When I asked him for an extra scoop of tuna, he told me it would cost extra, and I got annoyed because it looked too little. I was already angry, but he handled the situation so calmly and respectfully that he actually made me laugh in the end. “so I've had the sandwiches here a few times during some work meetings. Pretty good spot my usual go to has been the chicken cesar salad sandwich but yesterday I had the roast beef sandwich. Occupying the former location of a Wahoo's at the LBX, Mendocino Farms had a QR code in front of their under construction building. The QR code was for a Free Entree w/ purchase once the restaurant opens. Not one to pass up free food, I made sure to use my phone to scan & sign up. Once open, I was ready to check out Mendocino Farms for the first time.

The menu at Mendocino Farms consists primarily of sandwiches, salads & soup. After a quick perusal, I thought the Peruvian Steak sandwich best whet my appetite.

Peruvian Steak sandwich-
Spicy aji amarillo marinated steak with Oaxacan cheese, herb aioli, red onions, tomatoes, shredded romaine on a toasted potato roll. I quite liked this. Tender steak, with fatty cheese. The vegetables provided contrast & texture. For my purchase, I went with a side of Southern Potato Salad. It was good, but similar to grocery deli potato salad. In hindsight, I should've purchased avocado added to my Peruvian Steak sandwich.

Service was excellent. All hands were on deck, as Mendocino Farms opened only a few days prior. Each employee had a name badge, specifying their name & which entree was their favorite, helping indecisive customers choose what to get. Plenty of seating indoors & al fresco. Parking is at LBX, with Mendocino Farms being across Georgia's and facing the Hangar at LBX.

I found the Peruvian Steak sandwich delicious, yet meager in quantity, considering the regular price. It's more of a substantial snack, than a full meal, in my case. However, it's great to have another quality food option in the area, and I look forward to coming back & exploring the rest of menu.“

“Really good Cambodian sandwiches for very reasonable prices. They're filled with tons of veggies and have the right balance of sweet and sour with the pickles. Will absolutely come back again. Spring rolls were not so special but that's not what this place predominantly sells.Not ironically, the staff informed me that sandwich #1("combo") is the most popular and #2("meatloaf pork") is the next. Glad I took their advice.“

Subway sucks, Jersey Mike's rules! A nice, plump submarine sandwich was just what my tummy was craving. All the more so when it's free! While the various cheese steaks looked mighty tempting, an Original Italian with it's six cold cuts of meat, was too enticing to pass up.

Original Italian (Giant-sized)
Provolone, ham, prosciuttini, cappacuolo, salami & pepperoni. Extra Mike's Way (tomatoes, onions, lettuce, red wine vinegar, olive oil blend, oregano, salt), pickles and banana peppers for good measure. Rosemary parmesan bread. Giant-sized is indeed a massive behemoth, of which I had a bit of a difficult time finishing. But finishing it, I did, because I'm a boss. Every bite of the Original Italian was delicious, and had me wondering why I don't eat sub sandwiches more often?

Service was great. The staff were quick slicing the meat, and assembling all the ingredients for my wonder sandwich. A few table to dine at. Jersey Mike's is located at the Long Beach Town Centre, inbetween In N' Out and Barnes and Nobles.

That Original Italian had me satiated for the entire day! Jersey Mike's provides high quality sandwiches, and is one of my favorite birthday month freebies, which I look forward to every year. Highly recommend“

“I had breakfast here for the first time. I had the Phnom Penh Noodles and Iced Coffee. The broth was good, average portion size, but lacking meat toppings The rice noodles was firm. Condiments comes in packets. Iced coffee was weak and it does have a weird aftertaste. They sell traditional Khmer desserts as well. I will try the shaved iced next time. Most of the customers are takeout out orders, but they do have a few tables for dine in. The restaurant is clean and tidy, including the bathroom.“
