick. It may look small but it’s hearty! This coffee shop has a calm, inviting atmosphere. There is outlets so great place to work/study.“
“I love the coffee (philtered soul and mint mojito are my go to's) and love all the pastry/food options! It's a great place to study as well! There's a Sushi place next door so you have to enter from the street side slider closer to roosevelt rd.“
“I am not a food truck fan in general. Maybe two or three times a year I go to one, but it was raining and cold and there was one at the front door so tonight was Food Truck Night, and an overcooked, overpriced burger with too many fries would be just fine.SO WHAT A THRILL TO DISCOVER ITALIA ON THE ROAD instead. The tastiest lasagna I have ever had, with a fresh salad I was too full to eat.The bread and chocolate chip canolis, which I did have time for, were good enough to write about. So I am. Wonderful dinner.Equally important if not more so, ANGELO and SOLENT, the Truck's partners in life and lasagna, were so kind and warm and genuine that my dinner experience soared to really special heightsThey are cover-model captivating, both of them; without a touch of conceit. The food tonight was exceptional, and my experience unparalleled , .in that great way when life occasionally makes the ordinary extraordinaryPeople worth knowing, food worth tasting, and a small business worth supporting. ITALIA ON THE ROAD.Dinner is served (see photo).Buon appetito.“
“My first time here ?. Immediately I noticed there’s parking available as well as street parking. The inside and outside are clean! There’s seating inside and chairs outside for you to enjoy your cup of coffee etc. The lady that took care of me was friendly with a smile which goes a long way. Did I mention their coffee was very good. I had it black. No sugar no extra junk. Just black. It was so good!Love this place!Parking: Not difficult to find parking space.Kid-friendliness: Atmosphere inside is conducive for families.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp for wheel chairs is built in.“
“Keep coming back to this spot, for many reasons. The food, service, ambiance, location, novelty. I've been during the daytime for a latte in the sun, and I've been at night for an incredible dinner service. I would say I prefer the nighttime experience, just because the coffee is pretty over priced, and they haven't nailed the daytime-cafe-vibe yet. Needless to say, they have certainly nailed the nighttime vibe. Wonderful small plates, super yummy pizzas, creative and beautiful dishes. Recently, my group of four and I shared a pizza and a few small dishes as well as entrees. Out of all of the dishes, my Alaskan halibut was agreed upon as the best, which was surprising! The creamed leeks beneath the fish were unlike anything I've ever had. We also REALLY enjoyed the snap pea salad. Such unique flavor combinations! The burnt basque cheesecake and marscapone gelato were wonderful treats to end our meal. I will continue to come back!“
“Wish I lived closer to have Carmen's be my daily coffee stop. I can't stop thinking about the banana foster latte I had. Toasted butter and real banana no artificial flavoring or syrups. My next try will be the eggnog latte if I can make it before the season's over. I also hear my friends talking about the strawberry latte. Can't go wrong“
“This is truly a gem of a hole in the wall!! Almost literally, and I say that with respect and appreciation. This cute little eatery is easy to miss, being tucked in a very small strip mall (if it even qualifies as that!) between a small pharmacy and a laundromat, just south of the Arco on the corner of PCH and Pacific. But once you have eaten here, boy oh boy is it hard to forget!I come here about once every other week when I'm on a regular work schedule. Became hooked immediately with their unique bahn mi sandwiches and their pate chaud. Now I'm completely obsessed with their plant-based shrimp spring rolls and their grilled pork bun bowl. That bowl is the perfect balance of light and filling, flavorful and refreshing. It is one of my lunch go-to options. And the plant-based shrimp rolls are AMAZING. Obviously I'm not vegan, but this is an item that I enjoy so much despite it all.I have yet to try their pho. Maybe one of these days. They do have seating inside, but no restroom. Also, parking lot is small and shared, so I avoid coming during peak lunch hours, usually after 1 to pick up my food, and I've had no issues.Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian and vegan options, flavorful too!Parking: Parking lot is pretty small and shared with a pharmacy, laundromat and discount store.“
