“The one person that was on staff was slammed. Multiple "party orders", shame on manager to be short staffing a day that is big for them. I am aware there is a major labor shortage, but companies are getting through it without sacrificing employees they have. Anyway, she did great. Was very apologetic, I assured her it wasn't a big deal. Another man did as well, who was there to get his party platter. Being nice to one another, or just not being a tool, can change things quickly into a positive environment. Be kind.“

“Located across the parking lot of the Farmer's Market pyramid on Gothard Street (near the intersection of Gothard and Edinger in Huntington Beach), this is a small, family-owned restaurant specializing in sandwiches (hot and cold) and broasted chicken (a special cooking process combining pressure-frying and traditional shallow frying, to produce juicy fried chicken with a crispy outer layer). The chicken is VERY GOOD: crispy on the outside, juicy and very tasty on the inside. It's not as greasy as conventional deep-fried chicken, and therefore it's much easier on your stomach. You can get the chicken in combos (2-piece, 3-piece, 5-piece etc.), with or without sides (you get to pick 2) and a fountain drink. Or you can simply order as many pieces as you like a la carte. The potatoes were excellent: you get huge chunks (basically 2 per potato) that are crispy on the outside but soft as baked potatoes on the inside. Great idea, I loved it! We also tried one of their hot sandwiches, specifically the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. The sandwich is 9" long, good size for a whole meal, and still a good size to share if you're also eating something else. Maybe it's not as out-of-the-world fantastic as John's Philly Grille (which I consider by far the best Philly Cheesesteak in Orange Co.), but it's not that far off. It's pretty simple: thinly-sliced ribeye steak, provolone cheese, onions, and mushrooms. Pretty much the original recipe, except maybe for the mushrooms (a concession to West Coast taste, maybe? Personally, I love mushrooms in a Philly Cheesesteak!) The service was excellent. The wait was about 15 minutes from order, which is very reasonable (if the food is too fast, chances are it's not that good...) Highly recommended.“

“Amazing food, taking a page out of Schlotzky's book with the warm bread and flavor. Service was a bit slow, that's why it's 4-stars. A similar shop (Moe's in Orange) can pull off equal flavor in 1/4 the time. That said, it's worth the wait - but be prepared to wait about 15 minutes post order. I'd definitely go back, but would order in advance. If you like Dutch crunch bread, this is your jam.“

“There is a big line. But it moved quickly. We went through the drive-thru. My husband and I both ordered breakfast banh mi's, mine was fried egg, my husband's was fried egg and spam. They both were very delicious in the bread tasted fresh. I just wish the sandwiches had more substance I felt like it was lacking some veggie or something. But for the price I guess it was fair. Taste wise, It was delicious and I have no complaints.“

“Nice filling sandwiches with a lot of different flavors to choose from. I just feel that as good as their sandwiches are, the interior of shop could use an update. Still seems rather industrial in inside appearance. But definitely, you won't get these kinds of sandwiches anywhere else! I am writing this review specifically for the care the team took tonight 3/20 7pm on my mobile order for my daughter, who will be late coming home from school. They actually read my special instructions note and took great care to follow through with my weird request of wrapping the bread and veggie/meats separately so that her bread wouldn’t get soggy. Lots of options on menu, with classic cheesesteaks, chicken varieties, different variations on fries with toppings, and east coast branded products (chips, and root beer). The interior is decorated with Philadelphia sports memorabilia. Although supporting the North Jersey and NYC sports teams the food is worth the exposure to the Eagles banners. Lol. Service is questionable as I felt I got lectured on using their website to order food nearly half of the transaction. I tried the #2 which is from their healthy like which is chicken salad with cashews. most of their healthy sandwiches have sprouts which are perfectly crunchy and compliment the whole thing. I've been back twice this week and I'm excited to try new items on their menu but boy oh boy I can't ever have regular lunch meat sandwiches again!“

“This is one of the best places for banh mi out there. They serve the best banh mi in OC. Customer service is okay and friendly. The servers were not attentive sometimes. We had to flag them down sometimes for food and water. The wait for the food was kind of long but the owner was apologetic and friendly about it. Food: Banh Mi Thit Nuong 5/5 One of the best banh mis that I've ever heard. The beef was grilled to perfection and everything just tasted right for this banh mi from the do chua (carrots and daikon) to the grilled beef itself. So delicious. I would recommend to try out this banh mi. It's totally worth it. Com Nuong Ca Salmon (Grilled Salmon with Rice) 5/5 The sauce for the ca nuong was delicious and rich in flavor. It went well in harmony with the salad and salmon. The ranch sauce for the salad for the salad was also pretty good. Quesadillas: 3/5 I could not really taste the melted cheese in the quesadilla or it was kind of bland for me. Aged 26 Days Rib Eye Steak: 4.5/5 The owner was kind enough to offer us some rib eye steak. This is one of the best steaks I've ever had. The meat was so soft and tender and the meat was creamy and full of flavor. I would get this again. It was so good. The problem was only the portion size. They offer a variety of drinks just like your take out places for Viet to go places that are good. Overall, the service was friendly with it being a little slow for the wait for the food. Other than that, it's great and I would definitely come back again and recommend everyone to try out this place. It's totally worth it.“

“Definitely up there with the best banh mis in OC. Crispy exterior bread with soft interior, and the delicious pickled carrot and daikon complement any protein they offer so incredibly well. Lemongrass beef #16 was really good. Also got the #9 bbq pork which wasnt bad but had a more traditional american bbq taste that i didnt expect. Will definitely be coming back in the future!“

“I understand the topic of bad customer service these days has been beaten to death in the news and social media but this Philly’s location really took the cake.We went to pick up our phone order tonight and the young lady who charged us and handed us our bag was so unbelievably rude.My husband and I were very polite and for whatever reason got three eyerolls out of her in our 60 second transaction.We walked back in immediately because something was missing from our order and she acted like it was OUR fault. She gave it to us with an extra eyeroll before we left. We must have been inconveniencing her.Food here is fantastic, and that deserves at least 4 stars in my opinion, but I will not return to this location.“

We had friendly conversations and enjoyed hearing stories of his travels. Next, the food here is freshly made and is affordable compared to subway or togos. Definitely a deal for $8 with a combo. “The Jersey Mike's Subway was delicious. The second half was even better on the second day.One thing that kind of bugs me is their reference of vinegar and oil as "juice". Sandwich juice seems a bit gross. The staff were very nice and efficient. One man took my order, cut the baguette, and put the meat on the bread. “Excellent smash burger. I got the double wagyu smash cheeseburger and made it a combo with garlic fries and drink. Both are delicious. Anyone who is familiar with the Freddie's chain (Freddie's is not in CA to my knowledge), this is the style of burger here. Dipping sauce is 35c. The ranch dressing is actually good, made fresh, and not the weird generic bottled ranch most places give. (Sorry no pics, I was pretty hungry.)“

“I am writing this review based on the stellar service, particularly from Kevin. I was so impressed by the person and any business would be beyond lucky to have him. He actually comes off as he genuinely cares, and I think this is increasingly rare in this world -- he is a breath of fresh air and truly blew me away with his service and care. I am visiting and my friend wanted to eat there. I am vegan and the store has little to offer in the way of vegan options. I asked what could be done for someone who is vegan and words can't describe how attentive and caring he was during the whole process. He made suggestions, took notes amidst kind chat and assurances that weren't even asked for, and then at the end, he even double checked, asking the person who cooked it, again without my asking, "You didn't put cheese on it, did you?" These types of people really should be recognized and I hope he is. We go through days full of people trying to get through the hum drum, collect their measly checks and go home. And nobody can blame them -- things are hard these days. But it makes people like Kevin even more of a rarity and I really hope his display of exceptional character is rewarded.“

“Hands down the best subway I've ever been to. Dushan set me up with the best combination of Tuna, Wheat bread, sauces, and veggies. All I knew was that I wanted to eat healthy and that I wanted Tuna; I left the rest to him and he set me up perfectly. “My first time ever having Firehouse Subs and I can see the appeal! I got the hook and ladder sub and it was prepared pretty quickly. It was packed with ingredients and it was the perfect temperature. I also love the slice of pickle they give you and pairs perfectly with the sandwich. I also ordered a side of chips to add an extra crunch to my meal.The inside is pretty spacious with a lot of seating available. I love the interior decorations that really honor our first responders.
