“I ordered the signature beef bahn mi to go. First thing I noticed was how expensive it was. I was regretting my decision to come here. Then the food came out, and it was packed with meat and veggies. The bread was slightly toasted. The meat was juicy and flavorful. It's now one of my favorite bahn mi sandwiches I've ever had. It's pricey, but I'll still come back for it!”

“Great spot on base that’s absolutely worth the visit. Getting in is straightforward. Just show your ID at the guard gate and you’re good to go.

Once inside, the vibe at Fiddler’s Green Pub is laid back, friendly, and surprisingly lively for a military base pub. Prices are very reasonable for both food and drinks, which makes it an easy choice whether you’re grabbing a casual lunch or winding down after a long day.

The standout for me was the onion rings: crispy, golden, and seriously addictive. Easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

Overall, a fun, welcoming place with good food, good prices, and a relaxed atmosphere. Definitely coming back.”

“I’ve passed this pizza joint twice a week for years, but never stopped. Decided I’d try it and I’m glad I did, it was delicious! Crust was perfect and they put a lot of toppings on it. Had a pepperoni and Italian sausage pie. I will definitely buy here again, a great pizza.”

“What a great hidden gem in Los Alamitos! I ordered an Americana bagel on jalapeño bread, a hot tea and an iced vanilla chai, everything was delicious. Plus they have ice nugget machine which I prefer instead of the big ice chunks for iced drinks!
The iced vanilla chai was SO good, much much better than its big corporation competitors. I will definitely come again. Both girls behind the counter were very kind and patient and gave me the WiFi password and gave me recommendations. They really made you feel at ease. What a delight to visit, I would certainly recommend this cafe to anyone looking for good prices, good food and yummy drinks!”

“It’s pretty easy to see why this place has been in business for so long I obviously love coming to new places and trying new things, but today was a special treat rare is the occasion that I get to try bread right from the bakery that made it I stopped in at Pollys by accident but the first thing I noticed for the delicious pies and the clientele because not only is it a bakery but it’s a restaurant! they keep their menu pretty straight to the point but the flavor of the bread and the quality and the texture is just amazing I had to try the Ryebread with some of their home churn butter it reminded me of the stuff I used to see on TV when people actually made their butter… It was delicious the smooth creamy butter mixed in with the flavor of the Ryebread made the 599 a pansy almost like I was ripping them off the staff was very friendly and the store was very clean this looks like a wonderful place for an early dinner or an incredible breakfast but the next review is gonna be about the chocolate cream pie because I imagine that something that should be smoked in a pipe it’s so good!”

“My meals were delicious. They make some of the best Carnitas I've ever had. I decided to try out their Sopes today with carne asada which was great! Very generous portions for their prices. The staff was very welcoming and worked with a sense of urgency. I would highly recommend for anyone that wants great food and service!”

“Update Aug 25, 2026 Michel the lady at the counter was very nice to us. Waited patiently as we decided what to select for breakfast. We got the breakfast biscuit sandwiches. The combo includes a drink and potatoes. The potatoes are wonderfully flavored with spices. Loved them. Very flavorful. I got the soda drink ..the cream sodas bring back good memories . The interior is very clean and kept up well.

“Bartenders are cute and very friendly. Drinks are good. Jukebox is fun but sometimes your songs won’t play because a dj takes over and you don’t get your money back. They keep it pretty cold in there. I’m surprised more people don’t go there. They have pool tables too”
